The Bistro - Biltmore Estate
The Bistro features contemporary American fare. Fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients are the focus on the dinner menu, which features premium steaks, impeccable mountain trout and seafood, poultry and lamb. Chef Daniel Polk creates contemporary bistro-inspired recipes featuring estate–raised products and locally grown produce. Gardens on the estate produce a wide array of vegetables and fruits throughout the seasons, and our extensive pasture lands provide all-natural, hormone-free Black Angus beef and lamb.

10 year wedding anniversary dinner
Dining with my sister during a short staycation. The restaurant was cozy with a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The food was very good, especially the sweet potato poblano soup, yum!
Enjoyed everything! Service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Good portion size. Couldn’t finish everything, so couldn’t get dessert😒
Had a late lunch/early dinner while visiting the Biltmore
Birthday celebration before candlelight tour of the Biltmore home
Nice quiet place for dinner. Food was great.
First time here and we loved it! Great service and exceptional food. Thank you!
Food Pecan Trout Amazing.Service outstanding. Front desk Lacking. Need experienced Manager checking on Guest. Not Teens making decisions and chating with each other.
A perfect ending to our visit to the Biltmore. The food was delicious (especially the French Onion Soup!); however the desserts weren’t up to the level of the appetizers and entrees. All in all, an enjoyable experience.
The food and wine was excellent. Our service was great. ❤️❤️ pumpkin cheesecake
We always eat at the Bistro during every visit to the Biltmore. It is our favorite restaurant on the estate. The food is delicious and one of our favorites is the French onion soup. The staff are always so friendly and very efficient. There is a particular area that we like to sit in and we always get seated there. If we are visiting the estate on our anniversary, we are presented with a beautiful plate of chocolate truffles with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. What a special way to show their good wishes. I always buy my olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the restaurant as well. They wrap both up very nicely to prevent breakage. It is the BEST. Thank you staff for always making our dining experience so nice and memorable. We will see you again.
This was an excellent meal at a great restaurant. Portion sizes were perfect - not too big, not too small. Flavors were excellent, definitely high quality food. The bread and dipping oil were a bit disappointing; the bread tasted like it had dough conditioners, etc in it. Our waiter was very good, attentive and informative but not hovering. Definitely would return.
One of our favorite restaurants on the Biltmore Estate. Definitely try the French Ion Soup.
The Bistro never disappoints!
We had an outstanding meal once again. The Roasted Red Pepper soup of the day was unique and delicious. I then had a beautiful halibut filet that was cooked perfectly. My husband had a steak served with Parmesan truffle fries - that was amazing. We will definitely return!
We had the pecan crusted trout and the bouillabaisse and both were fresh and delicious, but the trout won hands down. The fried oyster starter was also a hit, a generous serving and nice touch and twist with the bed of creamed spinach they were served on.
The Bistro is a good option if you don’t want to leave the estate for lunch or dinner. We had the vegan Paella. Not bad. Not great. The service was fast and efficient. I think $24 for some rice and greens is a little much but I guess I paid for convenience.
One of our guests had to send her dinner because it was cold. My halibut was a very small portion (4 oz?) not worth the $40 dollars. Our last visit to Cedric's was equally disappointing as far as price and quantity. We hope Chef DeMarco and management can improve these issues. We are also long time pass holders
Warmth and nourishment after I very chilly Christmas Tree Raising! Service was wonderful, food was average and noise level was loud.
Went to the Bistro after a day at Biltmore Estate. The ambiance is comfortable, and intimate without being stuffy. Easy to converse with companions and the interior is attractive. Service, was excellent without hovering. Our food....it was amazing!!!! Both of us ordered the pecan crusted trout. It was perfection! Would order that dish again, and will definitely be back to The Bistro!
My husband and I have dined at the Bistro many times and always had a wonderful experience.
The service is always good and we have never been disappointed in our food choices.
Everything was great. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary with a day trip to Biltmore and chose The Bistro for lunch. Glad we made a reservation as it was a busy day! We were seated promptly, our server was great and the food was awesome and actually more than we could eat. We would definitely dine here again!
The trout was fabulous and so was the ambiance. The Bistro is always terrific. It's my favorite restaurant at Biltmore.
Everything was fantastic!! Would highly recommend The Bistro. If we are ever at the Biltmore we will definitely visit the Bistro again!!
Food was mediocre.
We had a great dinner and service was good. We needed to change our reservation time slightly and they were very accomodating.
Ordered filet mignon $44 and it was uneatable. Stringy, tough and fatty. I’m not even sure it was a filet. My husband’s Pork tenderloin was very tough and poorly seasoned. His Brussels sprouts were stale and tough. Very unhappy with the quality of the food which had fine dining prices.
Excellent food and outstanding atmosphere! Food was fresh and prepared to perfection!! We will definitely return on our next visit to the Biltmore. What a wonderful experience!!
The waitress was so kind and attentive and food was delicious!
So slow just like last time we were there. Food pretty good and it’s not the waitresses fault of the kitchen is slow. We arrived at 6:00, ordered by 6:15 and dinner arrived at 7:00. For these prices we expect better.
Very nice restaurant with good value menu and wine list. We tried the fixed price menu which had great choices.
Fantastic food, service, & ambiance! Would definitely come back again!
Date night with my husband! It would have been nice to have oil & basil to dip our bread, however they only gave us oil & vinegar and my husband is allergic to vinegar. The waiter said they did not have basil. I thought that was strange.
Had a wonderful lunch before going through the house.
Nice atmosphere, dinner not up to par for Biltmore standards , had an incident where we were given someone’s leftover buttered bread... that’s uncalled for, they did the best they could to correct it
On a previous visit, we had eaten at the restaurant in The Inn. A lot of hype but the food was really tasteless. We had almost decided to eat at a restaurant off the estate on this visit but decided to try The Bistro. What an excellent surprise. The service and ambiance were great. My filet was a perfectly done medium rare and my wife’s trout was cut thin and cooked crispy. As far as the price/value is concerned, well-remember that the Vanderbilt’s precept was it only costs a little more to go first class. Plan accordingly.
We decided to have dinner here for our 20th anniversary so glad that we did. The trout was some of the freshest fish we have ever eaten service was great. Truly a great dining experience.
The trout was dry and salty. The cauliflower soup was tasteless. Bless their hearts.
Spent our anniversary at Bistro. Staff was extremely pleasant and our waitress found out we were celebrating our anniversary and brought truffles and dessert our meal was very good and their wine was very good. All in all very nice restaurant
Great food. We waited 45 mins for our entrees Too long- but the food was excellent.
Perhaps we were just hungry; however, our meals this time were prepared perfectly (one chose chicken, the other, filet). Especially noteworthy on this visit was the quality of service. We were seated in the far back booth where it was quiet and comfortable. The server, recognizing it was a birthday celebration, treated us to a free birthday dessert plate. One never knows what experience to expect at the Bistro--dining may be average to very enjoyable. This time, for us, it was most enjoyable. Expensive? Can be depending on what you order as evening meals range from $20s to high $40s without beverages.
