The Bombay Club Martini Bar & Restaurant
The bar is well known for the best martini selection in town - single malt scotches, ports, and reserved bourbons.
Aside from our vast list of specialty crafted martinis, The Bombay Club features a sophisticated menu that uses only the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
A nice bar and good restaurant set away from from the wildlife of Bourbon Street. Good food, lovely cocktails and good live music too. If you want to be able to have a conversation with your friend/family/date - this place works.
Awesome live music!
My husband and I went to hear Cassie Krebs play bass and sing jazz. She was superb! We met up with friends and decided to have drinks then dinner. The service was friendly and fast. The beverage menu was extensive... cocktails, wine, spirits and beer. We all got what we wanted and enjoyed it. They make a good French 75. Dinners were delish, bar food. Good fries. Decent burger. Well prepared fish and short ribs. Friends had a beet salad and loved it. We were close enough to Cassie that the noise level didn't interfere with hearing her. The woman belts a song with a full, rich voice. But, it was too noisy to talk. Fortunately, we were in for listening anyway.
Very cozy and romantic. Highly recommend the escargot.
I made a reservation at the very last seating time which was 9:45 on a Tuesday. Got there 5 minutes late and as soon as I walked in the barman told me it was last call. I said I had a reservation for 4. So Robin jumps in and just tells me to pick whatever table I want. I said I was sorry for being late and that if they had to close I’d just go somewhere else. He said we should accommodate ourselves and the server would be with us shortly. Long story short we had a great dinner, the place is awesome and the service is beyond remarkable. Great short ribs and even better Brussels sprouts.
Everything was good but our server wasn’t very attentive, the appetizer and the main course were great but there was an issue with the dessert it was a brownie that was supposed to come with ice cream and it didn’t I asked the manager about it he was very helpful and corrected the oversight immediately I was impressed with him he’s always good to me when I come. I think it was just a case of a great meal with a server who seemed distracted somewhat. Still happy with the place and will come again.
The small plate large plate format just doesn't work for me. The choice of entrees is limited and what was served, not well done. The fish and chips looked old and greasy. The roasted beet salad was very good but the rest of the plates were not very good. Bring back the previous version of the Bombay Club.
Went to listen to Jazz Clarinetist Extraordinaire Tim Laughlin Sunday night and had a lite dinner meal while we were there. No doubt, this is one hidden escape located a half a block off of crazy Bourbon Street. Anyway the food and drink never disappoint at The Bombay Club, but we go for the music on selected nights. Park at the Royal Sonesta and get your ticket validated for a great price. It's a short walk to the club. Grab a table, order a round of crafted cocktails and choose something off the menu, then just sit back and enjoy the surroundings.
The waiter who looked after us was very attentive. We took his recommendations on the food selection and they were all good.
Great drinks, food, server and ambiance. A bit of a longer than expected wait for our dinner entrees.
Also, GREAT music!
My daughter and I had reservations for 7:30 for dinner but went a little early to have a drink and appetizer at the bar during happy hour. Drinks and appetizer were great! Bartenders personable and they gave our drink on them because our appetizer was late coming out. We had a nice corner table in the back room was lovely and so was our waitress. Added bonus was the jazz band playing that night!
It was absolutely the best bar and restaurant we have gone to in NOLA. The ambiance and professional staff made my experience here at Bombay worthy to definitely come back agsin. Drinks are excellent, especially the Royal Raspberry. Must try once. The food on the other hand, I was not impressed.
Excellent jazz locale in NOLA for that elegant, understated music of nightclubs of the '40-'50s. reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald or Miles Davis.
We got seated and never got a waiter got up and walked out and nobody seemed to even care. Worst experience I have ever had I N.O. And I have been going there for year. Very disappointing!!!!!
Great atmosphere and the service was amazing. Very accommodating and professional.
Excellent! Made a reservation for dinner , but arrived a little early. They had happy hour going on so we decided to sit at the bar for one drink. The bartenders were so pleasant & friendly we decided to just stay st the bar for dinner. I ordered the fried chicken! Excellent. The flavors go all the way through the chicken! Food & service were both excellent. We will be back soon!!
Please bring back the pork chops! Those were always my favorite too!!!
Would definitely be back for the live music + drinks!
We love coming here and are never disappointed. Friendly, delicious and priced right.
By far the best experience and cocktails we had in NOLA. We loved the service and care given to our party. Would 100% recommend for a fun night without the noise!
Restaurant was empty on a Saturday night which was unexpected. Yet, service had to be asked for, twice. Bill was incorrect. Food was good. Leaving the restaurant was not a good experience. Broken/missing sidewalks which for a woman in heels was a nightmare, had to maneuver through puke on the sidewalk that was walkable, trash and bad smells everywhere, low class people everywhere, etc.. It reminded me of Times Sq. in the 80's. Unpleasant.
Fantastic restaurant. We went for a bachelorette dinner and everything was delicious. Trust your waiter and get the Cheeseburger and fried brussel sprouts.
The food would only appear edible to a tourist. For a local it was between poor and bad.
Waiter needs to recognize his audience a bit better.
Was there for a business meeting and he tried to put us in a romantic booth.
Also his cocktail recommendation was better suited for my wife
Great hidden gem great night again!
Excellent meal and great music. Will definitely be returning!
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – We had our own private table. The waiter was great as was the food. After dinner we sat in the small lounge area by the band. All in all it was a wonderful evening.
The menu was small, however the food was amazing!
We have been to the Bombay every time we are in News Orleans. (9x so far) Each time has been great. Food, music and the whole vibe. But, this time.....we came away thinking: ehh. They must have changed management. It was all slightly off...not terrible, but not great.....this time, it was just ‘ok’.
Next time....? I don’t want to be turned off by one mediocre visit.
Service was horrible! Charged for additional bread (really!) have only 2 small pieces and paid for 4! Music however was excellent!
My wife and I were in New Orleans for our 15th wedding anniversary and we ended up at the Bombay Club twice. The drinks, service, and food were spectacular compared to some of the other so called fine dining restaurants. I consider myself to be a food critic with culinary education and Bombay Club exceeds my expectations. The part I loved the most was the table for two tucked away in its own little nook. Semi-private dining was exactly the thing we were looking for. Bombay Club is sleek and sexy from every aspect.
This was my first time ever being at Bombay and I was blown away! The atmosphere when you first walk in is a grown and sexy vibes. Waitress was amazing as well, staff kept coming around asking if we needed anything. Even my date was impressed! Definitely will be coming back. Oh! The food! AMAZING! Definitely worth the price.
We finished our trip to New Orleans with dinner at the Bombay Club and I wish we had found it sooner. The ambiance, food, service and drinks are exceptional. The entertainment couldn't have been better. We will definitely make the Bombay Club a "must" location anytime we are in town.
Live music, good food, great service! Low lighting, perfect!
Everything was great. Short ribs were tender tasty and plentiful. Rice was delicious and the roasted beet salad with walnuts and cranberries is absolutely delicious. Very filling meal.
Great cocktails, food, service and...amazing Jazz musicians 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for your review. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit us at the Bombay Club. We hope to see you again. Chris Horner, General Manager.
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. They treated us great.
Great live music. Cocktails were the best I had in New Orleans. Jeremy was a great bartender.
We had a great time ! Love the atmosphere. Good waitress . Great Jazz band . Not to loud you could still talk and hear each other . Would definitely go back.
The cocktails are really fun. Try them all. There were 4 of us and we all had different meals---the special, filet mignon, the gulf fish, the short ribs and a pasta. We all tasted all of them and every single one was delicious. Lovely place!
Definitely recommend, the service was excellent and the food was great also.
