Lobster bisque contained no lobster. The Rockfish was decent, but not worth the price for its size. It came with an odd gelatinous potato side dish that was horrible. Dessert was fine. I had a cinnamon sugar pretzel, but it honestly wasn't as good as getting one from Auntie Anne's.

Came for restaurant week, have been wanting to check out their menu for ages! Both my mother and I really enjoyed our meal and after dinner coffee and staff was great. Would definitely recommend and go again!

They served fried chicken and called it chicken Parmesan, though did offer to replace when we were disappointed.

The service and ambiance were great. The drinks were excellent as usual. We did the restaurant week menu the fish was excellent but the rib dish was a little on the sweet side.

Had hoped for a larger menu to choose from and ended up with a burger that was too charred and Fries had a wee bit too much garlic. Hubs had chicken sandwich that was just ok. For my gluten free friends the cider selection was minimal. The ambience was wonderful and our server was great but food was very disappointing. We had been there for drinks a few years ago when we were in town and had hoped for a great dining experience. I’d just suggest this place for a quick cocktail simply because of the decor.

Loved the interior. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was nothing spectacular. Perfect location after the symphony.

Hostess had a major attitude, food, for the limited menu you would think that they would do it well. Not the case!

We visited early on Sunday evening so the restaurant was very quiet. On busy nights it can get noisier. As usual, food and cocktails were great.

One of our favorite places in the city! Great food and beer (they brew this own), good staff, and just a fun place to go. Last time I went I was disappointed in my food because it was (very) overcooked - I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came back between medium-well and well-done, but my fiancee's came back perfect (also ordered medium rare). I've always enjoyed the food in the past, so despite this I'll definitely be back.

Disappointed to see that Brewers Art has dropped it restaurant stance to become a bar with food. Missed their full menu in the restaurant, which now offers the bar’s pub food selection. Still, good beer and good burgers, but not what I was expecting.

The usually reliable Brewer's Art let us down Friday night. Young server was polite and earnest, but seemed so new to the business had didn't grasp the fundamentals yet. Cocktail was weak and insipid. The kitchen would not substitute polenta (server pronounced it "polento") for pasta at the request of my wife, who must avoid gluten because "polento" was only for the nightly special and they didn't have any extra. (Short on polenta? That's like being short on rice or bread. Please.) Entrees were pedestrian. Dessert was unbearably sweet and rich.

The menu seems to have been revamped and dumbed down, turning what had been a creative restaurant into a glorified burger joint. The place was packed, so that may have been a good business decision, but they may have lost our symphony night business. Too bad.

Burger and Salad with steak were fine. Special of airline chicken with polenta, green beans and rapini took up exactly half the plate, divided down the middle. The 4 green beans were uncooked. The polenta was just enough to moisten the bites of chicken, no more. It wasn't that the dish lacked flavor, it just seemed very poorly plated and poorly done, as if they were running out of ingredients but still wanted to put out an another serving or two. Perhaps better to just be 'out' of it or substitute sides that the kitchen had enough of.

The setting is beautiful. We admired the gorgeous highly polished walls. The menu is much simpler and less ambitious...not a bad thing...since we were there last. The food was delicious, if a bit salty. The spiced fig ice cream was to die for, very rich and creamy. It felt like I was eating spiced fig creamy butter. And, of course, my favorite ale, Resurrection, was on tap! No complaints there!

Our favorite Mt Vernon spot before a concert.
Love that Resurrection Ale.
Minor complaint is not keeping menu current on Open Table.
Saw Pumpkin Tagliatelle online and was looking forward to it.
Menu was different once on site.

Service started great. As the night got busier our waitress was not as attentive. We asked got the dessert menu and never got it, which we were surprised because she alerted is in advance that if we were going to a show (which we were) things get busy and that kitchen gets slower. I didn't expect the wait staff would be as well.
I had the lamb special. Very tasty, well prepared. The rapini served with it was average.

Too noisy! Way to expensive for quality of our culinary experience at Brewers Art. Mussels undercooked and raw...on the ones you could even get open...I left disappointed and unsatisfied with the whole experience there.

We always enjoy our dining experience at Brewer's Art. The atmosphere is fantastic, we love their beer (resurrection - highly recommend). Their steak and frits are to die for. Our only complaint is that we don't get there as often as we would like!

The food was great and I felt like it was worth what we paid. My husband enjoyed the beer. The service was very good. The ambiance was great, but it was very loud so I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted to have a conversation with your dinner partner. I was very happy though and we'll be back in the future.

We had an excellent server for our dinner at Brewer's Art. She welcomed us for our first time to the location, We purchased a Flight of Beers and enjoyed them all. The Restaurant was lined with dark wood and books. When we asked our Server the history of the building she immediately handed us a paper outlining the history of the beautiful building. My husband is a history buff, so this added touch was extraordinary.

Way too noisy to hear my companion speak. Very limited menu. Would have appreciated more food choices. Perhaps this is more of a beer place. The hamburger was good. The apple and squash soup was delicious, but luke warm. The veggie burger was fine; the tomato jam made it a cut above normal.

Make reservations. The bar area is noisy. Ask to be in a quiet section if noise bothers you.

The Caesar Salad with white Anchovy was prepared to order, the light dressing made it remarkable.

Mussels were very good and worth a repeat.

Our service was very, very good.

A limited but diverse menu.

We enjoyed everything. Two things to remember, write down the address. ( they dont really have a sign you can see from the street- you may walk right by it. ) and make a reservation. If you dont have a reservation , you may not be seated in the dining area. The food, beer and service were great.

Awesome ambiance and decor. Very low-key vibe. Our server Ken was the bomb. Also, the bar downstairs is even cooler. Makes you feel like you’re in Harry Potter or something.

Had to send my appetizer back which was a pretzel because it was so burnt it that it was obvious upon arrival at table. Not impressed with Sangria option and switch to a mule which was good. The waiter was amazing and entree was good but dessert was nasty (Lemon bar).
