The Bull Ring
The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. The Bull Ring is also known for their juicy lamb or pork chops, mouthwatering barbecue baby back pork ribs or fresh seafood.
If you are looking for a more casual experience, the lounge is a local favorite, where you can mingle with old friends or make new ones in a Cheers-like atmosphere. The bar serves exceptional pub fare, including the succulent Prime Burger.
Dinner: Daily: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Always the best place in Santa Fe, NM. The staff is always great and the food is wonderful!
Really enjoyed the steak and sides! Great service and courtesy.
Excellent example of the friendly atmophere and great food that makes you want to go back to Santa Fe. Thank you Harry and Jose for a great experience.
Pat and George
Waiter excellent as was the food
Very nice. Great service
Steak Delicious Steak! Yes, this is the Ruth Chris of Santa Fe. They have nearly 50 years of delivering delicious dinners and desserts. They will exceed your expectations with flawless service and truly amazing food. Ordered Wedge salad, filet steak, and baked sweet potato. We appreciated wait staff and table visit with GM.
Definitely an amazingly good dinner; and definitely recommend/
Very good steaks.
The food was fabulous! Top 3 steaks I’ve eaten. Potatoes Au Gratin as a side was so yummy. Fantastic Colorado Bulldogs.
The food is classic steakhouse delicious, and overall I love the place. However, the waiter was nice, but kept forgetting to bring us items we ordered. He got our cocktails wrong, then completely forgot to bring an iced tea. My husband ordered a cappuccino and I said I would also like one. He responded so I know he heard me, but only brought one.
The steaks were great but I'm not sure that makes up for the lousy atmosphere! I made a reservation for 4 and they put us at a 2 person table, even though the party of 4 who walked in before us, without a reservation, was seated at a 4 person table. The bison was completely full of gristle and the manager argued with us that we didn't know what we were talking about. The spinich literally tasted like it was cooked days ahead and reheated. I would not recommend!!
Wonderful place for outstanding dining in a very pleasant locale and with
We visit Santa Fe often and The Bull Ring is always a highlight of our last night. Always outstanding in food and service.
We each had a petite fillet, which were exceptional and cooked perfectly to our requests. I had a house salad which was very basic. Spring mix and a few shredded carrots... one small cherry tomato. My husband had the sliced Tomato and Onion salad. He thought the onions were very good. We both opted for their oil and vinegar dressing, which I would not recommend. They serve a crudité plate upon arrival which had a very good Ranch Dressing and next time I would get that as my salad dressing. I deducted one star for service as we sat for quite a long time after being seated for our waitperson to come and take a drink order which was very surprising because it was 6:30 pm, the restaurant was not busy at all and we had reservations. Good ambience and delicious steaks, so I would definitely recommend it for a nice meal.
They have a nice house of wines & delicious entrees.
So disappointed. I have been to Santa Fe literally dozens of times in my life and never gone to The Bull Ring, so I was excited to finally try it. It was such a disappointment. All the entrees are a-la-carte and prices are quite high, so you have to order sides separately, and they are large portions and meant for sharing, so they are also rather high for sides. Our starter was shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp were on the verge of going bad, so they put them on a bed of lettuce and literally at least half a cup of cocktail sauce ALL OVER them, you could not even see the shrimp. We had to send them back, they were mushy and old. Then the wedge salad, literally a chunk of iceberg with a skinny layer of thin blue cheese dressing, and they charged us another dollar for "crumbles". Worst and wimpiest wedge I have ever had in a decent restaurant. The steak was a T-bone, and had a huge wad of fat in the center that took up literally almost a third of the steak. The asparagus was "market price" and almost 15 dollars, and over cooked. The atmosphere is nice, the waiter was good, but he brought us the check three times after the meal and three times he neglected to credit us for the shrimp we sent back, so I was not sure he was forgetting or hoping we would just pay it anyway. I would not ever go back or recommend it. Luminaria at Inn at Loretto has much much better steaks, as I am sure many other places in town do, and the rest of the menu is abysmal.
When I googled best steak house in Santa Fe this came up. Service really sub par... food was dropped with no silverware, bread was delivered still no silverware. Prime rib was tough... sugar caddie delivered with no sugar in it... poor experience all around..
My husband and I shared the Porterhouse. It was delicious. It was a great option for us as we are following a keto diet and there were several safe choices on the menu. The steak was cooked perfectly and we did a great job on it and we took the leftovers home to our dogs where they dined like kings!
Filet was on point! Will def be back!
Delicious food in an elegant setting! Indoor and outdoor dining weather permitting.
You can never go wrong at the Bull Ring. Fabulous food! We had the tomato and onion salad and the pork tenderloin. Both were wonderful!
Excellent as always. It' our place to celebrate if we are in Santa Fe.
The steaks were very good as usual, but the menu here is starting to get a little tired. The wine selections continue to be a major negative, with mediocre wines, some of which should not be on any respectable wine list, served at inflated prices.
Have been dining at BullRing for several years and service and food always excellent. We introduce our friends each year and they let us know they will return again.
Great! All enjoyed the meal. Excellent service! All requests were followed!
First time in Santa Fe. We were looking for a great steak house. We were not disappointed. Great flavor, cook to perfection. Salad was cold and fresh. Cheese cake was outstanding
5 star experience!
My husband and I were in town for quick weekend getaway. Our meal was outstanding and the service was wonderful. We will be dining here every time we are in Santa Fe!
The steaks are about as good as you can find nd. We had the filet and it was very tasty and done to our order. Sides are large and very good.
We ate in the bar, our choice. It was a bit crowded and noisy but, hey, it was the bar. Food was excellent, better than earlier visits this year. Service was good even though the server was handling the entire bar solo. It's back on my list of recommended eateries in Santa Fe.
No complaints whatsoever. From the bowl wings at happy hour, to the four steak dinners we enjoyed later in the dining room, everything was great. MIQUEL, our server, was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Steak was buttery tender, but needed a little more seasoning.
Same for the atmosphere...a little bland. We sat out in the courtyard and it was very sterile and quiet.
Would not go back. Too many fun places in Santa Fe!!
The food is always good! High quality cuts of meat and perfect preparation makes for a great dinner experience!
A great restaurant in Santa Fe to get a good piece of beef, a generous glass of wine, and classic steakhouse sides. Noise level is negligible makng conversations comfortable.
Food was good but service not up to par. Once food was brought we never saw our server till time for the check.
A nice touch is that management visits the table to say hello and thanks for the business.
We love everything about the Bullring, we go there often.
Very disappointed. This used to be our go-to restaurant in Santa Fe. I dont think we will go back. The waiter just could not get our orders straight. I am allergic to bleu cheese, so I asked for no bleu cheese on the salad. Instead, I got DOUBLE bleu cheese. We asked for sauce on the side. The shrimp was covered in sauce. I dont think those are unreasonable requests.
We love the Bull Ring and make it a regular stop when we are in Santa Fe. Our server Andrew was fantastic and his assistant too. The food was awesome and the atmosphere is very warm and relaxing!
I recommend the Bull Ring for any occasion.
It was a wonderful experience with amazing food. We will for sure be going back!
Underwhelming in every way. Servers were messy, spilled drinks and forgot orders. Food was bland, buns were dry, meat was overcooked. Decor is extremely dated (not like Santa Fe charm). I won’t be back.
