Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

    Service and food was outstanding! Very cozy tavern room with wood burning fireplace added to the ambiance. After dinner drinks in the Brown Room with entertainment is a must! Can’t wait to come back again.

    Saturday is prime rib day. Served with Demi glaze, horseradish crème, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Delicious!!

    The steak frite I ordered had a strange taste and I returned it and asked for the chicken dish instead. The chicken was rubbery, burnt tasting and the aus jus was tasteless. The service was very nice and ambience was good, but unfortunately the food experience was a disappointment.

    Food and service was good, especially the Fish and Chips. The ambiance was less than good. Dark so that you couldn't read the menu and the noise level prevented talking at the table.

    We enjoyed lunch at the Blue Pig today. The prices are comparable with other restaurants in Cape May but the food is much better. Large portions too!
