The Bistro - Biltmore Estate
The Bistro features contemporary American fare. Fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients are the focus on the dinner menu, which features premium steaks, impeccable mountain trout and seafood, poultry and lamb. Chef Daniel Polk creates contemporary bistro-inspired recipes featuring estate–raised products and locally grown produce. Gardens on the estate produce a wide array of vegetables and fruits throughout the seasons, and our extensive pasture lands provide all-natural, hormone-free Black Angus beef and lamb.

We truly enjoyed our experience at The Bistro, we selected a late afternoon lunch time to avoid the rush and enjoy a quiet lunch for our anniversary. The food was fantastic, both the French Onion and Roasted Red Pepper soups were spectacular. We will definitely dine here on another visit to Biltmore Estate.
Most things on the menu were gluten-free which was incredible. A little pricey for the quality though, but one of the best restaurants on Biltmore Estate
We went there for lunch while staying at the inn. I have several food allergies and after the server had to. Check with the kitchen about ingredients, they were unable to accommodate me. I did order the corn risotto but was unaware there were onions in it and became ill after only a few bites. The place itself was very nice but I think they they should be able to make or substitute some items.
Great food and excellent everything.
Lovely spot for lunch during a daytime visit to Biltmore. Great location next to Biltmore Winery and the wine shop. Loved the pizza!
Had a great experience there, ambience , food, service, fabulous. Was a great birthday dinner
As always, we have only good things to say about our dinner at The Bistro
We had out of town guests with us and needless to say they were impressed. (Their first time at The Bistro)
We are grateful that the evening was up to the usual excellence of The Biltmore standard.
We usually try to bring most of our out of town guests to the Biltmore premises and especially try to have a meal at The Bistro.
Thank You again for a lovely evening.
A truly fantastic experience. Enjoyed the whole experience.
Perfect location for birthday
absolutely wonderful experience as always!! We have visited the Bistro several times and have always had an outstanding experience!!
Host was neither nice nor accommodating. Even though my reservation was made several days in advance and specifically requested a booth, he commented that I was lucky to even get seated and should not have expected my request (a booth) to be honored on such a busy night!!! We brought a guest for her 81st birthday and were quite embarrassed at the unfriendly reception we encountered!!
Our server, Smyly, was extremely attentive and efficient - truly fantastic.
The food was exquisite, as always, and most delicious. The Day Boat Scallops and Filet were cooked to perfection, just as requested, and paired with complementary vegetables.
Overall, the experience was good. I just wish the evening had started with more consideration and kindness and less rudeness!!! A "busy" night should be an opportunity for staff to prove how good they really are . . . . . A TIME TO SHINE!!!
Here for a concert with friends. Was hoping for a nice relaxing dinner but was sat by the kitchen and heard the food orders being shouted out throughout the dinner along with clattering of dishes. Not the ambience one would hope for at a nicer Biltmore restaurant. In addition the hostess was not friendly. Disappointing.
All of our food was very over seasoned. You are paying for location. Food is mediocre at best.
We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful summer evening. The food was amazing and our server Vanessa was terrific.
Could not have had a better experience! The food was delicious and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and we spent a leisurely lunch without feeling rushed. I highly recommend it.
Had not been in years and many great memories flooded back - super food, attentive waiter, great wine! A winner!!
I've never been disappointed at The Bistro, and my August 2019 visit was no exception. Great, inventive flavor combinations. Also appreciate the suggestions on Biltmore wines to pair with the different dishes.
Excellent food in a great atmosphere. Service was spot on.
For exceptional food, great service, wonderful ambience, and some quiet corners, you cannot do better than the Bistro at Biltmore Estate cannot be outdone.
I found the food a bit disappointing. The salads were kind of small-- and the dressing was bland.
One of our party ordered the Steak Fritte which consisted of a small amount of steak and a WHOLE lot
of French Fries which were piled highly on the steak.
I missed the old charred Romaine salad.
Two of us had trout---delicious-- and one person had another fish (can't remember which) which he liked.
All in all, for the prices charged at The Bistro, I find that the Village Social has better tasting food and isn't
quite as expensive.
