Beautiful view, excellent safe service, outstanding food!
Breakfast we are told they had a waitlist and would call us. We waited 20 minutes and are noticing people being seated. We went up there to find out they did away with the waitlist but failed to call anyone on it. Thus by the time we are seated and get our meal, it was over an hour. The meal was beyond horrible. Sausage patty was like a brick. Over medium eggs were pretty much sunnyside up. Brought wheat toast instead of sourdough. Then forgets to bring my sourdough toast. Waitress was flustered.
Had dinner reservations for the same night for outside seating. Upon arrival we were told outside seating is first come first serve. Not a problem, but there were tables outside, so why couldn't they have sat us out there? Dinner experience was better than breakfast, except there was a hair in my garnish, which reminded a second time of why I am not going back.
Excellent service and the food was outstanding. Couldn't ask for a better meal.
Great food and ambiance. Excellent service from Terry and Colin.
Terry and Shawna made our Fourth of July on the lake amazing.
Excellent view, food spectacular, stellar service. Highly recommend.
It was a nice dinner. It’s a bit expensive but the filet Mignon was perfect so well worth it. It’s a casual dining spot right on the lake.
Food was excellent and our server was fantastic. However when we arrived the hostess informed us the dinning room was full and we had to sit in the lounge or on patio even though we had a reservation. We took the table on the patio but when we were seated we were told we could only order off the lounge menu and not the full dinner menu. Our server took care of us and brought us the full dinner menu after we asked why. She asked if we made the reservation on line through open table. I said yes and she replied that was the reason why.
Why offer open times when they can’t be honored?
Overall, after the initial bad start, we enjoyed our time and dinner.
Overall, the service and food were fine. The portions are small and the price is high, but being by the lake and the views are a lot of what I guess I am paying for. I will return to this restaurant, but will do so for the ambiance and not the food. Now desserts are another story...their desserts are very good and well portioned.
Nicholas was our waiter for breakfast on Father's Day. He did a very nice job taking care of us and making sure that our coffee and water stayed refilled. I was hoping that there would be specials for Father's Day but it was just the regular breakfast menu. The only complaint that I have is that the oatmeal does not come with brown sugar, milk or a choice of toast.
Jean was our waitress, she was prompt and attentive. The food was very good, my husband and I had the filet mignon, it was perfect. I would have preferred seating in the lounge since it was happy hour 4-6 and live music started at 6, but we were seated in the dining room. So you may have to put that in your notes for your reservation.
Not the greatest service, coffee refill was cold, no water refills, we ordered take out for our son and we got back to the room there was no silverware. I felt like the staff was inexperienced
Graduation dinner for my daughter...Service was impeccable and food was delicious... Hats off to the entire team!
We were promptly seated at our reserved time. The views from the dining room are spectacular. Our server was knowledgeable regarding my daughter's Vegan diet and made the perfect suggestion for the evening meal. It was a birthday dinner and it was perfect. I highly recommend The Boat Club!
We were led to our table and it took the wait staff 45 minutes to even walk over to us and take our drink order. Mind you because of COVID the place was not especially busy nor were they short staffed.
Once we asked a bust boy to find our waitress, she came over with an attitude and was snarky when I asked for a recommendation of something on the menu since I have never been here. Very disappointed
Went for a quiet anniversary dinner. 3 other tables were filled and the rest of the area was empty. My iced tea took almost 25 min to come out. Appetizers came out at the 1 hour mark. Totally dining experience was over 2 hours with 1 app, 2 salads and 2 entrees. We were given a free dessert to share for our anniversary. We received a total of 2 refills on our drinks the entire meal. Witnessed numerous people come and go while we sat by waiting for someone to stop by our table. Spouse was happy because of the day. We celebrated each other. I will not be going back to this restaurant any time soon.
Great view of the lake. Live entertainment added to the ambiance. Attentive service. All food items for our table we're perfectly prepared, great flavor, and nice presentation. The elk steak came with additional accompaniments on the plate that all tasted great. Ribeye eye steak was also perfectly prepared. Will definitely be back.
