Always a great choice
This restaurant offers a number of entrees but prides themselves on the steak menu. We decided to try other entrees than steak and were a bit disappointed. I had a chicken entrée and my partner had a pork entrée. Both were good but nothing to get to excited about. And the menu is a bit pricey especially if you order a steak which we should have done considering the menu.
Love this restaurant!!!
True steakhouse. My filet was done to perfection, great vegetable and potato. No unnecessary sauces.
The food was great. The staff were super friendly.
We had a family gift card and we finally used it on our son’s 27th birthday. Had a great time and our Server, Glenn, was FANTASTIC! From his awesome personality and smile, to his food and wine choices....made our evening there that much better!! Thank you! We will see you soon!
We did not know the Brickhouse was a combination of a pub and a restaurant with a TV there. We were there for our anniversary and I would’ve liked a little more intimate setting . My steak was good but the crab on top was cold . The prawn cocktail was not fresh and my husband’s chicken piccata sauce was salty. Service was pretty good but not exceptional .
We had two entrees, one a steak, and one of the special of the night, Ahi Tuna.
Both were prepared well. The presentation of the Ahi had a particularly pretty dark red center with a light sear on the outside. But those two elements were the only nice things. the salads were thrown together by an artless bored person, the rice side-dishes were bland, and it looked as though the other veggies were steamed, and served without any other embellishment. Boring, and bland. And for the value, way too expensive. We'd have been happy to pay more for a more interesting meal. And our waiter was neither friendly nor attentive. There are too many good restaurants in Bend for us to go back to this one.
When we first got there there were plenty of open tables, but they made us wait until our exact reservation time to be seated. While we were waiting an angry waiter kicked open the front door, spilling wine on himself and cussing. For the price point of $25-$35 dollars a plate, they do not offer any bread or lavosh/cracker while waiting. Wait time for food was at least 30 minutes. This was a Wednesday night and they were not very busy. Service could have been better. Waitress herself was lovely and did a great job, but the restaurant does give much allowance to offer better experience.
The food was amazing & our server was great. Plus, the other staff were polite and seemed genuinely happy to be there making for an overall great experience. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.
It was a great evening and the salmon was delicious.
Everything was fine except that two out of four of us got lukewarm food.
What a perfect birthday evening. We were a party of 9 and everyone was thrilled with the apps and the entrees. Our server Ali was ever present and saw to it that everybody was well taken care of. Lots of great steak orders with super baked potatoes. No complaints on any of the dishes from rack of lamb to the nightly halibut special. We brought two cakes which they happily served. A great night. A super spot.
Excellent food and service!
Halibut was not fresh.
Well served dinner but were seated in the front back room that was so noisy and loud that we could not hear each other speak.
We have eaten at Brickhouse in the past and had a good experience but this time was terrible. The service was awful. She only told us about the prime rib special and nothing else and she didn’t sell it very well. She had a bad attitude and was not personable. We watched the waiter at the other tables next to us and he was fantastic and we wished we had gotten him. The food wasn’t very good this time either. Seems way overpriced. A large party of 12 was seated next to us and they were extremely loud. Overall, we weren’t impressed and very disappointed. Not sure if we will be back.
We felt a premium grilled rib eye steak should not be loaded with fat and gristle. We couldn’t get the attention of our server as she just kept walking by us. We were a group of 8 so 20% tip was automatically added to our check which she did not earn. She knew she didn’t have to......
We were disappointed and we won’t be returning.
We are retired and live in Eagle Crest...
Our favorite Bend steakhouse. Great service, but the portions have gotten smaller and plates inconsistent. You never quite sure what you'll get. But of course, we keep coming back.
We love this place. Food is always excellent but it’s the staff that really makes the difference!
It was our 44th Anniversary which made it very special. The food was outstanding, cocktails perfect
but the most superb part of the whole experience was our server. Allie, you surpassed all that I expected
from an excellent server such as you. Keep doing that special thing you do and don't loose the smile.
Having the bar in the dining room is not pleasant! When I go out for a nice dinner, I would like to have a quiet evening, not boisterous alcohol infused noise. The noise level has a tendency to ruin an otherwise pleasant dinner. What happened to 'Classy' places?
Had filet mignon, ordered medium rare, was well done. Fries were soggy and greasy. We ordered decaf coffee after dinner and it must have been on the burner all day...strong burnt taste, could not drink. In fairness the other three in our party loved the Chioppino dish. I also had cup of clam chowder...was delicious but thick like bowl of oatmeal, very little liquid...strange presentation.
Service was excellent.
Very noisy, hard to carry on conversation in booth.
Loved it!! Our 14th anniversary and we were blown away. Our server Michael killed it, made for a memorable night. We will be back!
Our server was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. He frequently asked if we needed anything else but not to the point of being a nuisance.
Awesome meal; all four of us had great food and experienced terrific service.
Brickhouse was outstanding in every way. Staff was really attentive and the meal was superb. Also really wide ranging wine selection!
Beautiful. Wine list was superb. Dinner and dessert was amazing.
Good was outstanding !
Food was amazing but the service was over the top!
The entire experience was awesome as usual!
There were six of us gals. The service was great. The food was also great. I think we all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Best meal I have had in a long time!! Steak, seafood pasta and dessert were amazing
One of the top three restaurants in Bend, yet the quietest of all. The staff makes you feel at home each time you walk thru the door.
The service was amazing, from the front desk staff to our attentive server. I ordered the seafood sampler; it was the best meal I have had in Bend, and we’ve been here 13 years! The lobster was done perfectly, and the scallops were delectable! I’ve been thinking about our meal ever since! The Brickhouse is our new special date night. :)
Se gad a great waiter! The food was excellent and large portions! We had a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely evening out with my son - dinner was delicious and the staff were so generous with us. Service was great ...
The Brickhouse is an exceptional restaurant. The menu is varied and the food is delicious. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They alway help make the evening special.
Steaks, scallops and lamb dinners were all delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was delightful.
Plain and simply a GREAT MEAL. We took another couple from Monterey to the Brickhouse. Chose here because of the better than average (in Bend) selection of seafood entrees. Half of us went seafood and half meat. We were all impressed with our meals. It is a bit pricey, but one will get high quality ingredients and preparation that costs more, but delivers. Try ‘em. You’ll like ‘em.
