The Boheme - Grand Bohemian Hotel - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
Initially scheduled to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We ended up getting engaged on Valentine’s Day, so used this dinner to celebrate. We told our server who brought us a great glass of champagne to toast!
Server had great recommendations of how to have items prepared, and really impressed us.
There was an event across the street which made for a busy evening, but we felt well taken care of and really enjoyed the night.
Loved the ambiance, service, and food.
Half our food was overcooked so I had to share my meal with my husband which we finished before his revised meal came out. We expected a food comp but we didn't get it. Our amazing waiter comped us a glass of wine. Under impressed for the $100 pp price tag..though if you want exceptional service go here. Food was ok but not delivered to expectations
We enjoyed dinner for Valentine’s weekend after seeing a Jazz concert. Our reservation was at 9:45pm and they close at 10, so we assume that was why our calamari was cold. The entrees were excellent. We were concerned though as to why the ribeye didn’t come with sides. You have to purchase sides a la carte. Super pricey, but the food and ambiance are great.
We went there for our 10th anniversary. The decor was lovely, there was a live pianist, the waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was incredible. We went for Valentine's Day, so there was a limited menu, but even within that, all the choices looked delectable. Highly recommended for a romantic evening out.
We absolutely loved this place! The cocktails were outstanding (lychee martini) and the sea bass was fantastic! We are fairly picky when it comes to food choices (gluten-free) but they were very accommodating. The service was excellent and the live piano music made for a great, relaxed atmosphere. It's right across the street from the performing arts theater which made getting to our show really easy and quick. I cannot say enough good things. We had a great night!
The food options were not great for someone who doesn't eat shellfish or meat. I asked if there was any cooked fish available and I was told "no". The server didn't offer to have something made special, although later he said that he didn't know how important it was to me, so that next time I should make a request right away or in my reservation. When we were paying I asked if there was any accommodation for the "vegetarian" meal that I had. The manager said "no". I know I definitely didn't eat my money's worth ($49).
My husband, who eats everything, went for the meat and shell fish, but the only hot meat option was a roast beef carving station. Beef, while very tasty, was mostly over-cooked (I asked for something approaching rare and was told another roast would be out shortly--it was, but NOT even medium rare). The charcouterie assortment was decent, and some nice cheeses were available.
For a "classy restaurant", peel your own shrimp and crack your crab legs doesn't seem very appropriate--quite messy eating! Cocktail sauce for shrimp/crab was weak, and no hot sauce was offered. No rolls or decent bread offered, which is highly unusual for a brunch buffet.
Included Mimosa cocktails were very good and replenished often. Overall service was "good", but not "great"! Bussing of tables was poor, which is NOT acceptable for a high-end buffet!
We came for our anniversary and other than wishing us a happy anniversary, there was no other recognition. Most restaurants bring something special for "an occasion."
When we went to get our car. we were told that it was $8. for valet. Considering how much we paid for the brunch, we think it's outrageous to have to pay for valet parking AT ALL. At all the attraction-area hotels, if you have your parking ticket validated at the restaurant where you eat, there is no charge for parking.
It's unlikely that we'll come back for the jazz brunch, although maybe we'll come for dinner or drinks.
We were not able to sit in the dining room even with reservation. It was a very busy evening!!!
We were seated right away but it was in the Rotunda--it was noisy and many people were "coming and going" during our entire meal.
The service and food were very good. So we would definitely eat there in the future and hope to have a table in the dining room.
Book the hotel for an overnight stay as we were attending a jazz concert at the Dr. Phillips Center (for my wife's birthday), the hotel restaurant was a natural choice. Initially had a reservation that would have made dinner a rushed affair I was able to work with Ashley to move us into the rotunda at an earlier time, she has a great professional attitude in demonstrates true customer service. The dinner selection was very good with my wife having the Salmon and I selected the lamb T-bone. Both were prepared to perfection with no issues at all. Justin, our waitperson, ensured that we were well taken care of and that were no issues, again a great example of professional customer service.