I had booked for a birthday dinner and asked for a table facing the lake, we were seated at the Winfield but not facing the lake. No special attempt was made for the celebration , normally a dessert would be offered with a candle etc. The dessert we ordered was dry and not very good. They deducted it from the bill but could have made the experience more enjoyable.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent food & service.
Never been to Montana before, can’t imagine there is a better restaurant in the area.
We got engaged on the slopes and celebrated for dinner at the Lodge. We’re so happy we did!
The entire staff made us feel very special with a champagne toast, incredible elk tenderloin, lovely wine, and decadent huckleberry dessert.
But the best part was the awesome service (thank you, Pat!) and welcoming feel.
The boat club was the perfect place to celebrate our perfect day.
Bday dinner and they were perfect with timing and presentation of bday dessert
Jean was a fantastic server! Wonderful dinner
Highly recommend!! The food was AMAZING and the free bread was a plus! We were sat in the side dining room which I recommend because it was quieter but next time we would go when the sun is still up so we could completely enjoy the view out onto the lake!
Beautiful when the sun is out! Otherwise no lighting outside to highlight or even lowlight the scenery. Food is delicious and well priced. Service though could be a lot more warm and hospitable. Seems like servers in fine dining are preoccupied somewhat, missing their attention to detail and going the extra step of personalizing our experience. The bar side service is much more personable. Not sure why there’s such a disconnect there. Still, we enjoyed ourselves.
Service was poor, food was underwhelming. won’t go back.
Beautiful views, great service and good food! Will return again!
Just know it’s a bit overpriced, but for a nice romantic dinner it was good food and pretty setting 🤷🏻♀️
We were seated at a window table away from others ( especially a large crowded table) so we enjoyed the evening at a space for us. I was worried the window table would be cold but it was not. The waiter was great, knowledgeable and friendly. We received our drinks in a timely fashion and also our soups which were absolutely delicious. The main dish was delicious as well. All in all a lovely evening.
Dinner was delicious. Plenty of drink options but more of a limited dinner menu. I had the rack of lambs with risotto and it was amazing. I did ask the assistant manager if we could do something special at the table because we were celebrating birthdays, but no one did anything. We still however really enjoyed our time there and had a great dinner. My boyfriend ordered a New York strip Oscar style and he was pleasantly surprised. The appetizers were great too.
Wonderful food and friendly, helpful staff.
Our service was amazing. The food was great. I come up to whitefish quite often .. this is one of the better restaurants.
Fantastic as always. We will be back
Great atmosphere, the total experience was well worth it!
It was a very nice evening at the Lodge. Our servers were awesome! We will be back!
Hostess was rude and unaccommodating. Left us waiting at hostess stand for 15 minutes. Sat our party of 4 at a large 5 top and ignored our request for another table. Could not have cared less. Waiter was nice but clearly untrained. Failed to remove extra dinner wear and wine glasses before bringing out food. Failed to clear appetizer plates after first course. Sloppy work but that is managements fault. Not one single manager on site as far as I could tell. No one came by our table to check on the service or the quality of the food. Totally unprofessional. Not worth the price point at all. One final note: my son ordered a side of asparagus and the waiter forgot to bring it out. After we finished our entrees he “remembered” then asked my son if he still wanted it which he did. Waiter had the gall to charge us for it. Should have been comped. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Dining on Christmas Day was very busy. The restaurant was very warm inside -- a bit too warm. It would have been a plus if the hostess had offered to take our coats. The food was good and service was good, considering how busy it was. The atmosphere was cozy. Overall, we'd go back to dine there.
Christmas Dinner. They seemed overwhelmed with the crowd. The place was beautiful to have dinner at for Christmas However we would like to try on a night that isn’t so busy.
Excellent experience in every way possible.
Very small portions, just okay quality, way overpriced. Our server, however, was very good.
