The Bistro at Gervasi Vineyard Ratings and Reviews
Great destination restaurant, they have overnight accommodation too, just book in advance. Great comfort food and a varied menu. Christmas time the restaurant and area around the restaurant is very festive and beautifully done. We had a great meal and a good time overall
We are Canton natives, and ashamedly this was our first visit to The Bistro at Gervasi Vineyards. We were so pleased with the service, ambiance, and of course the mouth watering food we ate! Absolutely delicious! I would quickly recommend this restaurant to anyone! It is kid friendly, and the place is beautiful at Christmas time!
Gervasi's is our place to dine for special occasions. This past Saturday we celebrate our daughter's birthday. As always Gervasi's did not disappoint. The service was awesome and the food delicious. We did order dessert, and along with our wonderful tiramisu came a "Happy Birthday" dessert. What a beautiful touch.
Very charming place including small shops to browse. Nicely decorated for Christmas - great for special occasion. Our server was terrific with solid knowledge of their wine selection and just the right amount of attentive. Would’ve appreciated a discreet way to know prices for their daily offerings because we wouldn’t have ordered a very expensive steak which didn’t live up to it’s description or price tag. Regular Filet seemed a better value although also was not exceptional. Salads and desserts very good and moderately priced. Will continue visiting for pizza on the patio in summer!
FABULOUS! We were married at Gervasi, which was amazing! We went back to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful atmosphere, fantastic food, yummy wine! Service was spot on...They even gave us a fancy dessert for the occasion :) it will probably become our yearly tradition.
If you think you might want to come here, please don’t hesitate. The service, the quality, the venue, even the landscaping and such was all exceptional. This is a must for any special event such as a birthday or anniversary dinner. A little pricey for some, but trust me it is entirely worth it.
I had requested a table near a fireplace if possible. While i understand that not all requests can be accomodated on this occassion it was possible. It was a sunday afternoon and the bistro was not busy. We arrived and i reminded the hostess of the special request i had made while placing the reservation on line. She stated that a table for three (3) in front of a fireplace was not possible but that we would be near the fireplace. We were seated and noticed that a large table for six (6) or seven (7) had only two (2) people at and was directly in front of the fireplace. There was also another large table in front of the fireplace that had no one at it. My husband asked at the hostess desk if it would be possible to move to the larger table and we were told no as that table had been reserved for a party of six (6). There were other multiple vacant tables that could accomodate a party of six (6). The hostess informed my husband that the couple seated at the large table had also asked to be moved and seemed irritated with the situation. After much discussion we were finally moved to the larger table. We dined for approximately one and a half (1 1/2 ) hours and spent a substantial amount of money for just lunch. While we were dining the couple at the larger table left leaving that table an option for the party of six (6). At no point the entire time we were there was there ever a party of six (6) people. Again, i understand that every request cannot be accomodated especially on a busy friday or saturday night but a slow sunday afternoon shouldn't have been an issue. We very much enjoy the bistro and honestly this is the first issue we have ever had. I hope our future dining experiences are more enjoyable.
Beautiful dining. Cozy. Quite. Perfect atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. The service was top notch. Jess answered all of our questions, was friendly, definitely added great value to our dinner. The food was prepared perfectly from appetizer to dessert. Incredible flavor. From my wife and I, thank you for a wonderful evening . We will definitely visit again.
Love this restaurant! We took our daughter and son-in-law for an anniversary dinner. It was their first time and they loved it too. Our waiter was Dan and he was awesome! At the end of the dinner, he even brought out a surprise anniversary dessert. Beautiful building and delicious food! Kid friendly too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and we will be coming back soon.
Our first visit to Gervasi's Bistro on a November afternoon exceeded all expectations. The 3-level dining area was warm and inviting. The food was simply delicious and the atmosphere, enchanting. A quick tour of the vineyards, grounds, gift shop, outdoor pavilion, conference center and villas left us very Impressed, eager to return to see and experience more.
First visit here. Made reservations as it was a weekend night. Very elegant but cozy surroundings. A little chili by a drafty window. Waiter said it was once a barn, but it’s decorated very charmingly Knowledgeable waiter. A bit overwhelming at first with all to chose from. Wanted one of everything. Delicious food. Recommend for a romantic evening or a family outing. Not recommend for young children
We enjoyed the Bistro as part of a weekend getaway. Previously, we had always been seated upstairs, but this experience was in the cozy wine cellar area. We were early for our reservation and just hoped to enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, but the hostess seated us. Our waitress, Stacy, was one of the best servers we have ever had in any fine restaurant. Her knowledge of the menu, familiarity with the wines, enthusiasm, prompt service and sense of humor contributed to a marvelous meal.
The food was really good, the food presentation great and our server Hollie was outstanding. It was a delight to experience her knowledge of the food and wine, but most of all her enthusiasm. She was passionate about the restaurant. Oh, a what a delight to see a great variety of gluten free options that didn’t taste like cardboard. Price were very reasonable, lower than I expected. We will be back soon and often.
My first time at The Bistro. Beet salad was excellent, grouper was just 'okay. Our server was friendly, but the service was sparse and painfully slow. I appreciate not being rushed, but this was the opposite - waited a very reasonable 15 minutes to receive our salads after ordering , then over an hour after we finished our salads to receive our entrees.
