Arrived early so we could have a drink at the bar over looking Lake George. Nice scenery. They had a musician playing at the bar that night too. We were seated inside for dinner. I had one of the Octoberfest dishes, Jaeger Schnitzel which was veal fried,with a mushroom & cheese sauce. It was good and came with red cabbage & a potato pancake. Had beef barley soup that came with it also. Husband had the seafood stuffed sole which came with rice. He said it was very good. I took home the apple strudel that came with my dish because I was too full.

we had ordered the sauerbraten, the meat was too thick, not tender at all. it appeared they took a slice of pot roast and poured the sauce over it. neither of us finished it and we didn't take it home. another couple had the veal dish (their most popular) and a sandwich, both were good.

The food was not good, filet Mignone was over priced and had not flavor. The chicken parm over penne also had no taste to it. We were seated in a corner near a group of ten men being Loud and cursing when they could easily sat us by a window away from them. I’m ok paying $150 for dinner for two if the foods good. I’ll never go here again.

Beautiful location overlooking Lake George, we had a private patio table which enhanced our dining experience. Food was delicious and reasonably priced and because the restaurant is at the bottom of a big hill they have golf car service available to bring you up to the parking lot - very much appreciated!

I had an awful experience at the Boathouse. I understood that this was one of the best places in Lake George. Well that makes me sad for all the wonderful people that live or visit Lake George. The first impression was terrible. You couldn’t even get in the door, past all the people that were wondering why their reservations were not being accommodated. The hostess was unaware of how to help anyone. And didn’t seem to have the urgency to even try. The restaurant was stifling hot. No windows open or air on even though we were on a gorgeous lake in the Adirondack’s. And to top it off the menu was small. The same type of meals I would see on an Applebees menu although way more expensive. A burger for $22. A “lobster roll” for $30 😂 I tried (in my 3 hours at the restaurant) to find some great thing to say, but unfortunately left not able to. So, sadly, I will not be returning.

Location is the Best! Food was delicious, especially the Shrimp & Lobster Fra Diavolo. Service outstanding! Totally recommend!!! Need to park and walk down to get to restaurant as it is literally in the lake, but also have golf cart driver to bring you.

Always has been a favorite place in Lake George. Prices have gotten very high everywhere and its understandable, but $50 for prime rib is crazy. Still a great happy hour and view!

I made reservations for four well in advance. I had asked to be sitted outside with a water view. We could see water, yet we had no view of the beautiful lake. Lunch has a very limited menu & 3 sandwiches, a hamburger, 2 shrimp cocktails, & 5 drinks came to $260 dollars. The drinks were not particularly tasty & the lobster sandwiches were even less tasty. The service was solidly okay without even a hint of friendliness. I do not recommend anything about The Boathouse Restaurant.

Service was exceptional. Food was really good. We had the prime rib special. Cooked perfectly. The chicken schnitzel was really good but my son thought it had too much cheese. We had a vegetarian at the table too who had the Alfredo from the vegetarian menu which was really good. The rolls with dinner were a little stale but overall a really great choice.

Our favorite place for dinner when we visit Lake George! The food and cocktails are delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. It is relaxing to enjoy the panoramic view and watch the steamships and boats go by.

Wonderful restaurant! We loved the steak and lobster roll. We sat below on the dock level and saw a beautiful rainbow appear on the lake as little ducks paddled past and the river boats went by. We even walked out on the little pier next to our table to take a photo of the lake. The service was really great. Our server, Trevor, was amazing. Very family friendly

I have been to The Boathouse many times over the past years and I am sorry to say that I was disappointed regarding the food this time. Menu selection for lunch was limited and pricing was high. Our lunch came with cool stale fries, the roast beef was good but the au jus was extremely salty. On the plus side the waitress was very good and of course you can’t beat the ambience of this place. Because of the lackluster meal and the pricing, I will probably think twice before coming back which is unfortunate as I made this restaurant one of my top “go-to””s” when friends visit.

The Boathouse was great fun. It had the feeling of a Hamptons restaurant. The view is spectacular and the food was great. The service was also exceptional. Christine was our server and she was wonderful. All in all we had a great time.

Over rated food for the price. Filet mignon was fatty and couldn’t eat half of it on two of our plates. You are paying for the location and not the food quality. Bathrooms were very small and smelly.

When you dine often, you expect issues to pop up. We are only human. However, I would not expect a piece of 3 inch plastic wrap to appear in my son's chicken parmigiana dish. And even if that happens (rarely, I hope), you would expect the restaurant to remediate it with utmost care. That didn't happen last night. The response I received from our waitress was unapologetic and to hear her tell us that they don't know how it happened is unacceptable. I don't care how it happened, take ownership, apologize and make every effort to win-back your customer! I was made to feel that it was a favor that the restaurant comped the dish as if I were to pay for it anyway. And sadly the waitress asked us to reorder the appetizer that she forgot to bring out in the first place, unapologetically of course, as it was my fault she forgot to bring it out. Outside of the beautiful view, I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone and unfortunately, as we are only human, it left a terrible impression of Lake George on my family and me.

Running very behind on a 7:15 reservation. Appetizers were good. All but one special was already sold out by the time we sat. New England Clam Chowder was more like potato chowder with a few clams. Entrees were ok. The ambience wasn’t nearly what I expected and the service wasn’t anything special. I’d probably skip this spot next time.

Awesome location on the water, parking is not very good. Limited spots and a downhill trip to restaurant. They have a golf cart to take you up. All in all it’s worth it just for the view.

I made reservations a month ago & when we got there they put us outside. I was with my parents 80 yrs old… way to cold, no heaters & could not accommodate us indoors. Very disappointed.

We enjoyed our meal at the Boathouse. A little pricey, but not crazy, and the portions were HUGE. Our server (Christina) was very sweet and accommodating. The view was great, even on a rainy day. Would go back.
