Solid food and good crowd, good service and always an interesting menu keep us coming back and sharing the delightful meals with friends. Coming to the Brentwood feels like we are going over to a friends house for dinner where it's warm and cozy!
Great food. Excellent service. Would definitely go back again.
Nice ambiance. low lighting. clubby. However, extremely pricey for the level of food served compared to other high-end restaurants in the area.
Love this place because it's so warm and friendly. Service superb as is the food. This time we just did first courses. The calamari is the best I've EVER had.
Will definitely be coming back.
First time at Brentwood and they only have dinners! Nice menu with plenty of options for people who like game, fish, steak, pork, pasta etc. Service is friendly and cordial. All our meals and salads and desserts were good. NO complaints or even suggestions. I would have preferred that all our meals were served at the same time, but we all waiting and eventually it worked out.
Nice to have a meal with 5 people and actually have a conversation and hear each other. Small(ish) place with maybe 15 tables. PLUS: VALET parking although not necessary unless you're wheelchair bound as there's a self off street parking lot across the street.
Went there on date night with my husband. Got seated right away. We had a "gilt city" deal. Was able to order anything on the menu except the steak, which was fine. Thought the food was outstanding. I had the king salmon, and my husband had the branzino. To start we had the smoked salmon and the salad with shrimp, and for desert we had chocolate bread pudding. The food was great. It was a very busy night so the service was a little slow, but not bad at all. Overall a great dining experience and we would recommend for sure.
Priced quite high. Especially skimpy on side dishes.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Horrible service.
Nice neighborhood place. Food was good, but a little pricey.
Always enjoy this restaurant. Well run, wonderful and fantastic service.
They only had one chicken pot pie left at 8:00. So I let my son have it. Haven't been there
in a while, and the pot pie has changed. They added more vegetables, less chicken, different
sauce and the biscuit on top is one large piece. I liked it so much better before, I was glad I
let my son have it. Wish it was as before. The fish and chips were great! Also the fillet tacos
Great first date location. We had an intimate booth in a corner setting. Service was very good as was the ambiance and food.
What a wonderful restaurant.I has it all-ambiance,delicious food ,friendly super efficient servers(love Heather!).
This used to be a neighborhood staple, but we had poor service, sat next to a very noisy bar and had so-so food. Everything we ordered (Dover Sole and Fish and Chips) came out cold. The burrata salad was amazing and the burgers looked good. Go for the bar food.
Always good. Great place to meet
The food was amazing! I had the bone-in rib eye & it is one of the best in town!
This is Brentwood's best kept secret. I love this place. Whether it's having dinner with a client, birthday, or low key dinner...this place is my go to spot. I don't want to say anymore so it stay the lovely neighborhood spot that is...if you don't know about this place, it's probably for good reason.
Four star service across the board whether you're there for dinner or drinks.
Steak was bad and hard to eat, salad was just okay (nothing special about it). Service was the only good part for the evening!
The service and ambiance was great. Food was much to expensive for what it was.
It was a while since we had been to this restaurant but it looks wonderful now. The food was great and the service was well handled (they gave us plenty of time).
The variety of vegetables on the vegetable plate was great.
Only if it had more olive oil, that would have been better.
We love the Brentwood Restaurant. Especially for late night meal at the bar and Sunday early dinner when it quieter.
I had to return my Ceaser Salad because it was warm, had way too much dressing and tasted like spoiled anchovies. The waitress was rude, rolled her eyes and wasn't accommodating. Portions are very small for the price. I recommend only hanging out at the bar for happy hour.
