The Bull & Last
We have secured planning permission to add six bed and breakfast rooms to the top floor of the building. We expect to have completed the building works and be up and running by early Autumn 2019. This project has been in the works for a very long time and we can't wait to finally get stuck in, building the next chapter in our journey.
For bookings of more than 6 please contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org
We are dog friendly but only on our ground floor. If you are intending to bring your canine pal please call the pub directly to insure that we can accommodate you.
Sunday roasts are served from 12.30 -4pm only. Bookings for Sunday evening will be dining from our daily changing A la Carte menu.
If you would like to book in for our Sunday evening quiz please contact us directly.
Absolutely first rate in every way! Spacious, casual shabby chic dining room upstairs. Great service and the food was delicious - every single dish!!
Lovely roast dinner. On the expensive side but one of the best tasting I’ve had in London. Lovely neighbourhood pub in a fab location. Will miss it whilst it’s being refurbished!
Great Sunday lunch, lovely staff and really decent Bloody Mary too! The whole family loved it xx
We will miss our Sundays at the Bull and Last very much while they are under renovations.
Service was informal but very attentive. Asked if we had any food allergies- that’s never happened in a pub before. When offered a tip was told that service was included! That’s never happened before either!!
Been going here for years - it never disappoints! Love it.
Excellent food as always, never disappointed when go here.
Real shame that the Bull & Last will be closed for refurbishment for a year as it is such a great place. Hoping it comes back better than ever!
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
Still my favourite pub for eating breakfast lunch or dinner
It was great! Delicious lamb
Bull and Last was quiet enough at lunchtime for conversation without strain. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Mushroom linguine was sublime. Meal was somewhat overpriced, £66+ for one course, three soft drinks and two coffees.
The food was immaculate - especially the linguine with chanterelles and truffles. And the fish board had amazing brown crab meat, a delicious mackerel pate and probably the best soda bread we've ever had. The service was easy, laid back but the waiters were also incredibly knowledgable and could answer any questions, food- or drink based.
Food took some time to reach the table but it was so delicious we didn't care any more.
Nice place and very good food.
A delightful and welcoming place for a lovely Sunday roast.
Great in all ways except I’m not keen on dogs and food . were some big ones blocking women’s toilet !
Amazing food and super service. The Bull and Last is a North London food jewel.
Consistently good. Great place if fancy a good Sunday lunch.
We live locally but haven’t been here since a disappointing birthday visit about 3 years ago when we were relegated to a sticky table in the empty upstairs area. All is forgiven though. This time we sat downstairs amid the action. I had the onglet with triple cooked chips and bernaise sauce while my other half feasted on the fish board. Both dishes were superb. Too full for desserts. Nice buzzy vibe and hard working staff.
To me the Bull and Last is one of the best value dining propositions I've encountered in London. I go there a lot and the menu always has some seasonal creative surprises. The only issue is what to order as everything is so good. I've never had such good hand made pasta outside of top Italian restaurants by the way ! And last comment : the panna cotta we had on our last visit was out of this world good ...
Bull & Last is a classic gastropub. Worth the location, the stunning interiors and yes the food too. But there’s too much of it. I found the portion sizes unnecessary, and walked out feeling overwhelmed.
absoutely excellent in all respects. Wonderful food and service, as always. Thank you
The B&L is one of my favourite go to places. It always serves high quality food in a relaxed atmosphere.
I went for a joint birthday recently and had another excellent meal. Lamb ragu parpedelle to start followed by a shared entrecote for main and a refreshing sorbet for dessert.
The fish is also excellent.
Good wine list and excellent beer & lager.
Value for money but its not a cheap place.
I look forward to my next visit.
Gorgeous food, relaxed but attentive service. Much better here on a weeknight than at a weekend.
15 years and i finally got to go to you guys for a sunday roast and it did not let me down the roast was easily the best in town
The steak is consistently excellent, Love the Bavet, medium rare, charcoal grilled on the outside and red in the middle.... Sorry vegetarians...
Starters, great options and very well executed
Mains, a bit uninspiring
Dessert, one very good and one a bit bland
Staff are lovely but food not as good as it used to be.
Wonderful meal, delicious food and fantastic service.
The food at Bull & Last is terrific: we had the burrata salad, fish and chips, and another fish dish.
Service was also welcoming and efficient!
A perfect place to meet friends for a Sunday roast! Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and staff who are chatty and knowledgeable about the menu. We found out that the gravy is made up of 20 different ingredients...seriously good gravy! The desserts were v special too! Will be visiting again very soon
A must stop every time I'm in town! Food is AMAZING!
All the staff made us welcome as soon as we walked in. The bar man took the time to explain what a virgin mary was even though it was a super busy Saturday night. It's fantastic to be able to get such top-notch food locally. My lamb dish was meltingly tender, the red wine from Puglia superb and panna cotta fresh and full of different textures with it's basil leaves, strawberries and shortbread. We left late and I thought how hard the team work and how good-humoured they are. A big, warm THANK YOU to you all.
Fantastic venue - I absolutely love it here. Great quality ingredients, delicious good, great service and good bar. Always a nice buzz. A neighbourhood gem.
My husband and I had two fantastic and memorable dinners at the Bull and Last while traveling in London in May. The food was delicious and expertly prepared, while the wait staff was well-informed though completely unpretentious. The location and the building itself is charming. The ales on tap and the dessert served as bookends to an overall great meal, twice. You ill not be disappointed.
Worth the wait - have been wanting to try there famous roasts for ages but always fully booked. Roast lamb was delicious and cooked to absolute perfection. Great wine list and yummy ice creams on the dessert menu, too full to sample anything else. The roasts are pricey but such amazing ingredients it is definitely worth it for a treat!
Absolute gem of a pub with outstanding food, wine and beers. We've been a few times and each as good as the other!
We often go to the Bull and Last for Sunday lunch, which it does really well. The staff are very pleasant. The menu is varied 3nlugh to suit most preferences..
Bull and Last is a cute little pub near Hampstead Heath. The down stairs area is busy and loud with dogs and children alike. The upstairs area is much more quiet and reserved. Service was okay, however they forgot a few parts of the meals and gave us the wrong bill (£100 more than ours). The sunday roast was okay, but i was expecting more, as the reviews were quite good. They also only had 2 roast options (both red meat), whereas for most sunday roast lunches you at least get 3 or 4 options. Overall experience was good, but i wouldn't rush back.
excellent, as ever. The sercice and the food were fantastic
The food was first class - well done!
The ambience however was busy, busy, busy. felt bustled and it was SUPER loud. Couldn't really talk unless you shouted and then of course you were adding to the noise!
