Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

    We look forward to coming to Congress Hall in the blue pig Tavern every time we are in Cape May! They have one of my favorite breakfasts in town and it’s always delicious!

    We sat outside near the Congress hall lawn, which was beautiful! The crabcakes were full of crab and our server Mary was attentive. Very nice experience and not overly expensive! So glad we sat outside- and so glad for a nice cool day.

    It was a special occasion for us and making yhe reservations with all the extras was so easy an the woman was so nice and friendly. Our waitress, Mary, was outstanding. There is nothing thst could've been better. Our price was less that what was estimated, too.

    The place was extremely loud with children screaming across rate tables. Please designate a space for loud children and a separate space for other guests without children.

    Excellent dinner but the dining room was pure chaos with little kids at 6:00 pm. Need an adults only wing of the restaurant! :)
