Very enjoyable evening before a show. Attentive staff, good food, fairly priced.
One of my favorite restaurants in Red Bank. Great food!
The service was great. The food was fair. The steak special was awful and definitely not worth $34.00 the steak was tough. The rest of the food we received was not up to the standards of this restaurant. We use to eat their many times in the past. Since we have tickets to the Count Basie theatre, we though it would be great to take our family there.
Always an excellent choice! I was a little disappointed that the chef changed the preparation of salmon, which has long been my favorite of any local restaurants. But, I tried the new preparation, and although different, was just as good as always! I loved it! Service was great and the atmosphere is cozy. We very much enjoyed everything!
Good food nice variety. Great service good value for your money!
This place has been around from the very beginning of the Red Bank Revival.....service and food are always good....salads and sushi are great.....Nice casual atmosphere 👍
The service was fantastic, thank you. The entire staff was super attentive and friendly - much appreciated in a BYOB setting.
This last visit to the Bistro was mediocre. The waiter was not attentive. Forgot to ask what we wanted to drink, and he did not come over to tell us why our dinners were taking so long. We had very simple dinners, chicken milanese and the gnocchi special. The shrimp bisque, octopus appetizer and gnocchi were all very good. The chicken was very dry in the chicken milanese. The mixed berry crumble had more peaches in it than berries. The only berry in it was blueberries. We were not disappointed at all our last time there so this was what we didn't expect.
Great selection of different types of food. There is something for everyone. Speed of service was above and beyond.
Wonderful service and great food. Ive been there 6-7 times and it's always good, lunch and dinner.
A friend at work recomended Bistro and I was not disappointed. Great service and delicious food.
We had lunch in this restaurant. Very enjoyable. Service good. Food was good byob. We will come back.
Great food and variety. We were not aware of wine license restrictions so that is something people should be made aware of. Other than that great food and value.
I haven’t been to the Bistro in a long time! It didn’t disappoint. Between my husband and I, we had the pumpkin apple soup, grilled octopus appetizer, sushi and cracklin calamari salad. All delicious. The only thing that was disappointing was the bread pudding dessert. It was a little mushy. Would go back and would recommend. For my husband to say he’d go back is a big deal!!
the restaurant was very accommodating for my husband who is handicapped.
My favorite restaurant in Red Bank. Great food and great prices.
My friend took me here for my birthday during restaurant week - really great value for $35. LOVED the edamame ravioli!
Another great experience. The menu was recently updated. If you are a fan of salad greens, don't miss the chicken milanese. My husband and I shared the duck salad (always a hit) and he had the grilled garlic shrimp with black fettuccini (never disappoints). Travis did a wonderful job as always.
Our server was terrific as it was a business lunch and sometimes difficult to gauge when to approach the table. Sushi was delicious. It was the perfect place to have lunch and I would definitely recommend it to other people.
Slow night and service was very slow.... not very attentive. We weren’t demanding... service just lacked.
Seating was a bit too close to other guests. Noise level was very loud!
We met out of town friends here for dinner. It was great!
Sushi was very good & rigatoni bolognese was delicious.
Service was wonderful and it's a byo.
never a bad time here, never a bad meal, great BYOB option as well
Server not welcoming. We had to ask his name. Asked for water several times. Server not aware of specials running out til after placing order. 1st course salad. Just ok. $34 rib eye ordered medium rare. Came out medium in the middle but outside border line burnt. Very tuff. The oddest part of the experience is when you bring a white wine they offer a bucket of ice. They put the wine in the bucket on the floor next to our table. A bit unsanitary. We won’t be going back to soon.
Too noisy. Tables too close together and you can hear the person next to you conversation. Poor main meal menu options.
Menu diverse to satisfy anyone’s tastes
Only issue is getting your burger cooked the way you request. Tendency to over cook.
Been going for years and would and will come back!
Pretty good food and ambiance. Service was excellent. Portions were larger than I expected, though. Did not realize it is BYOB. Since they served NJ wines, had my first NJ wine, a Pinot Grigio.
Great and creative food, service, and atmosphere - as usual. Prix fixe menu is a bargain, and all the dishes exceeded my guests' expectations. Melanie provided great service, and the old brick atmosphere is just wonderful. Portions are very large. Rigatoni bolognese is to die for, as always. Asian Cesar salad is terrific. Giant pork chop w/fresh roasted peach sauce was absolutely perfect. Wonderful restaurant that shows great creativity, quality, and care. BYOB is also a plus - didn't think of trying the limited NJ wines they offer.
Excellent service-attentive,but not rushed or overbearing. Lively, casual atmosphere. Generous portions, but some sauces were a little sweet for our tastes, eg.thise on fried calamari and short rib. Haddock special was very well prepared.
Delicious! Great food, professional service and in the heart of red bank.
Never a bad meal here. Everything is always great!
Lousy food. Will never go back.
It was good, not great but good. Service was decent but server never introduced herself just said hello and took our order. Food was good.
Always great service! Food was delicious. Calamari Salad is always 10/10 Staple restaurant in Red Bank!
Delicious and interesting food selections done very well. Generous portions. Serves NJ wine only. You can also BYO. I will know that for next time.
Great sushi and halibut! Keep the watermelon radish around please! Quick and friendly service!
We have been regulars at Bistro for years and never had a bad experience. We arrived for our 6:30 reservation 15 minutes early. I requested our regular waiter in advance and a 4 top table (if available) in advance. We got neither. The front doors were open, the AC did not seem to be working, and they sat us upstairs against a wall where the heat and humidity were oppressive. We decided to leave when I saw our usual waiter (Travis), and he managed to get us a table closer to the front where there was some air coming in. Other than Travis, the service and food were not as good as usual. Our salad came without plates or serving utensils. The french fries were cooked, but limp from not being drained well. Both my husband and I ordered the pork rib entree special which was delicious. We will be back as this experience was an exception, not the norm.
The waitstaff is exceptional here. I have not been more welcomed and serviced this well in a very long time. Fish & Chips lunch portion was small but tasty.
They have changed the menu - no more angel hair pasta!
The steak was just okay.