But the service and the ambiance were lovely as usual.
The service was attentive and the fixed price menu had selections for very one. The servings were larger than I expected, but pleasantly so. The food was excellent and an very attractively plated. I would definitely recommend dining here and I am sure that I will again in the future.
Enjoyed the food, service was good. Would go back.
Very lovely evening at the Bistro. It was my first time and I was totally satisfied! My friend's first time to the Biltmore - and we were both pleased. Perfect two person table off in quiet corner for extended visiting and the food was superb! Every morsel delicious! Our waitress was exceptional.
Anniversary weekend. Great service and food
You sent notice that we missed our
Reservation last night 7/27/2029. We DID indeed eat at the Bistro. And checked in at the podium. This actually happened to me before at The Village Social at the Biltmore. Please credit my points. Thanks! Jeanne Harbert
I love the am fiance of The Bistro! Comfortable and so easy to converse and relax! The service was stellar! Bobby made us feel welcome, answered all questions and he made sure all of us had what we needed. Very congenial. The food was good with my only issue being that my salmon was not cooked to order. It was close enough so I still enjoyed it. But I would have given 5 stars had it been prepared to my specifications. But, that small detail will not keep me away from this restaurant! It remains one of my favorites on the estate! Very enjoyable!
Great place to eat before or after a House tour . My risotto was outstanding and my husband enjoyed his pizza . An easy place to bring a group and kids were very welcome. The outdoor seating was nice though we missed the last shady table we enjoyed eating inside with a view of the open kitchen
Seems like an over-priced Panera. Wife and I had the Prix Fixe menu - Soup, Turkey Sandwich, Cheesecake and Calamari, Turkey Sandwich and Creme Brulee. The soup of the day was Tomato and wife said it was "ok", nothing special. The turkey sandwiches were standard, but the big issue was they just put a lump of sliced turkey in the center - there was a good inch or more on each side that was just empty. They should have spread it out better. The interpretation of cheese cake was different - it could have been better though. There was a cylinder of the "fluff" part with blueberries and whipped cream, and that tasted good, but what they sprinkled on the side that was supposed to be the crust tasted like corn bread and there appeared to be items that were corn nuts there as well. That part was not very tasty. The Creme Brulee was the star of the evening, it was creamy and tasty and had a nice crisp glaze on top.
A wonderful stop during our recent vacation at Biltmore. Prices are more than I typically pay for food but it is at a luxury place and expected. Wonderful place!
Wonderful meal as always! A new chef came on board in June and with him a few menu changes. We would have been happy to choose one of each from the dessert menu! What we did choose were fabulous! Our server, Krystal was the best! She explained the menu in detail, was very attentive, nothing was too much trouble and the service she provided us with was seemless and excellent. We are never disappointed at The Bistro!
Dinner was excellent and the waitress won points from us by asking us how we'd like to pace the meal. We enjoyed the bone-in-fillet and trout. The sides were terrific. Great choice.
Food quality could be better
Had the Ribeye and it was really good. Wife had the trout and loved it. Daughter had the chicken breast and liked all but the beans that came with the dish
Anniversary dinner success! Great food and service.
I love the food and service was great a bit of a long ticket time between courses! Plus really didn’t like the fact I had to purchase a ticket to the Biltmore house to enjoy this place.
Had a friend in from London..and we decided to eat at The Bistro. Selection was great, food served hot and service was excellent!
Server was excellent. Shrimp over cooked. Chef should grill shrimp not sauté for a salad topper.
Nice place! Good menu options! Service was great. We had an 8:30 reservation. By the time we finished eating and were ready for dessert, we were the only one in the restaurant. Staff was cleaning up. Felt awkward ordering dessert but our waitress was excellent and did not rush service.
Food was too fancy to be any good if that makes sense.
The food was good but not great and wasn't very noteworthy. It took a long time to get our food. The worst part was our server - he was very inattentive. He never asked us if our food was ok and he was quite gruff. We seemed to be putting him out to have to wait on us. We had enjoyed a wonderful day at the Biltmore Estate - until our dinner at The Bistro - it was a real downer.
