My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary here this week and, from the minute we walked in the door, we were welcomed with anniversary well wishes by almost the entire staff. To celebrate our anniversary, the restaurant also provided us two glasses of complimentary champagne which was a nice touch.
The staff was very friendly and worked well together. We dealt with, not only the waitress, but also the manager, servers, bartender, etc. Each was very friendly and welcoming.
The food was very delicious as well. We started the evening with the foie gras -- which was excellent. For dinner, we each had the bone-in ribeye (some of the best steaks that we've had in quite some time). The prices may seem high, but the steaks are delicious. We also ordered two sharing sides (root vegetables with beef and brussel sprouts with bacon) which were equally delicious.
We could not leave without trying the dessert. We decided on the bananas foster flambe'. It is prepared table-side (by the bartender that evening) and was wonderfully done.
We are already planning our next trip.
Love the Friday Cajun lunch menu. Great standard items on the menu plus always great specials. Only wished I like Gin. $.25 martinis would be a good addition to my meal.
Our meals were excellent although the time from ordering to serving was long. The evening was enjoyable until the bill arrived which included a notable overcharge reportedly due to their system. It was quickly corrected but the experience left me wondering who else has been overcharged for the salmon??
Good but never received my points from Open Table.
Steak was over cooked and had to be sent back. Service was inattentive. Valet parking was unattended.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary. It was our first time at the restaurant. The food was amazing as was the service. Will definitely return!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Very nice evening.
Wonderful food and service. Well worth the $$. 😊
Outstanding as always! The food, ambience, and service combine to make this one of our favorite restaurants.
Good as usual- an especially good venue to entertain out-of-town guests!
Our first dining experience, will dine again when we return to the area. Tanya was fabulous!
Everything was excellent except the noise level. The experience was great!
We love the Bluffton room. Service and food are consistently great. If you are staying in Bluffton, no need to go on the island for a great dining experience.
Love the Dover Sole. The service was great. The brownie with gelato is fabulous.
Moving to the Bluffton area from Charleston we expected the fine dining choices to be limited. We were very happily surprised to find Bluffton's wonderful offering, The Bluffton Room. The room, the service and the food could not be faulted, it was a lovely experience, we can't wait to return soon and often.
The Bluffton Room was another great choice. Makes 2 new great ones in 2 nights!!
The food was wonderful. You have to try their special Manhattan if you like them. It is special and not as strong as many.
The ribeye was cooked to perfection as was my wife’s Grouper.
The pace of the night was very nice as it took us 2 hours to eat and enjoy ourselves even without dessert.
Bluffton Room is well worth the visit. You won’t be disappointed.
The Bluffton Room is easily one of the best restaurants in the area and by far the best in terms of service, food presentation and ambiance. Perhaps the only restaurant in the area that servers wait until everyone is finished with a course before taking everyone's plate. Every other restaurant has people snatching the plate as soon as anyone is done interfering with conversation and just annoying. Kudos for doing it right.
Welcome and service excellent. Waitress attitude sensational but knowledge limited. Drinks good but expensive. ( amaretto sour should not be 12 dollars)!
Raw oysters too small and mignonette sauce wasn’t ! Foie gras at 16 dollars for 1 1/2 square inch on cold soggy brioche is an outrage. Dover sole lukewarm and dry (was it frozen ? If so, take it off the menu ) Steaks were excellent (but you cannot justify NYC or Las Vegas prices in BLUFFTON SC. Brussels were terrible (greasy and lukewarm) . White asparagus was way undercooked , almost raw. You appear to have a line to table issue as food was consistently not hot but serving food on cold plates certainly contributes to that problem . Overall experience was fairly good but expensive although I’m told you try to attract people at Palmetto Bluff for whom price would not be an issue. If true it’s an odd way to approach the restaurant business and is one that usually lasts for only a limited amount of years unless again it it is in a major culinary center.
