Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

    Breakfast- bacon dry. Scrambled eggs dry and overcooked. Fresh squeezed oj delicious. Two regular coffees in Tommy’s Folly terrible. Tasted burnt and left on burner too long. People at pool overheard complaining about same coffee. I will be going else where for coffee in future.

    Very nice place! The only thing i would say is that the phone kept ringing which was annoying. No one ever picked up to stop it!

    We were seated at a very small table for two. We had not yet finished our appetizers when our dinners arrived. There was not enough room for glasses, appys and dinners yet the person stood there until we took our main course while trying to make room on the table. Ridiculous. As an aside, the server tried to give the wrong dinner to the couple seated next to us. VERY disappointed.

    Restaurant week was great!! The menu at the Blue Pig was so delicious, and had a very nice variety. The highlight of the evening was the manager of the hotel came to our table and encouraged us to visit the Brown Room after dinner, and it was so enjoyable to listen to the performer and have a final final. Chris stopped to see if we were enjoying- what a great guy!

    I would highly recommend it. Appetizers: oysters on 1/2 shell, farm meats & cheese and crab dip. Dinner: filet mignon and braised short rib. Dessert: apple pie. Every thing was very good, we will definitely be returning.

    Blue Pig Tavern is the perfect spot for breakfast/lunch. Being at the historic Congress Hall and sharing a wonderful meal was the perfect way to end our time in Cape May. The food, service, and location are all wonderful. I would highly recommend!

    this was an amazing experience. everything was perfect. the whole restaurant was a vibe, food was delicious and the service was beyond excellent. thank you all so much who made our bride feel so special! HIGHLY recommend the private dining for parties of 10 or more. VERY VERY EXCELLENT CHOICE
