Good food. Servers were great. We enjoyed the special day.
Exceptional service! Our waiter and hostess were very friendly and accommodating. They helped to make our first date a memorable one!
Should have ordered a steak. Salmon was the worst I’ve ever tasted. Didn’t finish half of it. Yet everything else was excellent.
Cannot win them all. Next time.
The reviews are very misleading. This place is an over priced sports bar. They have multiple TV’s displaying sporting events.
We went for the seafood and oysters. The oyster selection was fantastic and they were excellent... except for the 1 of 3 condiments was cocktail sauce. The other two were chef prepared. Them being advertised as a seafood restaurant, we were really hoping to have some sort of crab dish.... unfortunately all they had was crab cakes. West coast crab cakes. If you have spent time along the east coast, you know what I mean. 10% crab meat and 90% breading. We were disappointed. The staff was professional yet not very friendly or even willing to engage us in short conversation.
I ordered the lamb leg which was excellent. The oysters were excellent. Everything else was fair. For $175 per person, we were disappointed. I’m sure others enjoy that place, but we wouldn’t recommend it.... except for the oysters. Go for the oysters and a football game. Maybe they will have chicken wings next time.
My friend and I were on a girls weekend away we wanted a nice dinner so decided to try this we arrived shortly after 8 and were told 3 times that we had to have our orders in by 9 which we found very rude and rushed. (We had made a reservation online so why have that time if you didn't want people there). The food came and my steak was well over cooked the server didn't seem to care... the new steak came out and the outside was burnt while the inside was pretty raw still (they were in a rush to get out so i can understand not taking the time to make the steak perfectly). At that point I was over the whole meal and just stopped eating it. I am pretty upset considering this was a 60 dollar meal and it was a terrible experience. For that price the meal should have been one of the best I've had and it wasn't. I could get a better steak for much much less. Disappointed and would not recommend this place
We booked this restaurant for good seafood. We left disappointed and will not be returning nor will recommend to anyone. The server we had was unhappy and it felt like he was angry for some reason. Food was not great- mediocre! I would have preferred to walk a few blocks to another restaurant.
Best meal ever!
The Brooklyn has always been a favorite; ever since it first opened I have been an occasional patron. The food is excellent, the staff mostly is good, though they can get a little high brow as if we should be privileged to be in their presence. LOL I suppose that does come from the Brooklyn’s rep.
The Brooklyn is pricey, though the food quality and preparation is exquisite. And this visit was definitely much better than my last visit.
My favorite place to sit is the chef's bar! Big "13 Coins-esque" bar chairs in front of the grill are the perfect place to watch the kitchen action. The oysters are fabulous as are steaks and fish. I had the lamb shank this last time, and I am still thinking about how great it was! The outside was crisp and flavorful, and the meat practically melted off the bone. My martini was great--they know how to pour them. It is not an inexpensive dinner out, so unfortunately I only go a couple of times a year; I would go once a month if I could afford it!
The food was good and Eric was an outstanding professional. Typical over-priced Downtown Seattle fare but delivered well.
This was a remarkably good experience - all around. Our food was fantastic, our waiter was one of the best, and the ambiance was comfortable and classy. The waiter noticed our theatre tickets on the table and made sure we made it out on-time. He had great recommendations and was attentive without being overbearing. This was one of the best Seattle dining experiences we’ve ever had!
My guest had a scallop small plate for $18. There was one scallop. This was a rip off.
Whenever I come to Seattle from Bellingham, I HAVE to eat at the BROOKLYN....perfect for trips to SAM OR BENAROYA HALL
Per the suggestion of the front desk clerk at our hotel, when I mentioned I wanted something delicious, he suggested The Brooklyn. So glad he did.
Crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had. Oysters paired with vodka were amazing. Service was above the bar (thanks Rachel). All in all the best meal we had in Seattle.
This dining experience was a special occasion; however, we dine at The Brooklyn frequently. Always delicious and consistent.
Waiter was good but was gone for long periods.
Wonderful meal, excellent service!
Great ambiance and the wait staff is super attentive and friendly. Old school charm and very comfortable.
Food was prepared to specifications, arrived hot and was delicious. Bar tender is not stingy.
Overall, a great dining experience.
The Brooklyn is an excellent choice whether you're going to Benaroya Hall for the symphony or just out for dinner. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic! Be sure to order fresh oysters too . We love this restaurant!
Everything was great felt a little rushed busy night.
We got the same table 136 and the same server and as always the food, service was spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed the duck, it was exquisitely cooked
Originally had a table reservation, change our minds and sat at the bar. Nice change, great talking to the staff about local food & wine served. We’ll be back.
A long time favorite that has yet to disappoint. Fantastic steak and seafood, oysters melt in your mouth.
Old school ambiance and excellent food. Consistent each time.
The food was exceptional and only matched by the service. The ambiance was sophisticated and inviting. Each time I have visited the Brooklyn, the quality of food and service has been consistently excellent.
Thanks to a great and honest waiter. We understand the mix up on the bill. Our waiter contacted us and returned us the over payment. Wonderful evening with family. Good food and drinks, too.
Made a reservation expecting a nice seating location, was placed in the back corner.
Serving size was very small and taste was not to my liking.
Party sitting next to us was very unhappy with their experience also,
This is our 16th year of dining here before a special concert. The service is outstanding in every way... knowledge of the food preparation and the pacing of the courses. The servers are impressive in that they have been there for years... well treated, we assume. The menu, while somewhat limited in options for each category, really does have something for everyone. It is easily viewed on-line. Overall, it is a wonderful dining experience for lunch or for dinner. Reservations are necessary at busy times (after games and before/after events at Benaroya Hall across the street as well as at lunchtime.) Can't wait to return !!!
The service was too quick and pushy one night, too slow and inattentive the other.
The crabcake was excellent, one of the best anywhere.
The filet was cooked to order (medium rare) and yet was cold and tough.
The wine list leans too heavily on Washington (local) wines.
I think Capital Grille does a better job (ouch.)
We had a great time. Excellent service and drinks. The calamari and oysters were spot on. Almost everything was perfect but one dish underwhelmed and the management graciously took it off the bill. Good staff and great attitude. I’ve been going to the Brooklyn for years but this was the first time I had dinner service and it didn’t disappoint.
The service was poor from the second I walked in. The Steak wasn't that good.
Expensive steakhouse but the $52 filet did come with sides. VERY casual after the game so I wouldn't take a date you were trying to impress.
The only thing that wasn't to great was the duck was way to rare and so were the steaks. We have eaten there before and it wasn't the case.
Great food and drinks great little place would be great if they had valet!
First time at The Brooklyn and had a wonderful time! Service was great, our server was very good and friendly. The food was outstanding (you have to try the Creme Brûlée!), and when I accidentally left my credit card they called me immediately, and held it for me until the next day. Outstanding ambience for a nice intimate dinner. Will definitely be back!
3 of us had lunch, one of us was a chef. All of us loved our meals, they were delicious. Drinks were tasty and service by Evan was outstanding. This is my favorite place to eat in downtown Seattle.
Excellent as always.
