The Brickhouse - Bend Ratings and Reviews
The service was fantastic and the food was unbelievable! I had a filet mignon and OMG best steak I have ever had! It was so tender and full of flavor, just melted in your mouth. The cocktails are fantastic and no matter what you get it just pairs splendidly with whatever your eating, my boyfriend and I went there for a date. I had a winter citrus cocktail with dinner and wow wow wow! Id go again, it is a little pricey for 2 people it was over $100. But that's 2 entrees, a cocktail, and dessert (which by the way is fabulous, I recommend the crème brulee). Cheers!!!!
We have dined at Brickhouse many times. It’s our go to dinner place in downtown Bend. Food is always great, this time we enjoyed the Chiopinno. Wine selection is great as well. We like to request a table by the window, but that’s just us. Our server wasn’t as knowledgeable as we normally experienced at Brickhouse so that’s the only negative from this evening out.
Bend location was closed due to a power outage in downtown Bend. We were called and substitute reservations were secured in Redmond. Dinner was wonderful, server, manager and bar manager were beyond accommodating and more than friendly. It made our anniversary one to remember! Didn't want to LEAVE! We now have a NEW Central Oregon favorite restaurant!
Prefect for catching up with my daughter, restaurant was busy but not packed.
Great seasonal cocktails and service at the bar.
Dinner was all around good. Zucchini tempura was very good, but my Oso Bucco was outstanding all around.
Will be back next time I am in town.
We read the reviews for this restaurant and were so excited about eating here. It was my husband's birthday and we like good food. I ordered the halibut and he ordered the filet Oscar, which is tenderloin with crab in top. My halibut was overly coated in bread crumbs and Italian seasoning. The rice was mushy and flavorless. The only good thing on the plate was the citrus buerre blanc. BUT it didn't go with the Italian seasoning on fish. So bad, I only had a few bites. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly but also bland. The crab was super salty. And believe it or not, the bottom of the baked potato was burnt! It was not just disappointing because we paid over $100 and it was terrible, it was disappointing because we wanted good food! Anyway, the only saving grace was their cheesecake and the servers were incredibly genuine. They probably have to be with food coming out like that!!
This was our first visit to the Brickhouse and it was a marvelous experience. We were seated at a window table and I had a cabernet and my wife had a champagne cocktail(outstanding). We were greeted by Lillian and my wife ordered the osso bucco and I the rack of lamb. THE BEST!!!
Lillian was always around but she wasn't noticed. Tiramisu for dessert as the topper. A great evening.
Made our 60th anniversary a wonderful experience, and was very nice for you giving us the wonderful piece of cheese cake drizzled with salted caramel. Our steaks were perfect and the steamed clams were very well done in a delicious 😋 broth, thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner.
We visited the Brickhouse for a celebratory dinner. We made reservations via Open Table, which was quick and easy. We arrived early but we're accommodated with no problems. The entrees for the evening included bacon wrapped scallops with a caprese salad, fish and chips, and the blackened ribeye steak. Scallops were perfect, the caprese salad was served with green tomatoes which was unusual and they lacked flavor, the fish and chips were very good, nice batter and not greasy, the blackened ribeye was a disappointment to the diner as it lacked the expected blackened flavor and was thick enough that the interior of the steak was bland due to mediocre seasoning. The service was excellent and we will try it again in the future.
My favorite place to eat when I️ am in Bend/Sunriver/Mt. Bachelor. Food is always exceptional. Ambience is unique and quaint. Great location. We were a little rushed for time and they were accommodating.
Staff is always professional and treat us well. This visit, however, we had a trainee who was filling our water glasses and picked my daughter’s glass up incorrectly. He was verbally excoriated by our server in front of everyone which made us feel a little uncomfortable.
A very pleasant evening. We were seated promptly, the server was attentive, the commis was excellent, unobtrusively ensuring that we had everything we needed, and the food was very good. They have regionally sourced prime steaks, we had the New York which was excellent, and done to our taste. The wine list is mostly regional, maybe a smidge on the high side, but hey, Bend is a beer town anyway. A nice spot, we will return next time we're in Bend.
Brickhouse food was salty, overcooked and lacking in fresh taste. Service was average and prices are very high. Presentation of the food was not pleasing either. I was excited to try this restaurant because it uses fresh local organic ingredients. Unfortunately, these great ingredients were poorly cooked and served.
The steaks were very good for two of us, but the other two of us had the special of the night - halibut stuffed with crabmeat. The stuffing was nonexistent on one; both were very dry and overcooked. A $14 glass of wine was awful--a scant 7 oz and probably cost the restaurant $7.99 for the whole bottle. We requested a quiet table, but were informed that there were no quiet tables available that night. We could barely hear each other. Waaaay overpriced for what we got. We've been to the Brickhouse many times but this was our first bad experience. Will never take our friends there again.
