Outstanding service and the food was great.
Came to listen to the band, Family Style. I enjoyed my meal, large portions. Drinks were excellent!
This was our first time there,we'll back soon.Looking forward to listening to more music.
We ordered Chilean Sea Bass and Cajun Pasta (2nd choice b/c there was no more trout), both of which were decent neither terrible nor excellent (sea bass tasted not better than Maestro and the price was about 10% less). The service was horrible...it took about 15 min. for a server to show up asking us what would we like to drink. The food took another 20 min. to arrive. Didn't see anyone again until we twice requested for the check. It seemed there was only one working server taking care of 6 tables. There were others in uniform but did not do much except for walking around. The time was 9pm on Friday and the place was 50% occupied.
It was our first visit and we ordered two of the specials: steak and crab cake and the halibut. The food was what ruined it. The steak, although flavorful, was undercooked and too grisly (hard to cut). The crab cake was just okay ( where’s the crab meat?). The scallop potatoes were too salty. The halibut was tender but unflavored. I told the waitress about the steak and the manager came to talk to us. Everyone was willing to listen , but, offered no discount or free dessert. We ordered the Memphis donut which was good although it was smothered in too much sauce. We won’t be back.
We have been here a couple of times for brunch and been wanting to try it for dinner but their dinner prices are on the high $$, $$$ side. We were trying to find a place for our anniversary dinner and decided to come here and did not disappoint.
We had a couple of cocktails to start with. I had the pain killer and hubby had the cracked coconut from the summer cocktail special menu. We loved the painkiller! The cracked coconut was just so so; I guess there is a lot of shaved coconuts in it because it was very hard to drink with the straw. We had the sriracha shrimps and clam chowder to start. The clam chowder is thick and full of clam. The sriracha shrimp was good but we'll probably try something else next time. I had scallops and shrimp and hubby had Chilean sea bass. My shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection with sautéed spinach and polenta. The sea bass was a generous chunk and done just right. We shared the whiskey creme brûlée bread pudding; it was good but we were a bit disappointed because there was no creme brûlée portion to it at all.
We had a wonderful dinner and will definitely come back again!! They take reservations on Open Table and it's usually pretty open. The interior is on the classic darker side. One thing to remember is that they have a live band playing during prime dinner hours starting 7 or 8pm so go early if you don't want loud music!
Fantastic entertainment. We went for the live music.
Service was excellent. When we were being seated, I was unhappy with the location. So, they seated the 4 of us on the floor level where we could see the band (which was excellent because of the choice of songs as well as the vocals, etc.) First experience there & we will definitely try it again.
Family Friday dinner
Birthday for my husband. Food was good but service was a little slow.
Excellent food and service. My swordfish was wonderful. The clam chowder, the best in Orange County
A unique get away in the center of Orange County... Old Town Tustin. The historic Tustin Garage has been converted into an amazing venue with indoor and outdoor seating. Most nights have live music. The food is amazing with a menu to please everyone. Sunday brunch is the best with Bloody Marys or endless Champagne Mimosa. This place has a strong local following and the regulars are just a friendly as the staff. on the wall is a message: " enter as a stranger and leave as a friend" (paraphrased). I'll be back, see you there!
Sapphire on rocks full glass pour with blue cheese olives! Don't see that too many places anymore... the food has been exceptional from day one. Love the patio where we can have a conversation minus the noise. Service is great even when busy. I enjoy seeing such pros work together. Prices are a bargain for the quality. Two words: World Class!
Macey was amazing food was great Libation was always there when it was needed or wanted
Food was delicious. Our waitress had lots of other tables so service wasn't the best. She tried her best. Our table for 6 was right next to the bar area and it was very loud and difficult to hold a conversation. Still - everyone was pleased with the location and the food.
Ribs were a little dry
Great place great food great service!
The fresh seafood is excellent, and the clam chowder is the best - better than what we've had in New England!
Ate outside in the back patio area. We so appreciate that you accommodate dogs! Our server was excellent!
Great bar food and cocktails! We go watch the band Family Style on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Great music, food, drinks, and fun 🎉🎉🎉
Great servers! Great food! Great music! We always have fun here!!🎊🎉
Great food, friendly wait staff. Very accommodating. Reservations were fir outside but they were able to move us inside to hear our favorite band!!!
We loved the unexpected magic experience at our seats in bar area!
Good Wednesday wine specials and dinner was very delicious. Sand dabs and paella were so good.
Nice casual place in old town Tustin. The staff was pleasant and food was good. I think the band could start at 8:30, it gets so loud.
We had fabulous food and a great waitress. We were on the front patio, and it became loud towards the end of our dinner. However, we enjoyed the music.
Really good lobster Mac n cheese, and island poke. Very good band playing 80's stuff. Popular, fun place.
Great food, great live music! We would recommend to others!
Casual night out for good drinks, dining and dancing. Fun crowd. Great staff.
Ordered the drinks then soup
The soup came in before the drink strike one
Got clam showier soup
Took one spoon terrible missing something ordered the check paid and left
Thank god did not order dinner
First and last time in this restaurant
I came to conclusion a lot of bad food served in different restaurants lately ( from the highest end to the low ones )
I don’t blame the restaurants I blame those people who eat this bad food
I'm a regular. Don't need to say more. Been going since they opened their doors.
Great waitresses/ very attentive and generous and friendly
just to clarify... the noise level was desirable, as we attended to hear the band = )
Great food with a combination of great service and wonderful environment. A definite staple for business meals.
Food was too expensive. Loud, noisy environment. Difficulty using a gift card, which has not caused us any problems at other restaurants.
Great food and service! Made my birthday special.
Our first time at this restaurant. We were seated promptly and I immediately realized how unbelievably loud it was. There was no way my husband and I could have had a conversation. So we asked the Server if another table was available, and we were moved to a booth at the back of the restaurant. That was a huge improvement, so I appreciated their willingness to oblige us.
We ordered fried calamari to start. It was very good. Not tough or too chewy. And our cocktails were yummy as well. Where they missed the mark was with our entrees. I ordered a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. On the menu it said something about the chowder being “the best in OC”. Sadly that is not at all true. It was very milky, thin, with limited clams and potatoes. No seasoning to speak of. Just extremely bland and boring. Plus the size of the serving is more like a cup versus a bowl.
My husband ordered a French Dip sandwich. While the serving was quite large, the Au Jus was completely tasteless. After he mentioned it several times, I tasted it as well. I agreed there was no flavor. Luckily there was some horseradish included, so he slathered that on which helped. On a positive note, our Server was excellent! But, overall the food was very disappointing. We won’t be back.
It was my girlfriends birthday and she ordered halibut which was delicious. It was really nice that our waitress brought out a triple layer chocolate cake for her. She loves chocolate. Nice evening
Easter brunch on the patio with the family was relaxing, tasty and included live music in the background... would go again!
Our waitress, Shannon, was terrific. Wish band wasn’t quite so loud. Small venue- didn’t need to be so loud.