Just moved to Brentwood with my small family and wanted to check out my local restaurants and this one always scores pretty high. My husband and I went there on a Sunday night, not very busy but enough tables occupied to feel a bit of energy in the dark and romantic styled restaurant. For starters, My husband ordered the house salad and it was as boring as can be and very small. I ordered warm artichokes covered in cheese which tasted alright but the presentation was very uninteresting to say the least. Something I could have made at home with zero effort. I ordered the Duck tacos, which I had high hopes for as I'm quite a fan of duck. However the spicy green sauce that was served with it was so over powering, you couldn't taste anything else. My husband had specially requested an entree sized steak tartar, which was just an appetizer size and the waiver was more than happy to make it bigger. It was pretty good my husband said but he thought for the price ($30) for a 4oz steak tartare was a bit expensive. We didn't have dessert but opted for a Grand Marnier, which wasn't on the menu but they said they had it. It was served warmed (just like I had requested) and it helped make our overall dining experience a bit better. We did like the ambience but just thought the prices were not equal to the quality of the dishes.
Thank you to Jolie and Tim who made an outstanding restaurant amazing! You are awesome, congratulations Brentwood Restaurant and Lounge!
What a fabulous restaurant. It has a New York vibe to it. The staff is exceptional. The waiters ate very attentive and knowledgeable. They have somethting for everyone amd are very accomadating. I love it here. It's a perfect spot to go on a date or dine with friends. The food is superb.
The food is wonderful, the service attentive but not intrusive, the restaurant beautiful and the noise level is low. You can actually hear the person across the table talk! I would go here every week if I lived on the Westside.
We had been thinking about going for a long time and are glad we finally did. Service was great, as was the good. Casual atmosphere and a menu that ranged from burgers, salads and pastas to some very high quality and expensive steaks. That makes the Brentwood Restauant and Lounge a good place for any type of outing - drop in for Dinner or special occasion. Will be going back soon.
Enjoyed another great meal at The Brentwood Restaurant and Lounge. One of our favorites!
A little pricey for the quality of service and food! Noise level can become a bit much and the setting is dark. Overall a decent place and would be a good backup plan but not my first choice.
So late on this review but kickstarted my honeymoon here before taking off for bora bora and s truly outstanding meal. Great service, delicious food and fantastic spot!!
My date had the chicken pot pie which may not sound like fine dining but it was awesome. I had the salmon and was very happy. Will return.
I took my sister to the Brentwood Restaurant for her birthday. I drive by the restaurant almost every day on my way home, but have never stopped in. I am so glad I did though. The food was wonderful and Steve (our server) was very attentive. I would definitely recommend the Brentwood Restaurant.
We love this place. It's our go to restaurant for so many reasons: (1) the food is consistent (2) seasonal specials are fresh additions (3) lighting is soft and inviting when you want to cuddle in the corner the booth with your sweetie (4) music is fun and eclectic (5) bar is friendly and drinks are clear (6) service is friendly, too.
Made reservations here on Valentine's Day. There was no wait and we were seated right away, and the host was very friendly.
Our waiter Michael was also great! He told us about the specials of the night in great detail (he knew his stuff) and we didn't have to ask for refills or anything. The atmosphere of the place was classy and low key, which I loved made the experience more personal.
My boyfriend and I ordered the flat iron steak and it was AMAZING! The meat was tender and in a yummy sauce complimented with potatoes that were just as delicious. The portion was perfect leaving my full not stuffed. The ladies that night all got free roses which was sweet. I wish we had dessert, looked delicious but couldn't eat another bite.
Great extensive menu and everything was amazing! Something for everyone.
The bone in filet is magnificent.
As is the branzino
This place is awesome
We enjoyed our New Year's Eve dinner there. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They didn't hang over us but we did not have to look for them when we wanted something. Our cocktails were good. The dining room was festively decorated and was cheery. We did not get a booth as we had requested and were placed at a table near the center of the room where we were frequently jostled by passers-by. Generally, the food was good but our steaks were not cooked according to our requests. Since the room was crowded and busy and the steaks were edible we did not send them back. Overall we did like the restaurant and would go back again.
Maybe it was a second team service team for the Holidays, but we have enjoyed this place many times. Everything was truly off. Service was terrible, the calmari appetizer was cold by the time we recieved a lemon wedge and some marinara sauce, which they seemed was a very unusual request! the $50+ rib eye was tough and bland and our waiter was switched during the appetizers. We ended with a cup of luke warm coffee???? Don't really understand what happened but not the norm for this place
