The Bull Ring
The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. The Bull Ring is also known for their juicy lamb or pork chops, mouthwatering barbecue baby back pork ribs or fresh seafood.
If you are looking for a more casual experience, the lounge is a local favorite, where you can mingle with old friends or make new ones in a Cheers-like atmosphere. The bar serves exceptional pub fare, including the succulent Prime Burger.

The thickest and tenderest steak of all - 12oz
A favorite of many, served au jus - 16oz
A smaller, but equally tender filet - 8oz
Great drinks, steak cooked perfectly, lyonnaise potatoes tasty... only disappointment was that we didn't have room for dessert!
We are celebrating our wedding week and I made the reservation weeks ago. We were not disappointed. Our food was sizzling hot. So glad we came. Although we did not get a free dessert our Creme Brule was tasty. If we lived here we would be back.
Very good restaurant. Food was cooked perfect. Service was exceptionally good. We will be back.
The food is always excellent here! And the staff is excellent too-especially Lisa.
We have been to the Bull Ring on several occasions for special days. While some may find it pricey, the food is always good and the steaks are special. Service is always great and unhurried. Nice place for a drink at the bar or a special dinner on a special occasion.
For all meat lovers. The Bone-In Ribeye and Filet Mignon are unequaled in this town.
Beef prices have gotten a little ridiculous, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue. This will remain one of our favorites.
The device, food, drinks were all outstanding. My friends and I shared a prime NY steak and sides.
Food was very good, and service was good. Prime rib was delicious, and a very generous portion. We were very sad that they no longer have the calamari.
Was nice to be back to the bull ring.
Absolutely the best filet mignon I have eaten! I am picky about beef cuts and the filet is my favorite.....lean and tender. I have eaten at many restaurants and grilled my own, but none compare to the steak at The Bull Ring.
A little pricey but you gat what you pay for. To save a few bucks for a lesser quality steak is not worth it to me.
I will definitely go back. That says it all!
We had a delicious dinner at The Bull Ring during our time visiting Santa Fe. The service was terrific, especially from our waiter, Morgan. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and we enjoyed every bite of our meals. This is a great place for a special evening out.
Would go back here! The food and service were outstanding.
This is a great restaurant with good food, service, and ambiance. Everything met expectations for this caliber of an establishment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant. It looks particularly nice for dates, special occasions, and groups of 4-6.
An exceptional experience! A wonderful treat when visiting Santa Fe.
Short stay in Santa Fe. Special dinner to end our long road trip. Relaxing dinner perfectly prepared. Server was efficient, friendly, and informative. Convenient parking in underground garage.
We enjoyed our experience at the Bull Ring and will certainly return. My only suggestion would be that parties of four not be seated at a booth. The space was too small for four diners.
Seriously, there’s not a better steak anywhere in Santa Fe, NM. We had dinner for my birthday and absolutely everything that hit the table was fresh, hot and delicious.
I had the filet and lobster tail it was melt in you mouth fabulous.
My friend had the ribs and loved them. Crunchy Onion Ring appetizer’s were awesome.
I had an orange creamsicle cocktail 🍸 it was a nice birthday treat.
The classic ambience in the dining room is very tasteful and comfortable. It’s an expensive dinning experience but totally worth the splurge. Don’t hesitate if your looking for the perfect steak.
The steak is absolutely superb. Melt in your mouth. The side dishes could be seasoned better. Like the asparagus and Mac and cheese. You get what it's worth. The side dishes are big enough for two to share! Service was everything that I would expect at an upscale steak house.
Beautiful upscale setting. Perfect in every way.
Great restaurant! We had the opportunity to meet and chat with the owner who is quite the character and makes the restaurant!!!
Great service with excellent food. We eat at the Bull Ring a couple times a year and the service and food are always great.
A perfect gathering spot to reconnect with old friends! Food was perfect! From the vegetarian plate to the rib eye steak, every dish was pleasing to the eye and perfectly prepared to order.
Old school and outdated steakhouse. Sides shine, meat is well buttered. Tiny wine list, 60's era balloon glasses (no swirling your wine here.) There seemed to be some personable servers; we did not score one. Better choices within blocks.
Charming atmosphere...very "clubby" steakhouse-like. The challenge is food and service. Our waitress brought drinks and said the "fresh bread will be right out.." It took an hour, yes an hour from the time we arrived to get bread on the table including requesting it twice from our waitress then asking a third time from another waitress. When the food came out, the $21 shrimp cocktail had 5-smallish shrimp that looked they had been defrosted after coming through Kroger. The chili was described as "ground-beef" but arrived as chunk-beef and was inedible. When we pointed it out to our waitress, she explained "that's what they told me it was...." (not, sorry, could I get you something else). My steak was a good cut of meat but not especially favorful; drowning in butter (which, in fairness, they said on the menu to ask for less / no butter which I forgot). The side dish of broiled tomatoes was delicious. Overall, not at all worth the money and the service would keep us from returning.
Food was excellent. Our server was very friendly but could have been more attentive as she only check on us once.
Made a reservation to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, after being seated it took 30 minutes to even get acknowledged for drinks. After getting our drinks we asked for our check and left.
We always love the Bull Ring! It was wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️
Celebrated brother-in-laws birthday. Everything was delicious and service was impeccable as usual. I had the prime rib and it was wonderful.
Excellent young waiter, attentive water fillers, and the best steak I've had in my life.
Great ,as always! This place is a favorite every time we come through Santa Fe!
My wife and I have dined at the Bull Ring before and have been quite satisfied. Not so this time. My wife’s shrimp dinner was very good but my New York strip steak was terrible. Though is was cooked perfectly, cut quality of the meat was very poor. Since this is primarily considered a steakhouse, this should not happen. I am familiar with quality steakhouse restaurants like The Palm and Ruth’s Chris and these set the standard. The Bull Ring is expensive and not worth another visit by us.
Great experience. Has classic steak house feel. Nice music in yhe background. Food was excellent. We would DEFINITELY eat there again, when in town.
We used to love this place but things have gone downhill. Higher prices is understandable in today’s economy but the quality of food has drastically declined in the past 9 months. Sad.
Absolutely delicious food, excellent service, a great experience.
Simply the best, we had a really enjoyable dinner. The staff is friendly and attentive. The quality of the food can’t be beat.
Morgan, the server, was excellent! Attentive, kind and efficient!
Mediocre food at exorbitant prices. $10 for a baked potato that arrived cold. Server said he would get me a new one but after 5 minutes the same potato came back warmed up. Server never came back to table to ask if we wanted another drink. Steaks were delivered on a tray covered with napkins. The hot plate stuck to the napkins causing the sizzling butter to splash about when the server tried to pick it up. My plate couldn’t be removed so it was set on the table with all the napkins under it. Not a great presentation plus the fear of the hot butter splashing on us.
We finally gave up having another drink and asked for the check only to receive one check for two couples - we had requested separate checks at the beginning. The server argued that we didn’t request two checks. He then proceeded to ignore us even more, making us wait a long time to pay.
All of this to say, save your money and time and go elsewhere.
Food was excellent. Felt like our server was not as attentive as he could have been. Kept passing by without checking on us. We will recommend to friends.
