The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. We eat here every time we come to Santa Fe. We love the ambience (old time steakhouse feel), the service, and the food. My husband and I ordered the El Matador (30+ day aged U.S. Prime strip loin. Served with green chile, sautéed mushrooms and onion straws). This time I was a bit disappointed in my steak, as it was a bit tough. My espresso martini, that per the menu & the last time I had one here, comes with a “cream float”, did not have the cream float & no one seemed to know what that was. All in all it was a pleasant meal & we will come back.

The medium-rare rib-eye was delicious with its marbling. The green chile stew and sweet potato fries were excellent. The Bull Ring has the steak house look and feel, and it's downright quiet.

We sat in the bar with a western saloon vibe. They only had three beers on tap and not very good ones (Blue Moon) was one of them. The food was way overpriced for what it was. Our $14 house salad was like one you’d get at the IKEA cafeteria but with addition of two olives. My business burger was overcooked even though I ordered it medium. We wouldn’t go back there again and can’t understand why this restaurant gets such high ratings.

We were in Santa Fe celebrating my husband's birthday and were hoping for a great meal. I was not impressed. Service was slow. The hostess was rude. The food was average. After visiting, I feel like this is the kind of place that you need to be a regular to get the best service, food, etc.

Everything at the BULL RING EXCEEDED my every expectation. Food was awesome, the service was absolutely perfect. The only thing negative I can say is the the BULL RING is in Santa Fe (in a really cool neighborhood) and I liev in San Antonio, Texas - I am seriously thinking of moving so I could be close to the BULL RING. I’ve eaten at the Bull Ring four times. The first two times the food was fantastic, the last two times the steak was extremely grisly and way undercooked. I don’t know if kitchen staff changed or the restaurant changed meat suppliers but it was a shocking difference.

If you're in the mood for beef, this is a great and fairly reliable choice for a good steak of any cut. Had the petite filet, caesar salad and loaded baked potato. Everything was cooked to perfection. The bottle of wine we ordered was no where to be found in their wine cellar, which was a bit of a bummer, but we had a delicious half bottle that was fine as well. It was busy on a Sunday night at The Bull Ring, so noise level wise, it was a little noisy but not unbearable. We've been coming here for years, so we know what we're going to get - unless you order a bottle of wine that can't be found :D

This our second time through Santa Fe, and our second dining experience at the Bull Ring. It was so enjoyable the first time, we had to go back! Filet, house salads, augratin potatoes, and mushrooms were perfect. We'll be back again.

What a classic steakhouse should be. Steak and sides were excellent. The Caesar salad was interesting with halves of anchovies on the salad, it made the salad very strong. Overall it was a wonderful experience

We sat on the beautiful outdoor patio. Our fillets were cooked perfectly accompanied by creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. My wife and I split the raspberry and rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream which was delicious. Perfect evening. Highly recommended.

Got the New York Strip, medium well and it was perfectly cut and cooked! My wife likes well done and her steak was still juicy and perfection. Highly recommend for a date night or business meetings! Well done and keep up the great work!

Have eaten here numerous times. The food is good and service is average. Things have improved a bit since COVID but still not quite back to level of several years ago. I still see this as the best Santa Fe has to offer in the way of steak so will continue to visit, hoping the experience will improve more.

Absolutely the best steak (meat quality and grilling) of any in Santa Fe. Market Steer and Radish and Rye, nice restaurants both, don’t even come close in the steak dept. The new wine list, a long time coming, finally complements the quality of their meats. Now they need to work on salads and side dishes. But meanwhile, go there for the ribeye!

We are definitely coming back the next time we are in Santa Fe. Food was great, including desserts (pecan pie!!). We felt very welcome and well taken care of. We could just relax and enjoy each other's company and the experience. We ate in a certain former football player's steakhouse in Vail last month, and honestly The Bull Ring was superior.

We had asked for a table on the patio and it was rather cool out there at 7 p.m, even though the sun had shun the whole day. This, however, was not the restaurant's fault. I mention this simply so that other diners are aware of this. Otherwise almost everything was first class, the food and the service. Since portions in the US are always more than abundant, we ordered 2 small filets and a salad plus one baked potatoe. They served it nicely and even split the potatoe in two halves. The wine was good but in the second round we did not get the same red wines, i.e. Cab Sauvignon. We found out too late - again our fault.

None of the dishes had any flavor that would in any way render them unique. No salt or even garlic salt appeared on either the steak or au gratin potatoes. The reason one would spend the $$$ charged by the Bull Ring is to be served a meal one would find difficult to duplicate at home for a fraction of the cost. In this regard, they failed.

The Bull Ring reminds me of some old fashioned steak houses I've been to in very large cities, an ambience my husband loves. Me? not as much. That said, we went for his birthday and he enjoyed every minute of it. The service was excellent, something that is hard to find these days. The staff were engaging without hovering and had great timing. Food was very good, including the rhubarb raspberry pie that did not taste like it came out of a commercial freezer. The other diners included a couple of groups of young people, tables of only men of various ages, as well as middle aged and older couples like us. The noise level was such that we could hear each other all evening. Thanks for a perfect birthday celebration! p.s The Bull Ring is not responsible for their guests' attire, I know. I am disappointed when we go out for a nice dinner and boys to men are wearing sloppy t-shirts, white socks and tennis shoes, short pants and baseball caps. Call me old fashioned.

A terrific restaurant with excellent food and choices on the menu. The ambience is comfortable, cozy, and very relaxing. We live in Santa Fe, and this was our first visit to the Bull Ring-it will not be our last! Highly recommended.
