The Bull Ring
The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. The Bull Ring is also known for their juicy lamb or pork chops, mouthwatering barbecue baby back pork ribs or fresh seafood.
If you are looking for a more casual experience, the lounge is a local favorite, where you can mingle with old friends or make new ones in a Cheers-like atmosphere. The bar serves exceptional pub fare, including the succulent Prime Burger.
Dinner: Daily: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
nice atmosphere; dont mind paying for a steak, but sides were terrible. avoid the baked potato $10 and was cold.
Amazing ... still our favorite place in Santa Fe (maybe anywhere).
We enjoyed our 47th Anniversary Lunch at this establishment. The food was delicious and our server Tomas was attentive but not intrusive which we greatly appreciated.
One of our favorite restaurants. Wonderful steak and great sides. Drinks always good and service is perfect.
Best steaks in Santa Fe.
This is our go to steak restaurant when in Santa Fe. We love the ambience & the "old time steakhouse" feel (and the fact that there are usually no screaming kids). We were a bit early for our reservation, so my husband & I sat in the bar while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive (great bartender!). I sat next to a very friendly man who turned out to be the owner. Enjoyed some conversation in the bar with different patrons before being seated in the restaurant.
The waitress arrived to get drink orders & returned with the drinks fairly promptly. We then ordered dinner. 3 of us had the "Matador" steak (but the Chilean Sea Bass, which was a special, was very tempting), 1 had prime rib, and the other had the vegetarian platter (an extremely generous portion). We also had an order of spinach for the table. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, the ambience, and the selections. The service was good, but a bit slow towards the end of our stay. I would definitely recommend the Bull Ring if you are looking for nice steak restaurant.
Mediocre at best. Charged us $5 to split an entree and didn’t tell us upfront. So it was okay but not worth the money, for sure.
The food was very good but not the best prime rib I've ever had. The service was very good in many respects but our water glasses were never refilled. For the price I expect excellence in all areas and we did not get that. It was a birthday celebration for my best friend and she loved the complimentary cheesecake. That was a nice touch. I don't get to Santa Fe often but The Bull Ring is a splurge I allow myself when I do.
This restaurant was by far the best place I have eaten in a long time!
As always, great food, great service and the best martini’s in Santa Fe
Great spot for dinner. The prime rib was delicious. Nice selection of wines. Definitely recommend The Bull Ring.
Great service, enjoyable dining, worth the expected price tag.
Reliably wonderful food and
Wonderful professional service
The night was fun; the service was on point: wait staff was engaging, patient and knowledgeable.
For the price point I thought it would be a bit more posh, but the venue was still good.
I would recommend any and all future diners ask for a booth!
Fabulous meal with great service! Great place to eat in Santa Fe.
Our evening began when we were greeted by our lovely hostess—friendly and charming. My husband and I continued on to have a remarkable meal; he had the filet mignon and I the Santa Fe chicken along with sides of au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach. Wow, just wow—perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our waiter, Tomas, was friendly and efficient. We also had a lovely Cabernet chosen from the extensive wine list. The guests seemed to be locals who knew and cared for one another and who certainly knew the best place in town to eat! In a world of amazing Mexican food, the Bull Ring was a beautiful change of pace—five stars!
First visit & if I were to return to Santa Fe & were looking for a fine dining experience this would be my choice.
Sorry. I know this restaurant's probably been in business in Santa Fe for a long time, but it needs serious updating. The food, service, ambiance, and decor are all mediocre. Not to mention the prices are seriously high.
We have walked past The Bull Ring many times and never really paid attention. It is a busy establishment, and a great place for a steak in Santa Fe. The food was great and the service attentive. We will be back.
An exceptional steakhouse, on a par with the best, Smith and Wollensky Vegas, Chicago Cut and Shaws crab house in Chicago, prefer to eat here now compared to Geronimo
AS ALWAYS ALL WAS PERFECT..... The Staff is exceptional and did not have a problem splitting our entrees. Thank you for your attention to detail. The food was prepared just as we ask it to be. We half time in Santa Fe each year and it is always a special honor to make a Bull Ring Reservation...
It wasn't a terrible experience, but for the price the food and presentation left a lot to be desired. Would not go back or recommend.
Enjoyed meeting owner and the regulars at the bar!
Food was average. Service was great.
Great steaks! Coming from Baltimore the Steak House feel was authentic. Great service.
We had a delicious meal. The steak was perfect. The sides (scalloped potatoes and spinach were outstanding.
Only true old school steak house in Santa Fe! Everything has time tested and excellent menu and recipes ! A favorite of locals !
Todo excelente, la entrada de atún muy buena igual que los crab cakes, la carne lo mejor, excelente atención!!!
This is a fabulous restaurant. I make a point of eating here anytime I’m in Santa Fe. Been coming here for 30 years. The owner was in the bar and introduced himself just as he did 30 years ago. Food (steak and escargot) were amazing. Best in town. Service was fantastic. Several places we ate at during our recent stay in Santa Fe were good with below average service. Not here. Best waiters in town. Do yourself a favor and go!
Always the best place in Santa Fe, NM. The staff is always great and the food is wonderful!
Really enjoyed the steak and sides! Great service and courtesy.
Excellent example of the friendly atmophere and great food that makes you want to go back to Santa Fe. Thank you Harry and Jose for a great experience.
Pat and George
Waiter excellent as was the food
Very nice. Great service
Steak Delicious Steak! Yes, this is the Ruth Chris of Santa Fe. They have nearly 50 years of delivering delicious dinners and desserts. They will exceed your expectations with flawless service and truly amazing food. Ordered Wedge salad, filet steak, and baked sweet potato. We appreciated wait staff and table visit with GM.
Definitely an amazingly good dinner; and definitely recommend/
Very good steaks.
The food was fabulous! Top 3 steaks I’ve eaten. Potatoes Au Gratin as a side was so yummy. Fantastic Colorado Bulldogs.
The food is classic steakhouse delicious, and overall I love the place. However, the waiter was nice, but kept forgetting to bring us items we ordered. He got our cocktails wrong, then completely forgot to bring an iced tea. My husband ordered a cappuccino and I said I would also like one. He responded so I know he heard me, but only brought one.
The steaks were great but I'm not sure that makes up for the lousy atmosphere! I made a reservation for 4 and they put us at a 2 person table, even though the party of 4 who walked in before us, without a reservation, was seated at a 4 person table. The bison was completely full of gristle and the manager argued with us that we didn't know what we were talking about. The spinich literally tasted like it was cooked days ahead and reheated. I would not recommend!!
Wonderful place for outstanding dining in a very pleasant locale and with
