   Not impressed with food offerings. Small portions and not worth the price. Also, I let our server know that we were celebrating a birthday and he did nothing to make the experience special. No suggestions on cocktails or desserts. There was no bread service due to selling out (our res was for 7p). Salad with goat cheese medallion was nothing more than a cup of mixed green, one cheese medallion, a couple of sun-dried tomatoes, and balsamic vinaigrette. We made our own fun but will not revisit this establishment for a celebration.

   First time at Blue Fish. 4 of us had dinner before going to a concert. Our server, Richard, was very attentive. All courses came out promptly and without overstepping each other. Only one entree, the lobster ravioli, wasn’t exceptional nor plentiful. The fried green tomato appetizer was not flavorful and was too firm, with the coating just falling off if it. Other than those, the other entrees - mahi & salmon - were delicious. The white chocolate bread pudding was perfect and large enough as a shared dessert.

   We have dined here many times and the food is always exceptional and the service excellent. It was the first time we dined upstairs and it was quiet and plenty of space.

   We had a wonderful dinner with friends outside in the courtyard. Our server was great and very helpful in our meal selections, and the food was excellent, as always. Another fun evening at Blue Fish!

   Lovely venue. We sat in the courtyard, which is quieter. Service was a little slow. Drinks seemed watered down and food wasn't nearly as good as I remembered, so overall, it was a little disappointing. Maybe it was just an off-night. The bar was hopping, so maybe we'll try sitting inside next time.

   The waitress, Kayla, was the highlight of the visit. She was so gracious and patient and just went above and beyond to help us. We had so many changes and people that showed up unexpectedly and she just adjusted and made it happen. She was awesome!

    I’ve been to blue fish several times so I decided to host my birthday brunch it was disappointing reservation was for 1pm waitress came in didn’t greet nor did she offer anything to drink my guest has to ask another waiter which got it with no problem it was over an hour before we got any drink or food service for was not the best we ended up getting another waiter she was great at first but very confused and stressed as if it was her first day kept confusing the drinks she also forgot to give one of my guest her change then denied it we had to get the manager to step in to handle it overall it was a bad experience especially since it was my birthday brunch I was so let down please do better

    Excellent brunch. Eggs with corn beef hash are outstanding. They make their own hash and it’s really good. $3 bloody Mary’s that actually have vodka included in the drink. $1.50 mimosas. Come on, practically giving them away. Always good service and a nice upscale but not pretentious atmosphere.

    Had a reservation for front patio. Had to wait longer than we should’ve because another server gave away our table that being cleaned for us. Worked out in the end but uncomfortable with having to ground and demand the persons be moved.

    We frequently dine @ Blue Fish & have a great experience every-time from the service to the presentation of the food to the ambience. On the 16th we took our best friends there from out of town since it’s one of our favorite restaurants and we were embarrassed that we told them how amazing Blue Fish is after our encounter with our server. She was absolutely awful… rude is an understatement. She hit my friend on the shoulder for him to move his arm from the menu she basically threw our plates to us. She was definitely not having a good day and she seemed very annoyed to be working that evening. I understand we all have our moments but her behavior was unacceptable. Coming from running my own business and many years in customer service. I just thought the management should know of our experience we had the other night. This definitely won’t stop us from dining at Blue Fish but we were disappointed we didn’t have a better experience the other night while our friends were in town. Our server’s name is Connie.

    Great interior courtyard. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the fish with lump crabmeat rice bowl. Both were fantastic. Our server Paul was very attentive and engaging. We will be back!

    Service was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had an omelette & potatoes. Others had waffles, pancakes, & poached eggs. An unexpected treat- free cookies & brownies -1 per person. They need to get a Cappuccino machine though. A few food items were not perfect. Number one awful thing was the Bloody Mary mix. Like drinking a huge glass of salt! Horrible!!! Bartender should make drinks “from scratch” with V8 or Tomato juice. My “to go” order of Mahi with capers- fish tasted old, & was served with 2 starches- potatoes & grits. Needed a veggie. Bathroom is 1 person at a time. Needs to be remodeled! This is a very popular Avondale “hot spot”, & we enjoy going there, even though we have to drive for 45 mins. from our house.

    Have eaten here before and really enjoyed the food. Had dinner Friday and the flounder special was dry and tasteless. Returned for brunch with friends and the crab shrimp eggs Benedict was a joke. Couldn’t find the crab and there were 4 shrimp. Very disappointing. The patio area needs to be cleaned up. A partially full foundation that doesn’t work isn’t attractive. Will think twice before going back.

    I went in looking to have the Fish and Chips as I was craving fried fish. Once there and I saw the menu options, I went for the Korean BBQ Salmon. It surley did not dissapoint. Now I need to go back and try the Fish and Chips! Our server Ashley was very attentive and checked on us often enough The wife's lobster ravioli was very good as was the crab bisque. We'll be back.

    Came for daughters 20th birthday celebration. Ordered appetizers and it came out with dinner with luke warm food. Waiter apologized however, it was our first experience and probably our last. Food was a little under seasoned. Our guest stated brunch service and food was better but we probably won't return.

    Service was very sub par. The hostess wasn’t welcoming at all, but the biggest issue was the waitress/kitchen. Multiple times throughout the night we had empty water cups. One member of our parties food was forgotten about. It didn’t come out until the other 2 members were finishing up eating and when it did arrive, the noodles were cold.

    Shrimp cocktail was great. Only had sweet tea to drink but it was good. Salmon and potatoes were very good and well seasoned. Vegetables were very under seasoned.

    This is our second date here this week, Richard is by far our favorite waiter of all the places we dine. Avondale isn't close to where we live it all, but we'll be back frequently. The lamb on Valentines day was incredible, please offer it more often!

    Kinda Disappointing. Service was slow, there was a special menu for Valentines Day, which was fine, but......no bread? Okay. My plate arrived cool, the pasta was good for me, but my girlfriend's was horrible, overcooked and all stuck together. The Fish was good. My shrimp was good, my girlfriends shrimp was very overcooked. Just inconsistent. Definitely overpriced for what we got.

    Surprised, Blue Fish is a favorite of mine, but the food and service were off during this last Sunday brunch. Drink service took forever, food came out at different times, not cooked to our order. Very disappointing.

    Had the Shrimp and Grits, which was very very salty. I cut the salt with lemon and it was better. I’ll order something else next time. I love the restaurant and usually get the oysters

    Delicious, unassuming meal. I had the swordfish with herb crust and lump crab, and my mom had the key lime shrimp pasta. Both dishes were excellent. The mac and cheese side was also perfectly cheesy and creamy. Our waitress took great care of us as well.

    My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner! The service was incredible and the food was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night or anniversary dinner! It was perfect noise level, enough to not feel like you needed to whisper but not too loud to where you couldn’t have a conversation! Loved the entire experience!

    Not up to the hype. Food was acceptable, but nothing more. Service was acceptable, but nothing more. At these prices, both should be a lot better.
