Six old friends got together here. Wine is not sold by the glass but by the bottle at about $25 - reasonable - and it was good. The dinners were very good. Three ordered the "drunken noodles" with shrimp and loved it. I ordered the garlic shrimp - also very good. The best meal was the Bershire Pork Porterhouse. It was oredered medium rare and was perfect. Thick and juicy and delicious. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
I've been going to the Bistro for 20 years. Very dependable place to go. Always great all the way around.
It was really good. The service and food were excellent
The food is awesome & waiter was very good but the host / manager could be more friendly & smile
Never a disappointment. Brought my niece who was visiting from out of state. Travis was our waiter. We shared the duck salad (so glad this is back on the menu!) as an appetizer, and ordered lo mein, the salmon special and a burger. All were excellent.
Having dined at some of the top restaurants in NYC, there are few restaurants I would rate "outstanding". Wish OpenTable had an option for "excellent" as Bistro certainly qualifies.
First time her3. Food was good. Will return.
Bistro never disappoints. This is my go to spot for any sort of meetings or night out type events. The food is always top notch and so is their service.
We had a nice dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday. We all enjoyed our meals and especially the Crackling Calamari Salad.
My husband and I go and love there calamari salad and we add grilled shrimp!!! A must!!!
Great food. Bread is amazing and it’s carries over to the pizza
BYOB. We had the prix fixe menu, available two days a week. Good options, and generous portions. Noise level was a bit higher than usual due to a large group celebrating at another table. Good in summer for outdoor dining and people watching.
We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation time and we were seated promptly. The service and the food were very good, especially the fish stew which was a special that night.
This is one of my favorite places! Great food and it’s BYOB.
Food was good. Like the eclectic type of food. Service was good.
Meal came out before we finished our appetizer. We were rushed and there were plenty of tables open. Was not worth the price.
We have eaten at both The Bistro and their sister restaurant, Teak, on at least half a dozen times and have never been disappointed. I would say that last Saturday, the Bistro, seemed just a little off from their usual fine service to go with the fine food. Water glasses go empty and no one stops back to check on you is a little sign of concern. The food was great. Amongst the many choices in Red Bank, restaurants need to be at their best to keep even.
Food only mediocre and atmosphere not the best. Ok for a work dinner but not something special
Didn’t realize it was BYO. Luckily they had a few bottles available for purchase. Good food!
My wife and I have been coming here for the past 10 years and have never been disappointed!
The bistro is our go to place. The menu is so diverse it works for our very picky family. And we always ask for Ryan for our server. He’s the best!!!
Good and service very good.
although there was a limited menu for NYE(from their regular dinner menu) the waiter and staff made a special effort to make something for my younger daughter who has a peanut allergy and somewhat limited diet. Very pleased. Also one of the few restaurant that sells some alcohol beverages(wine) that also lets their customers bring their own . plan on visiting again in the future.
Had a nice Christmas Eve dinner. Good food and good service! Love that they are BYOB
As always, excellent food and service. Our favorite Red Bank restaurant for many years!
I ordered the calamari salad. It had a substantial amount of calamari and a large amount of mixed greens. My only complaint was that it was overdressed with the lime dressing. After a while, the acidity of the dressing began to hurt my mouth. Another person in our party ordered the Peking duck salad, which was very good but also overdressed. I would order a salad again, but would definitely request it lightly dressed or dressing on the side next time.
My daughters pasta Bolognesewas delicious
My short rib was good, however they put some cold sauce on top and the cavatelli was crunchy
Yuppie Menu with not enough everyday type food. Very expensive for salads with mostly grass. The food was tasty, but, far overpriced for the value received.
My tempura shrimp appetizer and spicy lobster new california roll were delicious. The peking duck salad left something to be desired, the duck was gamey and lacked flavor. The poke bowl was a big hit, but the bistro burger was nothing special for the price.
The shrimp appetizer is delicious! All 4 of us enjoyed our dishes. The edamame ravioli got a high score.
Miss the Bau buns!
Three guys had three different meals and all were excellent. One friend had the spicy shrimp and nothing was left. Another had the angel hair with tomato and basil, too much for him to finish and I had a great burger. Sat down at 6, out by 7,concert at Basie 7:30.
Great food and service!
Flawless from beginning to end. Service was impeccable. Bolognese sauce was phenomenal!
Four of us went to the Bistro for dinner and we were all satisfied with our meals. We will return.
Our meals were really good and the service was excellent, the manager seems to run with a chip in his shoulders all the time, but outside of that nice experience. It is a good BYOB option in Red Bank. We highly recommend to make a reservation as it does get crowded.
Very pretty restaurant with a nice indoor/outdoor vibe at the front. We were seated near the rear where we could watch the sushi and pizza dough being prepared. Great service, bread, and sushi. I had the chicken vodka pizza, which was dry and a bit bland, but the ingredients seemed very fresh and it was cooked well. My wife had one of the house rolls and some sushi, which she said was really good. BYOB is a nice option as well.
Great! Too hot inside and had to wait about thirty minutes for our reservation.
We have been here a number of times and the service is consistently poor with half of the staff. The food is generally good and is a BYOB, so really try to like the place. Unfortunately, the wait staff and management seems confused about who has what table or section. This time, the manager was at the front door on his phone after asking twice for service of opening our wine and taking our dinner order.
Crackling calamari salad is a must! Dinner is always good here - and BYOB!
This has been one of our favorite places to go in red bank. But how could they remove the Lobster Crepe from the menu??! A bunch of us living the same block in Little Silver all love the Bistro, and the lobster crepe is possibly the best thing on the menu that we all talk about. I took my visiting brother to dinner raving about the place and the lobster crepe appy and was shocked its gone. :( Bring it back please.
Great food and great service! Sushi was excellent . It’s BYOB!
Red bank bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in red bank. My husband enjoys the surf and turf roll - we enjoy the atmosphere and food and service is great - highly recommend
