The Boat Club Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
It's a Sunday evening during the lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were the only ones in the restaurant but that didn't make a difference in the service and the quality of food. Both were excellent and we'd highly recommend this restaurant. Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and wife's Duck was too. The waitress (and hotel) provided our dessert at no cost since it was our anniversary and it was delicious. We'll go back even when we're not celebrating a special occasion
We are regulars and always enjoy the experience. The frustration is with the process of making the actual reservations. You have to leave your name and phone number and then, after weeks, just before the holiday, someone calls you back. Bad!Never heard of such a process. Secondly, the noise factor when it is full is high, making it hard to hear each other. Still great food!
The restaurant is in the Lodge on Whitefish lake--a truly beautiful and classically designed location. The view of the lake from the restaurant is outstanding. The food was very good and the service was professional and attentive. This is a wonderful place to stay and eat when in the Glacier National Park area.
Our meal at the Boat Club was a disappointment. My husband ordered the 6 oz filet prepared medium and I ordered the wild Alaskan salmon. The filet was very raw in the middle and was returned to the kitchen. They filet was returned to our table and was still raw. I was enjoying the first few bites of my salmon until I discovered that it was raw in the middle. The server offered us a "free" dessert as consolation for our experience. We won't be going back.
We enjoyed a delightful brunch with friends and the eggs benedict and shrimp and grits delicious. We asked for a table with lake views and weren't disappointed. Our servers were friendly. There were two loud groups at tables nearby and this was the only negative.
Beautiful spot with good food. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Just wondering, given that we had reserved 3 weeks in advance why we weren't offered a table outside, and when we did get one outside, it was a little out of the way.... But we still saw the amazing sunset.
Even though it is in a hotel/ resort, the food is fantastic. We are big city food snobs and everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The halibut was firm and extremely flavorful. My husband had the elk which was also delicious. Our had a table that looked out over the water and a gorgeous view of the sunset.
Although we booked a window table to enjoy the view of Whitefish Lake the noise from the table of 12 next to us made it impossible to have conversation. We moved to a private booth which made the experience much better from a conversation point of view but then we were very disappointed in the food. Not sure we would book again.
