The Bistro at Marshdale Ratings and Reviews
Old lodge type structure with great character and style. My wife had the duck confit and loved it. I had the lobster which was a good choice. It is not a large restaurant but is cozy and comfortable. There was a gentleman playing the piano and that was a nice background.
We had such a wonderful experience, I had to share. I made reservations for our 1st Anniversary, it fell on a Sunday and that afternoon we decided to go out. I mentioned on my Opentable reservation that we were celebrating a special occasion, and to my surprise when we arrived they had a table prepared with fresh rose petals scattered. It was so sweet and they really made our night so special with all of the small touches. The staff who came by wished us a Happy Anniversary, even the bartender when we were on our way out. The food was equally great as the service. We both enjoyed our wine selections, we shared the ricotta dumplings (which I highly recommend) we ordered the rib eye and the seafood pasta, both were excellent. The portions were generous, we brought half home to save room for dessert and OMG the bread pudding! SO GOOD! Thank you Bistro, we can't wait to go back!!
Going to The Bistro at Marshdale was like a vacation. Beautiful drive through the foothills and authentic log lodge with lovely ambiance.
The views from the patios of Mt Evans and a valley are scenic.
Nice friendly service. Good brunch food. Coffee refilled happily.
Perused happy hour menu but wasn't happy enough to come back for that. Great dinner and special occasion
This was my second visit. The first time was in January 2017. I had the forest mushroom omelette with mozzarella, avocado and a grilled tomato, and it was excellent. The homemade raisin bread was warm and delicious.
My husband enjoyed a smoked salmon omelette, and our friend had the special - crab omelette. The staff were attentive, but also left us to chat after our meal without feeling rushed.
OMG! My fav meal in ages! I loved Bistro at Marshdale! I made a res asking for a romantic table for our 20 year anniversary. My husband and I had an amazing meal. Had trouble finding it at first. It is a house basically in the woods. We sat on this private porch that was very quiet and secluded. In the main dining room was a pianist so that was a nice added touch to have music playing and coming through from the other room. Our server was so great! Right after we sat down, someone came to sprinkle rose petals on the table. For an app, we split the Buffalo meatballs with Kimchee and they were amazing. My husband said he should have gotten a larger version as his meal. For entrees, he got the pasta bolognese and raved over it and I got the wild Alaskan Halibut with vegetables and sweet potatoes. I am still dreaming of my meal! Perfection! We got the creme brulee to finish off the meal and they gave us a cute little box of truffles with a nice note attached. I may go back to Evergreen JUST to go back to Bistro at Marshdale! The best!
Great service on our anniversary couldn't compete with way oversalted food. From our delicious cheese soup that was only a bit less salty than what the oysters had marinated in to a New York steak that should have been half the price it was both for quality of meat and the salty rub overwhelming anything else.
Wine way over priced as well. We love this setting and ambiance! Really a treat for the Front Range, but this our 3rd visit was not good
Awesome experience. My wife and I enjoyed a romantic, quiet dinner! Service by KC was top notch, very helpful, just enough attention to our table without being intrusive. Each course was served at very nice pace and each plate looked as good as it tasted. Highly recommended!
We were in Denver for business and decided to take a drive out of the city and enjoy dinner in the mountains. The ambiance was great with a cozy, lodge atmosphere. The menu had a variety of choices to choose from. Between the three of us, we ordered the buffalo ribeye and the filet which were all very tasteful and cooked appropriately. The staff was amazing, very friendly and responsive. There were two large parties being held during our time at the restaurant and we were still tended to as if we were the only ones there. We would definitely recommend The Bistro at Marshdale for a great dining experience.
I live in Evergreen and this is my favorite local restaurant for a birthday or anniversary. Very rustic and romantic. The food is always wonderful with some Colorado elk or Bison options, but it also has lighter chicken and fish dishes and some vegetarian options. One of our daughters always gets the pot roast and the other a pasta dish. I'm a fan of the brussel sprouts, beet salad, kim chi meatballs and the incredible bread pudding (the chocolate moose is also wonderful).
I do have to say I was disappointed in this dining experience. Our steaks were over done and very overpriced, however service was very attentive. Piano player was very talented, but didn't know the first four songs we requested which are commonly played in piano bars! We probably will not return.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal with an old school friend who moved to Conifer 43 years ago.
Bags of atmosphere, old world charm from the 1900's.
Everything about the food and ambience was spot on. The food absolutely delicious.
The staff were informative, friendly and really looked after us.
Highly recommended - very popular so suggest you book so as not to be disappointed.
