Everything was excellent! I have eaten here on several occasions and always had great service and food!
Great atmosphere and food.
Revecka was a lovely friendly server!
Excellent food and service. Great value for the price.
I took my wife and family here for Mother's Day. I really liked the atmosphere. The service was outstanding. We started with the clams and beer taste. Was a great way to kick off the experience. We followed that with more oysters because they were so good. We then all ordered our meals. We had a variety of steaks and seafood and all were excellent.
The Steak Oscar, and the cream Boulee were fantastic.
This place is definitely old school & pricey. We were visiting Seattle & wanted to try a few of the restaurants listed in the “Top 10”. The review we read talked up their happy hour menu & their website also promoted happy hour so we made reservations accordingly within the time provided but we were not offered said menu. To me, being offered what’s available is quite similar to telling what specials cost, just do it!
Amazing food and service. We went for our Anniversary and it was fantastic. The steaks were tender and the clam chowder is superb. Salmon was also very good. Decent wine list as well. The service was amazing.
I am a visitor to Seattle and first time having steak in Seattle. The steak at Brooklyn just cannot compare to steaks in LA, SF and NY. I ordered a bone in rib eye which was the second most expensive piece of steak on the menu. It was a thin cut. At the price, I expected a thick cut. I did not have a satisfying feeling after the meal like I always do when having steaks in LA and NY.
Ordered rib eye, halibut, scallop for mains, clam chowder, calamari and crab cakes for appetizers. All the food tasted not above average, lacking in flavors for all dishes. Our server seemed rushed and seemed to give attentions to his other tables more than to us, came around mostly because we waved him down for attention and things we needed. My friends & I would not return because the food wasn’t good and especially it’s prices.
We only needed a light dinner after a business event; the Brooklyn came through with their “small plates” menus. Alas the oysters were so good we ordered another half dozen.
We went to the Brooklyn to celibate a friend's birthday. I recommend the Brooklyn because the last time I went our waiter was on point. He volunteered information on the food. He was well versed in the process the meats go through, aging , what type of cut the meat was, very informative. This time, no information was giving. I had to ask, the waitress did not know. I little disappointed. May not visit this place next time
Good but not the same as it good as it once was. Food was not as refined and steak was underdone.
Wonderful, classy place for a special night out. Service was excellent!
It was first time for me to go to this restaurant.
Oysters were very good. Particular I love Kumamoto.
Creamy and Fresh.
And crab cake was very rich.
One bad thing was "wine list is kind of poor."
But the price is reasonable.
I enjoyed "The Brooklyn Seafood, Steak & Oyster House"
The food, drinks, and service were great.
The desert was nothing to brag about. Please revisit the desert menu.
Service was wonderful, attentive but not pushy. Food was delicious. Memorable meal.
Cocktails were perfect, both the chowder and perfectly cooked steaks were delicious, with the latter cooked pink and juices running. The service was unhurried and unfussy, getting to sit in the back has its perks. Our visit there and to Seattle were all the more enjoyable. Thank you!
We had a great meal. Our server was exceptionally attentive and friendly. She answered our questions and made great recommendations for both food and wine choices. We really enjoyed our experience.
The oysters sampler is really good
Great food. Wonderful waiter and perfect ambiance.
Fish was dry and over cooked. Didn’t taste fresh.
This restaurant's food was rated 'Excellent' by Seattle critics so we made a reservation at the Brooklyn hoping for a great seafood dinner. All I can say is it's too bad the food didn't match the service which was very good, from the greeting when we arrived to our server, Ariana, who was friendly and attentive.
