The Blue Fish - Washington Ratings and Reviews
Their ahi tuna tower is one of the things I miss about not living in Houston. So happy to see this lovation, as their downtown location can be tough to access (you have to park underground and hope you come up street level at thw right spot). Love this place for delicious sushi!!
This is a great place to eat sushi/sashimi. The service was excellent, the food variety and quality was great and overall we enjoyed the place very much. Not too noisy despite being pretty busy. Reservations are recommended.
Horrible experience. Our waitress was mediocre. I was at Bluefish on a Friday evening with my family, celebrating passing of my Registered Dietitian state exam. At the end of our dining experience, the waitress approached our table in the midst of our table having great conversation and proceeded to inquire about her tip and expressed her dissatisfaction with the tip she received in front of the entire table. Never in my life have I ever witnessed behavior like this or have been apart of such embarrassing, unprofessional behavior at a restaurant like this. It was quite embarrassing on her part and on ours. I made sure to give her a piece of my mind as well as let the manager be aware of the unprofessional, horribly awkward situation that their mediocre waitress put us in. She runed such a pleasant night. I will never return here again.
Blue fish marked that I did not attend my reservation made through Open Table- which I did in fact attend tonight for dinner. Dinner was great, but we felt that the management was rushing us out and trying to flip our table before we were even finished and before they had even brought the bill. The ahi tower is one of my favorite dishes, and I tried two new rolls that were delicious. I have always loved blue fish- but tonight was a pain.
Came here for the first time for my 30th birthday and service was good, although my roll I ordered didn't get placed and I was the last one to eat they compensated us by buying a round of drinks and also a birthday dessert, the food was delicious and I will definitely be going back
I liked most rolls (dragon, hamachi), but 2 subpar dishes were the lava roll and octopus. The former tasted terrible.. deep fried batter on the outside with terrible tasting fish and jalopeno on the inside. The latter wasnt sweet at all and tasted like it wasn't prepared.. its texture wasn't as tender as other authentic sushi joints.
The only down side is this is a very kid friendly place. They even give away balloons- so if your looking to get away from the family and have an adult beverage with friends I would strongly suggest you sit in the bar area away from the children. The music in the bar area was almost to loud to enjoy a conversation, however the drinks are spot on!