I’m sorry to appear so critical but you asked and please know I intend my comments to help ownership and management aware of one mans views. We will be back!
We celebrated our anniversary there - a wonderful evening from start to finish! Loved it!!!
Wonderful service and outstanding food. The proportions are perfect. First time here, and now a favorite. Treated us so nice as we celebrated our daughter’s graduation.
Best waitress we have had in revent memory! Loved our special night!
As usual, the food and service were excellent. The wine list is not over the top, but you can always find an appropriate selection whatever your price range. One recommendation—the huge serrated steak knife is over, overkill for the filet. Half the weight and a smooth blade will do it.
We love this restaurant. Always ask for a both. Our server was wonderful, smart and did an awesome presentation of our bananas Foster. We did not give 5 stars on the food only because the portion size on all our fish entrees were very small. The sides were generous but the shared sole and our friends’ salmon Was a bit skimpy. Great taste and flavors but wanted more. The beet salad a little small as well. We will be back because service and quality is excellent.
Friday girls birthday lunch. Great food and exceptional service for six. I called the restaurant half hour before arriving and requested that two champagne bottles be on ice and at the ready upon arrival. They were there as requested! The manager also met most of our party with umbrellas in a torrential down pour while they were exiting their car. A very fun afternoon was spent in an excellent and accommodating restaurant.
The Bluffton Room is absolutely incredible! I’m from NY where i have the best restaurants and I’m a total foodie so it’s kind of hard to blow me away. It began with them having my favorite and rare wine on the menu. Then the chatuccerie board was amazing and such interesting combos. I had the little neck, shrimp and house chorizo in buccatini pasta for my entree and it was fabulous. The bananas foster made tableside for dessert was fantastic. My mom loved her steak too! Corey our waiter was amazing!! I will totally be back every visit!
Wonderful... always wonderful! The Bluffton Room is always at the top of our list when we’re in HHI/Bluffton area!
Our dinner was fabulous, service great, and food outstanding.....love this restaurant!!!
So GOOD! Been planning to try The Bluffton Room for over a year. Went looking for a quiet yet not stuffy evening with exceptional food - and we found it. Had the petite filet with Blue Cheese and Shitake mushrooms. Husband had the Dover Sole for two, excellently prepared with white wine, lemon and butter. We made our own Surf and Turf and added the white asparagus. Just the right amount of food as the Dover Sole is a very mild light fish. Oh, and adding a bottle of wine just made it all more enjoyable!
Not for those on a budget but a wonderful place. Great staff and even better food. Tried the elk and it was terrific. And a beautiful setting.
Food was good, waitress was nice, noise was as intolerable
Outstanding service by our waiter Corey
The food was outstanding but the service was not....waiter seemed overwhelmed and neglected us at times to pay attention to a rather rowdy business group right next to us.
Great food and poor service are not a good combination in my book.
awesome food, great service. We go for the Friday only New Orleans style lunch. They have 25 cent martinis to pair with their amazing burgers, salads and seafood.
Amazing dinner. Great food and service. Had an out of town guest who said it was one of his best meals ever.
This was a nice dinner but there wasn’t enough value for the dollar for me. In my opinion a $50 steak should come with potatoes.
I was told the Bluffton Room only opens on Friday afternoons for lunch only besides their standard dinner times. They pay homage to New Orleans by featuring a cajun menu and playing New Orleans type music. My wife and I made a reservation and say outside which was perfect. They also feature 25 cent martinis. Our service by Tonja was fantastic and the food was outstanding. Our new Friday lunch place.
The food has been good both times I have been to TBR not remarkable but good however the venue and service have been outstanding. Whether at an outside table or in an interior booth it was wonderful.
Everything in this restaurant is quality. Slightly overpriced.
The Bluffton Room is one of those places that is pricey but good value. Exceptional cooking and breadth of menu. Who else does tableside service, like Caesar salad and flambee dessert? Excellent staff and a reasonably priced wine list. THE special occasion place in the Bluffton/HHI area.