I ordered the halibut at $40 and my fiance, the salmon for the same price. She started with a crab salad she said was quite nice while I had some of their breads which, for me, turned out to be the best part of the meal. When the fish entrees came, my lady was fine with her salmon but my halibut was a very small offering - dry and flavorless on a bed of odd-textured and bland mushrooms amid some other veggies. For what they charge per plate, I expected much more from an eatery with its high rating. Having dined at Elliot's, Ivar's and Anthony's Pier 66 in Seattle, I was frankly surprised the Brooklyn didn't resemble the fine food we'd had previously. Sorry, but I found it overpriced, under-portioned and not a great experience. I wouldn't return.
Great service, very friendly people, very good food
We were visiting Seattle from Texas and were looking for a nice seafood dinner. Before ordering, the waitress asked us if we’d like bread...we had no idea it was not complimentary and after saying “sure”, we noticed it was a $5 item. We ordered the bouillabaisse and a wedge salad and my husband ordered an iced tea and I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. The tea came out but I continued to wait for my wine...when I had the opportunity to ask the waitress for my wine she responded “oh, I thought you wanted it with your main courses”. My wedge salad came out and there was no offer of pepper nor was there any pepper or salt on table, so had to ask her when she passed for some pepper. We finished our meal and she walked past us several times without clearing our dirty plates. We asked for the bill, was brought the bill and still they remained. When we were done paying the bill and got up to leave our table was still covered with dirty plates. Very, very disappointing experience all around. For the prices on the menu the whole experience was extremely poor. Will not return and do not recommend.
Our food was good, but less stellar than expected based on recommendations. But the oysters and scallops were better than the filet. The beef was okay for the caliber of quality expected and price they are charging, but definitely just “adequate”. I’ve had better steaks at steakhouses. The service was rough, as in “not refined” for this price/tier of restaurant. It wasn’t bad, though our needs weren’t anticipated and no refills were offered on water and coffee...only on the pricey cocktails. The server was course and abrupt in voice and manner, so it wasn’t good enough service for what we paid. Overall it was a fair experience.
Great food and setting. Would visit again next trip to Seattle
I like this place. They have consistent good service and good food.
I’ve eaten here probably 10-12 times and every time I leave with happy and full stomach and a smile on my face. I’ve always eaten at the chef’s counter because I like the atmosphere and the feeling of the heat coming off the grills. Most of the chefs and hosts are super friendly and Christian is a ton of fun to chat with. I live in Bellingham, but whenever I make the trip to Seattle one of the highlights is eating dinner at the Brooklyn. The only decent steak house here is at the Silver Reef Casino and it really is no comparison whatsoever. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate the food, the atmosphere and the good people that work at the Brooklyn. Cheers..!
Feels a little dated but the food was pretty good and the service very nice
Food was amazing halibut, crab cake, oysters, the bread app is to die for. Butter, olive oil and olive tapenade with a few types of bread. My husband said it was the best crab cake he has ever had. Christian works behind the foodline with the tall back chairs. He is very knowledgeable about the product and very proud of what they put out. Its incredible the fervor he still shows being employeed with this company for 18 years. Hes a gem hold on to him. Thank you for an amazing evening.
Great old fashion elegance dinning Seattle expirence for talking to you partner.
Food met expectations. Would go again
Brutal steak sandwich. Nothing special about the bread and nowhere near enough steak. I thought this was a high-end restaurant??
Total let down.
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here, food was ...if not exceptional certainly very high quality, and although not sure why, a little bit of a positive surprise. Waitress was cheerful and took excellent care of us.
I would order the oysters again. Skip the halibut. It’s like fish and chips, dry.
Steak super raw, came back very cooked and after everyone else was sone eating to I didn’t get to eat. Not good
Our waiter was awesome! The duck was a little too rare. Not even warm in the middle . But every thing else was perfect.
Always a good value in terms of quality of food and service. Very consistent.
Oysters and small plates are fantastic! I highly recommend the crab cake and beef tournedos. Their bread board has an excellent tapenade, olive oil, butter, and freshly sliced loaves.
It was good food. Although we did get stuck in a weird location. Table was to close to us and we were facing another couple that was not happy with there meal. It made it awkward.
