The Blue Fish - Las Colinas
This was the first visit for several of my friends. Even those who don't eat sushi, enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service.
Very good sushi; fresh fish. Good selection of sushi, sashimi, rolls and many other Japanese dishes. The Samurai roll was excellent as was the salmon belly sashimi.
The service was excellent; very attentive and helpful. Wonderful meal; if you are craving good sushi, you can’t go wrong with a visit at the The Blue Fish!
Brian was great and the food was amazing too!
Food was good and service was also good. specials were not exciting and very pricey.
The food is overrated and overpriced. The food was ok, but not good enough to warrant to cost. Ok disappointed and wish I would have tried another restaurant in the area instead.
It was good!
Not real Sushi. Chinese chef. Not tasty. Loud. Like so many sushi restaurants expensive and mediocre.
The taste/ quality of the food and drinks were on point, however the service/ communication were lacking. I had made a reservation for 8pm for a table for 2 and were not sat till 930pm, that was an excessive wait for making a reservation. Once sat we were looked over, not greeted for about 10mins. Ordered drinks, alcohol beverages that took 30mins to arrive at the table. I'll just stop there...I was embarrassed because it was my recommendation.
Went for Valentine's Day with a reservation for 7:45 pm, done with Open Table. Upon arrival we noticed that it was a 1st come 1st serve situation, the reservation meant nothing. We proceeded to wait for a table but it took over an hour before we decided to eat at the table in the bar area where we were sitting waiting. The server took forever to show up, and the food was way below par from what we had tried a couple of years prior. Needless to say, we won't be going back. In their quest for a quick buck I'm sure they lost many current and potential customers.
it was mobbed and it did not matter if we had a reservatoin
Everything was delicious especially the shark bait roll. Service was amazing.
We had to wait for an hour past our reservation time but once we sat down it was delicious
Even with a reservation made weeks in advance, the restaurant overbooked itself and had 10 reservations waiting. It was a 30 minute wait from the time of my reservation till I was seated. Host staff was incredibly rude and doomed the restaurant for failure as they were seating people without reservations over people with reservations. This is not the purpose of making a reservation. The lead hostess ought to have been fired for her management and customer service skills.
Great place to meet and conduct business deals
Our server was personable and polite. My bowl was incorrectly made, as I requested no Jalapeno's. However, it was lunch, meals should come out simultaneously. It's awkward, especially when dining with a man. Most find it respectful to wait until their female counterparts receive their food, prior to eating. I had a poke bowl, two different types of sushi, and a Moscow mule. The bowl was great, minus the order faux pas, sushi was standard, and mule overly iced.
The minor setbacks won't prevent me from dining at Blue Fish.
Great dining experience, bar lighting is a bit too bright, however everything is 5 star at Blue Fish!
1st experience at BlueFish. Everyone had a great meal and we ordered several rolls to share. The Mega Lobster Roll was hands down the favorite by all. Definitely going back!
Fabulous food and service!
Great (really great) service and really good food.
Great service and incredible food!
Had a reservation made for 8:45pm for 8 people. When we got there table wasn't, the restaurant was not that busy. The server was sweet but forgot to put in our kitchen orders (hot food), so all the sushi came out and then 20 minutes later when we asked he stated he'd check on them but still took them 15 minutes for the food to come out. The restaurant closes at 10pm so we had pack the two items to go. Overall it was a decent experience. Maybe they were understaffed so it was slow but the food was good.
NYE dinner was very nice. Well done.
Always one of my favorites. As with all sushi it’s expensive but I love their specialty roles and tuna tower
Everything was flawless from the seating to our server to the food. I arrived earlier than normal, what made the experience better.
Food was okay. Unimaginative rolls, salmon was alright, but very lean and lacking that buttery flavor that makes it so good. Nothing really exciting for nigiri. Service was friendly and professional.
The interior really needs a refresh. No real ambiance. Bar was lively, but the main dining room was mostly empty.
Best place to celebrate my birthday!!
We were there to celebrate a birthday. Food was good but the service was below average. They brought out our soups and main dish at the same time. Server seemed a bit overwhelmed and busy.
Delightful food: the Tuna Tower has the perfect mix of ingredients and spices; samurai and piñata rolls were exceptional
This place is a gem! The food was fresh, sushi was delicious, presentation was beautiful and portions were perfect. We ate at the gorgeous bar. Josh, the bartender took good care of us. We will definitely go back!
Always a favorite when I go to Irving. Be sure to ask for the “boat” menu. Not listed but great for parties of 2 or more.
Decent food. Not fancy.
It is a really nice big room and you can actually see the chef at work! all is very fresh. I personally love the Bluefish tower as a starter dish!
it is sometimes a little cold. but I am european and not used to the heavy Airconditioning usage in the USA.
We have eaten at Blue Fish for years and on,any occasions. The food is always fresh, delicious and the service is always on point!
Loved our waiter, Brian. Our food was up to the usual Blue Fish standard. We were satisfied.
I’ve been to other Blue Fish restaurants and they were much better than this. The food seemed off on this visit.
Another great lunch!
Good sushi, though not very impressed with the fatty yellow tail sushi, small and a bit tougher then what I expected. In all likelihood, I’ll be back for round two...
It was my birthday, and we made a reservation to go to this specific Blue Fish, as it is typically very good. It was disgusting. We left a lot of the sushi on the table. It was fishy, tough and tasted old. It was so bad that I don’t think any of my family will visit this location again.
Always great! Blue Fish consistently serves the freshest and best tasting sushi in the DFW area. Don't miss it!
