Este restaurante ofrece mucha calidez y huye de lo recargado: suelo de madera laminada, taburetes altos, ladrillo pintado y cómodas banquetas de cuero. Podrá saborear una pinta en la barra de roble pulido o mantenerse apartado en el Snug, tras una mampara de cristal esmerilado. Podrá escucharse hablar, concentrarse en su crucigrama o echar una siestecita en un rincón. We’ve had Sunday lunch on a few occasions at the Broad Chare however yesterday my husband and I were disappointed with the quantity of vegetables and although we ordered a side portion of mash we left feeling hungry . This hasn’t been the case on previous visits

The staff were amazing at accommodating us and checking everything was good throughout the meal. Really nice day and food was good.

I love this pub for its beer food and service but it was very noisy last night. Also I don't know if they are new chairs but they are extremely hard and uncomfortable! I'll request one of the padded areas next time.

Having dined numerous times at the Broad Chare the food and service is nothing short of exceptional. My wife and I were going to a show in Newcastle and had booked as early as possible. I emailed the Broad Chare to explain our situation and they couldn’t be more accommodating. Our table was ready and we were served promptly. We both had the burger. I asked how it was cooked as we are not keen on burgers pink. They said that it was lightly pink but would cook through as requested. I came and it was. Perfect service. Couldn’t be better. Two well fed happy customers who hope to return soon!

Very welcoming staff who were very attentive good food, served nice and hot Food atmosphere- it was a busy Saturday night but we got taken to our table swiftly and served courses with good timings Price would be the only negative - slightly in the expensive side for type of food

Charming gastro pub close to quayside in Newcastle. Interesting menu with clever food pairings, many showing the influence of North country traditional cooking. Food preparation was excellent.Drink choice has emphasis on beer and ale and appeared to have a broad eclectic choice. Given that it makes no bones that is a pub I took no objection to the ale preference, even though I’m a wine drinker myself. In any event the wine list was interesting in its own right. In summary an absolutely first rate gastro pub, my preferred dining place in Newcastle.

Disappointed. Had good reviews so arrived with high expectations. Staff friendly. V noisy. Food very underwhelming.,Bland, overcooked chips. Skin left in the bartered fish. Overall food was bland. The manager kindly took some money off the bill and was feeding back comments at their end of service round up.

The t bone steak sharer was what we had between two of us. It came with chips, onion rings and blue cheese salad. The steak, onion rings, and blue cheese salad were cooked to perfection, but the chips were frozen, which badly let the meal down, unfortunately. We had the lemon sponge cake and the strawberry and rhubarb mirangue for dessert, which at 9 pound each weren't very good value for money. On the whole, the evening was good, but I think with it being £120 all in for two us that there are restaurants that are better value for money, so we will not be returning in the future.
