The Bottle Ratings and Reviews
Took the server a while to get to us, the tables were seated so closely to the other ones we could literally hear the other persons conversations, which forced us to whisper for privacy. The food was great though. Will definitely return and will perhaps request a table that’s secluded.
This was our first time to eat at The Bottle. The food was fabulous and our server was very attentive. The only complaint I have is where we were seated. We were wanting a romantic dinner, but were seated towards the back where the kitchen area is and there were servers constantly coming and going. It was quite noisy and hard to create the intimate conversation we were wanting. We’d go again, but request to be seated somewhere else.
The Bottle continues to deliver great service and great food. We are always satisfied with the range of different entre choices and how thoughtful the preparation is. Lamb Chops and Scallops this time were both superb. Crab cake appetizer was really excellent. We look forward to the next visit!
Outstanding, as always! We are regulars at The Bottle, typically as a party of two, but often as part of a party of up to 16, and have never been disappointed. The filet was perfectly prepared and melted in our mouths. The mashed potatoes were perfect, and retained the taste of fresh potatoes; something you don't often find these days. The broccolini was delicious, and the creme brulee was perfect. Service was outstanding. Ambiance was excellent. We'll be back!
My girlfriend needed water and the waiter did not return for 20 minutes. I finally got the attention of the man with water and he said he would be right back with it. He never returned. Our meal arrived after 35 minutes and the $39. steak I ordered was barely warm and undercooked so I sent it back. It was returned better cooked and hot. The waiter said he would be back to check on us in a few minutes. The waiter disappeared and did not return to refill our drinks or to check on us until we were finished. Overall the restaurant is nice and the food, once it was cooked properly and arrived, was very good. The wait staff was not friendly and service was very poor. I would not recommend it and don't plan on returning.
We went to The Bottle for the one-year anniversary of our engagement. Dinner was perfect, and our waiter, Mark, was very attentive without being intrusive. My husband and I were able to enjoy our meal and have uninterrupted conversation. It couldn't have been more perfect. The chefs and bartender are superb. I don't know their names, but whoever they are, I hope you're paying them very well. We will be back!
The food, Scallops, was outstanding and the service was very good. Unfortunately, the seating was crappy. We had a table next to the kitchen and the entire meal was overshadowed by the constant flow of wait staff by our table, the activity in the wine cellar and the noise from the kitchen. The seating pretty much ruined what would have been a nice night.
We decided to try the Bottle for our Anniversary and were a little disappointed. Everything we ate was very salty. The filet was fantastic, but the glaze on top of it was loaded with salt. The dessert menu looked great, we chose the chocolate peanut butter dome with caramel sauce, which sounds amazing. The caramel sauce is supposed to melt the chocolate to open the dome and soften everything inside, but what happened was everything got hard and chewy instead. We didn't eat it because it just got stuck in your teeth. For the money paid and it being a special occasion, my wife was sad.
All our food was cold. Two (party of four) chose to just eat what they got. One sent back the whole plate. I opted to eat my steak, as I'm not that picky about steak's temperature and was hungry. I did send back my sides. They came back cold again - so I just didn't eat them or ask for more, just asked for the manager. We had to ask for bread after the entrees came. It still took awhile to get and when it was finally brought, there was no butter. (or oil and vinegar). The table across from us got bread before their entrees. We also had to ask for salt and pepper. And One of our drink orders was forgotten. All in all, a very forgetable experience. We get (much) better service at Applebee's.
On the plus side, the appetizers (Spicy Bottle Rocket Shrimp and Crab Cakes) were quite good.
All in all, most of the issues were likely due to the server. We were there with our daughter and son-in-law. They had been before and had no problems. We will ask for a different server, if we go back.
They finally comped a round of drinks and half of our entrees. But it took a long time to get a manager and an even longer time for her to return. It was such a different experience from Ruth's Chris.
Food was great, service was great. Restaurant was basically empty but sat us squished in a corner where I had to move the table to sit, the table was very wobbly so moved us to another one, ended up sitting directly in front of the door which had a constant freezing draft everytime someone opened the curtain. Would have been nice to not spend my anniversary freezing but the food, wine, and service was very good.
As a group of five friends gathering to reconnect and catch up, we were pleased with the noise level so we could chat. When we informed our server that we weren’t in a hurry, she was very accommodating. The additional servers were attentive without being intrusive. The chef stopped by a couple of times to say hello and ask how our meals were. He also surprised us with a complimentary appetizer for the table between courses. We had tomato bisque, wilted slaw salads, grouper, scallops and venison and no one was disappointed. The Table shared the apple tart dessert topped with ice cream and we all agreed it was delicious. We were very pleased d will definitely return.
Nice cozy restaurant in the heart of downtown HSV. The ambiance is elegant with fast service. The food was okay. We expected a little more flavor (filet minon and salmon), but the presentation was great. The server forget to bring my Mule and we wish a bread was served with dinner. The bread pudding dessert was amazing!
I love The Bottle BUT was very disappointed that I requested a special dessert as a surprise for my husband TWICE before I got there for our 26 year wedding anniversary and nothing happened. When I spoke to the manager/chef he was very uninterested in what I had to say and seemed dismissive. The two of us spent $160 that night on our bill. Not exactly chump change. Unfortunately I will not eat here again. It was my favorite place but not anymore.
Started with a meat and cheese platter. Generous portion of really delicious meats and cheeses. Only two cheeses both were excellent. I would highly recommend it
Wife had grouper. Outstanding! If you like fish get this perfectly prepared
Rack of lamb was excellent. Try it with the polenta instead of the vegetables
Will definitely be back
Food and service were outstanding as usual. The only down side of our dining experiences here is it can get relatively loud as most people apparently don't care much for sharing their conversations with the tables around them. This takes away from truly enjoying a romantic dinner.
