Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

    Disappointment! Nice food but dirty table, dirty seats, and dirty floor under the table. Should not be this way, not only for CH but for any restaurant establishment.

    Had late dinner on the outside front veranda. Very lively, a bit loud, but less than the indoor dining room. Food very good quality. Salads very fresh with flavorful ripe garden tomatoes. Outstanding attention to dietary allergy needs. Kitchen very willing to accommodate with compatible side dish accommodations. I only wish their profiteroles were made or offered with real vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream.

    A great dinner, with great service, as always! We enjoyed our annual Blue Pig dinner while on vacation in Cape May. The deviled eggs, chopped salad, and meatloaf were outstanding, as was the service and ambience!

    Burrata salad was excellent ā€¦ main meals was sub-par. Skirt steak was in too much oil, the gnocchi was ok and the lobster pot pie was not a pot pie. Was very disappointed as we have eaten at the establishment many times and have enjoyed it.
