My sides were barely warm enough. Service was slow: took forever for bread to be delivered and water refill wasn’t offered until we were ready to checkout. Restaurant wasn’t very busy. I might return but wouldn’t be my first choice

It was my first time here and it won’t be my last. I had the oysters, they were excellent, and the goat cheese salad, and a side of truffle fries. YUMMM! Cool spot to hang out.

We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The bar and front room were very loud so we asked to sit in the back room, which is lovely. We sat there for 10 minutes and no waiter. My husband went to the front desk and the greeter poured water for us and said the server would be there soon. We waited another 15 minutes—no server. We finally gave up and told the greeter why—she wasn’t too concerned about the situation. We went somewhere else. I would like to try again but that was a disappointing and very loud experience. Glad it’s so popular—they should hire more servers.

Had a great meal here with the family! Came in for dinner and really enjoyed the experience. The service was top notch, and everything from the appetizers through entrees came out quickly. The food was really good too, I personally had the grilled swordfish it was prepared perfectly, the flavor and texture was exactly what I was hoping for, which can be hard to do with swordfish!

The food was under-salted. Crab benedict was flavorless even with a so-called "cajun" hollandaise. The breakfast potatoes were delicious with a little salt, but the salt shaker didn't work..and when we opened the top, it was all rusty and gross. This place needs a cleaner and a renovation. Broken chairs in the foyer; no attention to environment or detail. Crap corners with junk piled up in the corners of the courtyard. It took 15 minutes or so to be greeted in the back room on a Sunday afternoon. Another large party was very loud and rowdy, and it was hard to hear our conversation (that's not the restaurant's fault). The server took 20 minutes (not even exaggerating) to return our checks to us so we could leave. This place needs an overhaul. It could be a magical dining experience if someone puts a little love and energy into the environment and food and creates a culture of excellence among the servers. It was blase. I want to love this place because it's a stone's throw from our house, but I have given it several tries and have been disappointed each time, unfortunately.

Nice dining experience in a cool neighborhood. Starters (oysters, blue crab soup) were excellent. Halibut special could have used a bit more flavor and heavy fried rice side was a bit too much. Our server, Dylan, was efficient and very friendly. Will return if we visit Jax again

Overall very good, great service. I was a little disappointed in the lobster ravioli. I thought I asked if it had chunks of lobster in it and they said yes, but when I got it, it was ground. Noise level was a little high, and it wasn’t full. Out of our party of five, everyone else had fabulous meal.

Tonight was my first time dining for dinner, but brunch was fantastic, so I knew it would be great! Happy hour drink specials had something for everyone! My Fresh Catch Red snapper was delicious and the choice of finishings was fantastic! I highly recommend rainbow curry! Ended the night with Chocolate brownie a la mode! I'm already planning my next experience!

It was a wonderful brunch! I was very surprised at how much we received for such a reasonable price. We started out with a complementary choice of fresh fruit or their special cup cake. Cinnamon bread. Both were wonderful. The choice of entrées was incredible. The three of us had something different, and none of us were disappointed. And I was shocked to be able to have a great three dollar bloody Mary and $1.50 Mamosa. I don’t know how they do it. But the best part of our whole brunch was our incredible server, Cassidy. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a wonderful personality. it was probably the best brunch I’ve ever had in Jacksonville.

Always good seafood. But overcooked /mushy veggies. Server was pleasant but perhaps lacking experience. While eating we were asked if we were finished, then finished plates sat, and our bread arrived as we finished our meal…3 rolls for the 4 of us. 🙁 We’ll be back but offer these comments for your consideration 🐟

Not the best night we’ve had at the Blue Fish but to be fair, it was 100 degrees outside and the a/c’s couldn’t keep up. So we had a very warm dinning experience, food was just ok and we had to send back and replace one order. That being said, 3 people, 3 glasses of wine, a dozen raw oysters and 3 entrees for about $130 with tip was reasonable. We’ve eaten here plenty of times to realize this bad experience was more of the exception rather than rule as far as quality of dinning.

It started off great… I was SO looking forward to this dinner but shortly after we got our appetizer and drinks, it all fell apart! We sat there over an hour waiting before we asked for the manager. That’s when we saw our waitress look in our direction. She bolted for the kitchen and was in there quite a while so it was obvious our food wasn’t even prepared. After she brought out the food, she apologized that the kitchen was backed up. We didn’t believe this at all, the truth goes a long way… We are all human beings and make mistakes, I don’t believe she was entirely at fault; I would have been nice if we heard what actually happened. Twenty minutes after our food arrived the manager came out. He apologized and comped our meal which we couldn’t eat at that point. I was incredibly disappointed.

Beautiful restaurant, was recommended by another couple for our first outing as new parents and I’m so glad we went. Food and service was terrific! The cocktails were so beautiful and delicious. Waitresses were kind and very classy, made us feel very welcomed.