This place was absolutely awesome. We flew in from Boston for the Probowl and wanted to check out the hottest restaurant for brunch. This place was on the list of places to check out when in Orlando, and was conveniently close enough to the sports center. You can't beat the price for the brunch buffet. My brother and I really enjoyed the food; the crab cakes, the waffles, the unlimited mimosas, the eggs, omelettes, everything was great. To top it off, we had an excellent host by the name of Renford. He gave us so many positive vibes in his service that we had to take a picture with him. He was on top of everything that we needed without us having to ask, even with a busy environment, and suggested some things for us to try that we ended up liking. We will be back if ever in Orlando again.
My wife and I made reservations for the Boheme RESTARAUNT prior to attending River Dance at the Dr. Phillips Center. We figured based on it's proximity to the Phillips Center it would be perfect. Upon arrival they seated us in what appeared to be a "Lobby" next to the piano, not in the restaurant itself. Traffic was very high as people entering from the street to enter the Bar or the restaurant had to pass by. The bench seat was too low and I had to sit up to even reach the table and I am 6' tall. The service was not bad, however the location was so noisy I had to repeatedly ask the waiter to repeat what he said. We received no bread with our meal despite the to tables on either side receiving bread. (I did not see bread on the menu as an additional item for ordering). My Steak was prepared as requested although is was a bit more fatty than I would have expected for $41, my wife had the catch of the day and she said it was good. Basically, this is only about the 2nd negative review I have ever given in my life but I was disappointed with the overall experience and would not return to the venue. I would not recommend it to any of my friends. If you do feel the need to try it for yourself, and you make reservations for the restaurant, make sure they are going to seat you in the restaurant!
We hated the calamari appetizer the other food was just ok but overpriced for being just ok. . We were trying to get to a show at the Dr. Phillips Center. Our waitress was very slow at serving us and unattentive , and there were only two other tables in the entire restaurant while we were there, so it wasn’t because she was busy. She was back talking to other employees.
40th Birthday Brunch
Almost everything was perfect, food, atmosphere, service (Leo was great), but we made reservations and still had to wait. It wasn’t a long wait, maybe 5 minutes, but I’ve never had to wait at a venue for which I had a reservation for. For that, and that only, I would give it 4.75/5 stars.
Our reservation was before the Brunch start - a limitation of Open Table to indicate this - and it took a while to get coffee and menu orders started.
Food was excellent - fruit very fresh - and meals well prepared. Staff very friendly.
I recommend this Resteraunt - just watch booking time for brunch - check their website first for hours.
I have two friends from out of town stopping in Orlando so we could catch up. Since it was New Years Day there was not many options of places to meet. A friend of mine suggested we meet at the Boheme since she had been there before. It was a very nice setting and a peaceful dinner. Overall it was a great time catching up.
Best dessert NYE 2018 dinner
The ambience of the restaurant is great. I also liked the live jazz/ piano music. The prixe fixe NYE food was not gastronomy! However, the lamb I had was exceptional! So juicy, tender and uniquely lamb-tasting! The best dessert I have had in a long time qas their Baked Alaska. OMG!! So good to the point where we were struggling to finish and leave to catch the fireworks by midnight.
Now the low points.....
Even though we were a little late, our table was not ready. We were seated at a wood table while a posher, cosier marble table with a booth that I had asked for us was EMPTY the whole 2 hours we dined there.
The service was very mediocre. For $125 pp on NYE dinner, you would expect 4 or 5 star service. This was NOT. The server was not friendly or introduce himself, came to our table way after we were seated, up to 5 minutes. Did not explain what was going on with the menu, did not ask us if we were ready to order or explain the choices! Did not offer us bottled water for purchase. Instead brought us tap water right away.
Given that it was NYE DINNER, I would have expected some party favors. But none was offered. No hats, confetti, blowhorns or table decorations of any kind. We were quite disappointed.
We enjoyed the ambience however, with the live music and some parts of the food and that elevated the dining experience despite low to mediocre service.
We had two toddlers (about 1yo and 3 yo) seated for a 9:30om dinner right next to our table on New Year’s Eve. They were as good as they could be under the circumstances. We felt bad for them, but it lessened our experience slightly. The food, ambience, service, and cocktails are consistently wonderful here and Sunday Brunch is delightful!
In a few words...nobody does "Brunch" quite as well as the Grand Bo. Leo our waiter was excellent. This is the second New Years in a row he serves our party. Super attentive but really respectful of our privacy. Wonderful selection of foood and Mimosas are great. ...
