   The food was great, but the reservation asked if it was a special occasion. To which we answered yes, as it was our 10 year anniversary. Most dining places that know that information, usually congratulate and maybe add in a celebratory dessert on the house. Sadly, no mention of it at all during the night. On-top of that, it was hard to hear our waiter over the noise.

   The reception and service was excellent and very enjoyable. The room very nice super views and very comfortable. I was very surprised by the lack of fresh fish on the menu and living in the Mecca of Pacific Salmon there was non offered at all fresh Or otherwise. Our out of town guests from the east coast were as was I looking forward to some fresh local sockeye or coho but passed when we learned the salmon offered was farmed Atlantic Salmon. The meals we did have were fine but just expected a local fish house restaurant might have local seasonal fresh offerings. Service was very good Thank you

   We changed tables to a table by the window which was beautiful highly recommend. However we did not see the server not even once. We flagged down a different server to take our order and she said she would pass us back to our main server, however she never came. That same server and the hostess brought out our food. Food was cold but that’s okay considering the circumstances. Even getting the bill we still had a random server. She came at the very end to collect the money and the tip. Highly doubt we’ll ever come back again.

   We had the best server and in my opinion the best spot in the house. Right along the windows to watch the sunset. The food is not very good. You are paying for the view

    Such a great location. A pretty broad menu. But why is this restaurant so 'middlin'. It's not good, or bad. It kind of just exists... And it shows. It's empty, and quiet, always. You can't go to wrong, but why bother..

    Great location, really nice, unobtrusive and efficient server. Food was just good - not great. Had ceasar salad that could have been more flavourful and fresher, had poke bowl which was really good, coconut shrimp okay, but like everywhere else. Surprised that no crab cakes were on the menu. Fries should have been hotter and crispier.

    View was spectacular. Our waiter was excellent. However the food was not worth the price and in general the restaurant was not clean and the bathrooms the worst I’ve seen in a restaurant.

    The Ahi Tuna Tacos is four, but small, albeit tasty. The NW Seafood pasta garlic cream sauce was excellent, creamy and tomato-y but didn't overpower the seafood. Can't beat the scenery. Hostess very accommodating in our seating change to avoid the direct sun's heat on the covered balcony.

    The view was great as we had a table by the windows, and we liked the fact that the windows opened to let the breeze in and that the waiter asked if we wanted the blinds lowered!

    We had the best table in the house. Right on the window overlooking the beach. The Tuna Poke Bowl is my usual go to and it did not disappoint. The waiter was friendly, attentive and made our evening seamless. I would highly recommend this location.

    We sat on the north deck where it was quiet and cool on a rare sweltering day in Vancouver. We wanted to order a bottle of wine but there were no bottles listed on the menu. By the bar there is a display case with the bottles available. The salmon was excellent as well as the pasta. The Mango Mojito was huge but with very little alcohol.

    The Boathouse has become my favourite restaurant to dine at The grilled salmon was made to perfection .. sooo... moist and tender. Great place to celebrate my birthday

    I had reserved on line. No table was ready for us. On reservation I was asked if it was an occasion, I asked for the reservation tent card to say 'happy birthday Eamonn'. There was no reserved table, let alone a tent card. It was uncomfortably hot, noisy and scruffy. There were bits of tissue on the floor and many uncleaned tables covered in glasses and after dinner debris. No attempt had been made to keep diners cool. No air con unit (they can be hired) no fans. The washroom was not tidy at all. There was tissue on the floor, it was very used and not clean. The food, however, was incredible and the service was very good. We were asked if we wanted desert, we declined. Immediately after, we recieved our check! We were going to have more drinks. Our server told us we could sit and take our time but it was not a pleasant environment to be in. There was no background music, no ambience. It felt like a canteen. 150 dollars is a lot of money for us. This was a special treat for my husbands birthday but we just ate and left. I was very dissapointed. It didn't feel special at all.

    Our server Mary was exceptional. She was very friendly and knew how to take care of her customers Would ask if she is working when I come back and would like to sit in her section. Would highly recommend The Boathouse for dinner. Such a beautiful setting

    Overpriced fried food! Boiling hot in the restaurant behind the glass even at 8pm. Service was excellent though with very friendly servers but the restaurant has seen better days. Looks old fashioned and dated. The website makes it look fancier than it is. Average food at best.
