The Buffalo burgers are really tasty! The wait staff is friendly, too. We enjoyed our visit.
Good, reliable bar food with an emphasis… in case you missed it… on buffalo! My second trip there was crossing the front range and worth the trip. No gourmet experience but a fine, touristy choice with tasty food. This time I tried the Buffalo Patty Melt. Good choice. Cooked and seasoned well. Some times buff can be dry, but their experience is clear since this was nice and juicy.
Our food tasted no different that we cook at home. It was very overpriced as well. Service was as expected. Oh one of our orders was messed up. We were there with only a couple of other tables; very quiet.
These were great. We got the basic mashed potato/ fries and a cheese burger combination, but the food tasted really good.

We stopped in on a Sunday early evening. The restaurant wasn't busy - the noise level was low, the service excellent and the atmosphere was what we hoped for. The building is an old-style deep but narrow bar, with attached dining room.
We ordered a bison (buffalo) burger and a bison cheese steak sandwich.
The cheese steak was very good - and we both liked the fries. Unfortunately, the burger (ordered medium) arrived well done. That was a surprise considering the restaurant specializes in bison meat. We let the waitress know it was over cooked and ask for another patty less well done. Unfortunately, the next patty showed up rare.
Preparing bison is different than beef, but this is their specialty and we expected more.
I absolutely loved this restaurant. It has the nice mountain town touch and personality. The staff are very nice and are not afraid to strike up a conversation. The food was magnificent and was delivered in a timely manner that did not affect the quality. overall very happy with this restaurant and will be sure to visit many more times
WAS MY WEDDING NIGHT so i didnt complain in person, but couldnt believe the plate i bought was not cooked right etc and ALSO my photographer ordered the philly WITHOUT cheese and mushrooms and when she brought out the philly it had cheese melted all over it plus had mushrooms, he noticed it immediately and said something and they brought him a new one about 12 minutes later so we didnt all get to eat together and was a awkward moment!!! .. you guys should have comped the sandwich for free since he had to wait another 12-15 minutes extra for his sandwich while we ate our dishs. If i get some sorta apology or coupon for free lunch then i would recommend your restaurant to others. Spent 90 plus 17 for tip.. hope to hear back from you.
The food was very good, most made right there. Service was very good.
We stayed the night in Idaho Springs and found the Buffalo online as highly recommended...and they were right. The food and atmosphere were fantastic.
Burgers were great. Interesting decor. Waitress was uninterested. Wasn't busy on a Sunday evening.
fried onion rings were heavy but tasty. buffalo hot dog very good. buffalo meat loaf terrible (flavorless and with an odd, mushy consistency. house salad was probably the best part of the meal along with good tap beer.
They DID NOT have a reservation for us, but seated us very quickly considering they were very busy.
