   The best experience for my partners 40th, food was truly excellent and beautifully presented, the wine pairing just topped it off. The whole team were a credit to the restaurant, professional whilst being really personable.

   Not my first visit to The Box Tree which is always excellent, but genuinely feel this was the best all-round experience I've had there. The food was superb from the tasters of chicken liver parfait on crispy chicken skin and the parmesan custard with onion, through the wonderful agnolotti of goat's curd with wild garlic and asparagus to the pork main (beautiful silk sauce) and a fabulous chocolate pre-dessert with amazing textures and contrasts of temperature. The final Tasmanian Mountain Pepper Mille-Feuille with strawberries and macadamia nut ice cram was fabulous. We had the wine pairing with it, expertly explained by the wine waiter, all excellent matches with the food (especially the Kika chenin blanc with dessert!). The service was, as ever, top notch, great attention to detail and my partner and I were completely relaxed throughout the whole experience. Highly recommended.

   We are along term fans of The Box Tree and it has been going through some major changes over the last few years. These are continuing with the new ownership. The food is currently first class. We will all miss the sommelier Didier but the new wine list was ok, we just miss his expertise and character. We were there on Saturday night and the place was not full at all which is a worry. We need this establishment in Ilkley and Yorkshire so I am not sure why people are turning away from fine dining at the moment. We still recommend this place if you value first class service and Michelin Star quality fine dining in a traditional restaurant. Let's hope they dont stray too far from the formula.

   Great lunch time taster menu. Good value for the produce that we ate. Let down slightly by a hair on the plate on the starter course. Attentive and informed staff

   We chose The Box Tree for Easter Sunday lunch and it was a great choice. Absolutely outstanding experience, from being greeted when we arrived to our departure several hours later. Everything we ate was imaginative, delicious and beautifully presented. Portion sizes were also just right so one didn’t feel like a stuffed goose at the end, although the pause between the main course and the dessert was necessary ! Have always heard good things about this restaurant and they’re all true. Worth saving up for.

   Wonderful experience celebrating my mum’s birthday with family. The service was impeccable and the food creative, exemplary and delicious. One of the best restaurants I know and should soon be awarded a Michelin Star

    First came here a long time ago. Pleased to say the quality and creativity of the menu is still superb. Hopefully it won’t be too long before my next visit
