The Blacksmith Restaurant
Perfect anniversary dinner! We love this restaurant!
The server was excellent—far better than the over priced meal. I ordered the steak medallions and the beef had a funky taste—-the beans were undercooked and there wasn’t even a salad. The meal cost $180–for 4 people and 3 had 1 cocktail apiece. The servings were small and ridiculously expensive. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all!
Meeting with friends from San Diego and their married children who just moved into Bend from Pasadena.
We had a great anniversary dinner and the food was excellent. The Ceasar salad was good the Poke was amazing (worth a trip back just for the poke) and the steaks were good as well. One thing that would have made them better was a little less sauce and let the flavor of the Filet or Rib Eye come through. Sometimes less is more. The service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Great place all around!
Nice steak house with other delicious offerings in an unpretentious environment. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
Lovely birthday dinner. Staff was attentive and gracious; food was superb
Always the best bang for the buck in bend!
The Blacksmith restaurant is a warm welcoming place with a soothing quiet atmosphere and excellent food and wine. We brought friends from out of town and they were very pleased as were we with the total experience at the Blacksmith.
Had a great time here! Great food! Nice dining experience.
This restaurant is AMAZING! We were in Bend overnight wanting a fine dining establishment. When we drove up we were so surprised to see a beautiful building, unique, brick. Upon our arrival I discovered my reservation was incorrect and the hostess immediately accommodated us. I absolutely loved this restaurant from the outside, to the bar area to the restaurant seating area. The service was impeccable. The food absolutely out of this world. Yes I would highly recommend this restaurant!
I booked our anniversary dinner through OpenTable. Upon check in at the restaurant we were greeted and wished a happy anniversary. We were seated immediately and found roses on our table upon arrival. Lindsey was a phenomenal waitress. The appetizer, entrees, and desserts were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner
All dishes were excellent. Server was very personable and knew her craft. She also gave outstanding recommendations.
Starters: Fried Green Tomatoes were way undercooked and the shrimp from the Shrimp Cocktail wasn’t fresh, but taste like it had been frozen at some point.
Main course: Wife ordered the Cajun medallions which tasted like it was seasoned with Ortega fajita mix(I wish I was making this up). The mash potatoes that came with it tasted as though they came from a box, and I ordered the Northwest Ribeye. Which was so fatty I didn’t even finish it, also the horseradish mash potatoes tasted like they came from a box, but they tried to mask it with waaaaaay to much horseradish.
Needless to say, but we will never be back. Nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Paid 106$(not counting the tip)for dog food.
First time visiting Bend and first time at the restaurant. Had the tomahawk for two and it was outstanding!
A great place for a special dinner. I would recommend going early in the evening- then the quiet is great.
Great!!! Why haven't we been to see you more often?
Excellent food, great variety in entrees and outstanding service.
Recommended by Kayo’s. Very pleasant. Easy to access on open Table. Wonderful service.
From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel special. We had noted that it was our anniversary when making reservations. When we arrived we were welcomed with a Happy Anniversary from the hostess and escorted to our table which had a reserved sign and two red roses. Our waitress also acknowledged our anniversary and was a pleasure throughout the evening. Food was excellent. I had beet salad and the pork chop. My husband had the Caesar salad and the steak. For dessert we shared the bread pudding.
Great service! Fried green tomatoes with chicken salad was amazing. Chicken salad was so good they should sell this retail.
Dinner with friends
Wonderful restaurant and excellent steaks. I strongly recommend especially for special occasions.
We celebrated our anniversary and decided to try a restaurant we hadn’t been to yet. The rib eye on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes was huge and very tender. We appreciated the waitress’ recommendations - she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We will go back!
Always great food and service!
The meal was wonderful, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, will be coming again!
Pricey, portion control yet good food and elegantly displayed. Nice ambiance, clean and friendly.
It was my 28th anniversary so we wanted a nice experience, great food, great service, etc. Blacksmith did not disappoint. We had a quiet booth, great server, and delightful interesting food. And the hostess had placed two red roses at our table prior to seating us, which made my wife very happy. :)
Great evening at The Blacksmith. Started with cocktails at the bar, Manhattan for me and a what was exclaimed to be a very good Sazerac for the wife. Dinner started with salads that were above average, a bottle of Washington state Merlot then the show piece of the Tomahawk Rib Eye for Two... if you come later in the evening chances are they may sell out of these amazing steaks so get here at a decent time. What a brilliant looking steak! came with choice of sides... we had the brussels sprouts and the green beans... the green beans were probably the only low point of the evening as they were somewhat underdone and not the best flavors. The evening ended on a high note of the brownie dessert and we were done.... Uber home and ready to tuck in. Thanks to bartender John and the waitstaff at The Blacksmith for making our anniversary dinner fantastic!!
They made us feel so special for our romantic honeymoon dinner. We want to go back ASAP! Thank you for that lovely evening, high quality cocktails, and delicious food!
We have been to the Blacksmith several times before and each time have had a pleasant experience! Our server for one was fantastic! The food was fantastic and the ambiance is always lovely! Thanks so much! We will be back!
The service was exceptional all around. The food was superb and worth it.
We were looking forward for a gastronomic experience in a great ambiance. We were not disappointed.
Our server Tammy was great and the food was amazing!!!
We always love going to the Blacksmith. The food is ALWAYS perfect, cooked exactly as we ordered it. There is a good selection of dishes and it's fun to try new items on the menu. Hands down, it's the best.
We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at BlackSmith. Our table had 2 roses on it and it was one of their two special celebration tables. We had the rib eye and the pork chop which was cooked perfectly. We shared the truffle fries which were very delicious. I had the beet salad which was fresh and flavorful. Dawn our server made our night more special. She was respectful of our special time and took her time with us as we would order our meal over a relaxing time. We were not hurried and Dawn made sure each course was done properly. We brought in our own cake and they kept it cold in their kitchen. Dawn brought it to our table with 2 candles. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. So wonderful to be able to have a special memory of our celebration at BlackSmith.
Fantastic experience loved the food a tad bit pricey but I'm nitpicking really it was fantastic.
Celebrated my birthday with my husband so we splurged for a fabulous bottle of Cakebread Cellars Cabernet and it paired perfectly with my delicious filet. I started with the roasted beet salad, yummo! The almond brittle it was served with was perfect. My husband had the pasta of the day and it was wonderful. I can’t say enough about our server, she was spot on! It was the perfect ending to a day well celebrated. We’ll be back!
