Although we were unable to give the staff advance notice about my husband’s birthday, they were able to still give him a special dessert. Our server, Elaina was fantastic! As always, the food was superb. It was wonderful to be back at the Bistro after over a year away!
Wonderful evening!!!
Love this restaurant but a bit disappointed in the food this visit. Cheese plate came with bread instead of crackers and was lackluster. Chicken in salad was very overdone. The blueberry cheesecake however made up for everything as it was outstanding! Hope they keep on dessert menu!
A decent dining option at the Biltmore. Service was great- food arrived quickly. The food was ok in flavor, but overpriced for the quality of the food.
We always love going to the Bistro and Winery. It was our 50th anniversary and they had a lovely booth for us.
As always. Menu options were great. French onion soup a must. Prepared perfectly. Service awesome. The cheesecake superb.
Great food! Great service! Love the atmosphere! I can’t say enough how much I love this restaurant! We always eat here when in Asheville. It’s perfect for a date night, get together with girlfriends or family time. I have small children and the kids menu is the best! Elaina was our waitress twice now and she is the best!! Love love love!
I usually love the Bistro. I look forward to dining there every time we go to the Biltmore. This time I was very disappointed. The waitress forgot our salads and our dinner was brought first. We told her to just bring one since the dinner was already there. It had no flavor at all. It was like spring greens with olive oil on it. My dinner of the steak Frites was very average in both flavor and presentation. My husband had the lamb and loved it, however. So that was a bonus. Hopefully the next time we go I will love it like I usually do!
We had another wonderful dinner at the bistro. We had a great waitress and we were very pleased with our service. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. This is definitely a great place for a special occasion. It is a little pricey.
Outstanding meal for Easter Sunday and Bobby provided impeccable service. Rack of lamb on the menu made my day !
We went to the bistro for Easter. The service was great but our salmon was undercooked. Mine was sent back and I received a new piece of salmon. Now it was over cooked. I have never had any complaints about our food and we’ve been here many times. But the manager and our waitress were great. We were given a complimentary meal which was greatly appreciated. We will be back but I’m not sure I’d order the salmon.
excellent service with Brandi (?)
Easter lunch was exactly what we had hoped it would be
Amazing food, and great service! I am definitely coming back for a special dinner date with my wife.
Enjoyable but nothing special, nice after a long day sightseeing.
Service was slow but friendly. Food was bland and expensive for what it was.
For a $100+ per person meal I really expected more. If it had been $40 per person I might have felt better about the overall experience. I had the steak frites. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Way too many fries! And I thought it was overly salty. We started off with the French Onion Soup. Again...it was good, but there was nothing distinctive or special about it...maybe a couple chopped chives on top...just something to make it feel like it was more deserving of the price. We had the creme brulee for dessert and there was a special added tart atop that which made it for more unique. The ambience might have been affected by COVID restrictions although that should effect the wall decor and I just didn't find it very French bisto-esque.
Overall we had a very good evening. Our server Joie(or Joey not sure of spelling) was excellent and took very good care of us. I started with a savory meat and mushroom soup that was very good. I shared a bit of it with my wife who agreed with me on it and she really doesn't normally care for anything associate with mushrooms. She had the Wood-Fired Chicken and the dish was great. It's a large portion and could easily be shareable for lighter appetites. My wife took some back to the hotel for later. I had the trout and it was quite good. My wife had a Creme Brulee for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Black Forest cake and didn't care for it at all. I found the description misleading( a layer approximately the thickness of the edge of a butter knife doesn't warrant being called Chocolate Ice Cream in my world) and the cake itself to be dry. Beware of that one. Overall we had a very good meal, with well above average service from everyone we came into contact with.
We based our reservation on their website which showed the entrees for the day; however it was totally different than what was listed. The food was ordinary and bland.
Ate lunch and dinner at the Bistro and both times everything was amazing
My filet mignon was cooked perfectly, exactly to the temperature I requested.
Menu needs some updating. Choices were not that impressive for the price. Food was good, however menu needs additional choices and more variety.
great service and nice menu - good value. Nice selection of wine and full bar
We have always had a great time at The Bistro and this time was no exception. From start to finish, the service, food and atmosphere at The Bistro is superb. Our evening was epic for many reasons, including our server, Bobby, who once again was exceptional in his advice, information and service. The food was phenomenal and we dined for well over two hours. There is a reason the The Bistro is our favorite spot to dine on the Biltmore Estate ~ they simply elevate their experience to a higher level!
Great service and great food!!!
Jill was wonderful! We had an fantastic time dining at the Bistro. The food was amazing. They made every effort to accommodate me being gluten free and even had toasted gf bread at the beginning of the meal!! Everything perfectly cooked and dressed. Thank you!!
Filet mignon and skirt steak were perfectly seasoned, perfect temperature and the best filet mignon ever. Whoever the meat chef was the night of our visit he was excellent! Jill our server was also excellent, cordial, attentive, and professional! Great night could not have been better!
Always good food and great service with gorgeous surroundings inside and out.
Food was good. Brie appetizer was delicious. Muscles were excellent! A little pricey but not out of line for what they were offering.
Just seemed like the service was a little rusty, got her appetizer salad and Milo all at the same time. Will definitely go back they just need to get the kinks worked out
The service was great; the waiter was well informed and helpful.
Awesome place. Service was outstanding and food is fantastic.
The staff, cooks seemed unprepared for diners. Rack of lamb was ordered medium and it came out super rare.
Their first night reopening! Great job; Brie appetizer and filet mug in were delicious, as were my scallops. Really enjoyed it
Amazing atmosphere. We had a wonderful waitress. The food is so delicious. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Especially great for a romantic dinner. We will definitely be coming here again.
Awesome! Food was perfect, enjoyed a lovely wine flight and great conversation and service!
Our waitress was knowledgeable about the food and was quick to get what we asked for. The food was prepared well and tasty. We will be back and hopefully, some of the dishes will still be on the menu to enjoy again.
Quiet atmosphere, great service and food was good... nothing exceptional but a nice evening out. Pricing is high, but everything within the Biltmore grounds appears to be over priced!
We came to see the Biltmore lights and let our waitress know we had a time constraint. We asked about the cheese selection then she disappeared for a while. It took a bit to pay as well so we almost missed our house reservation.
The flatbread was extremely bland, the jams on the cheese plate were very overpowering. French onion soup was great as were the cheese and honey.
A very enjoyable dinner at the Bistro.
We had a lovely anniversary meal. Safe, distanced and delicious. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. Overall, it was a perfect way to celebrate 15 years of marriage.
