The Bistro at Gervasi Vineyard Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful dining. Cozy. Quite. Perfect atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. The service was top notch. Jess answered all of our questions, was friendly, definitely added great value to our dinner. The food was prepared perfectly from appetizer to dessert. Incredible flavor. From my wife and I, thank you for a wonderful evening . We will definitely visit again.
Love this restaurant! We took our daughter and son-in-law for an anniversary dinner. It was their first time and they loved it too. Our waiter was Dan and he was awesome! At the end of the dinner, he even brought out a surprise anniversary dessert. Beautiful building and delicious food! Kid friendly too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and we will be coming back soon.
Our first visit to Gervasi's Bistro on a November afternoon exceeded all expectations. The 3-level dining area was warm and inviting. The food was simply delicious and the atmosphere, enchanting. A quick tour of the vineyards, grounds, gift shop, outdoor pavilion, conference center and villas left us very Impressed, eager to return to see and experience more.
First visit here. Made reservations as it was a weekend night. Very elegant but cozy surroundings. A little chili by a drafty window. Waiter said it was once a barn, but it’s decorated very charmingly Knowledgeable waiter. A bit overwhelming at first with all to chose from. Wanted one of everything. Delicious food. Recommend for a romantic evening or a family outing. Not recommend for young children
We enjoyed the Bistro as part of a weekend getaway. Previously, we had always been seated upstairs, but this experience was in the cozy wine cellar area. We were early for our reservation and just hoped to enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, but the hostess seated us. Our waitress, Stacy, was one of the best servers we have ever had in any fine restaurant. Her knowledge of the menu, familiarity with the wines, enthusiasm, prompt service and sense of humor contributed to a marvelous meal.
The food was really good, the food presentation great and our server Hollie was outstanding. It was a delight to experience her knowledge of the food and wine, but most of all her enthusiasm. She was passionate about the restaurant. Oh, a what a delight to see a great variety of gluten free options that didn’t taste like cardboard. Price were very reasonable, lower than I expected. We will be back soon and often.
My first time at The Bistro. Beet salad was excellent, grouper was just 'okay. Our server was friendly, but the service was sparse and painfully slow. I appreciate not being rushed, but this was the opposite - waited a very reasonable 15 minutes to receive our salads after ordering , then over an hour after we finished our salads to receive our entrees.
Although we had reservations we still had to wait upon arrival - Food was excellent, server was excellent. The reception staff not do much - was pretty much treated like I we were inconveniencing Gervasi by coming to dinner. Additionally noticed your wine (although very good) prices keep creeping up.
The ambiance was very good. The food was very good. The service was excellent: Jesse was our waitress! The wine was satisfactory. The staff at the Bistro was excellent.
We were very disappointed, however, with the wine tasting. The young lady did not rinse the glass before each pour, her knowledge of each wine was limited to the notes she had and her personality was bland. I don't think we will ever return to the Crusher House.
The grounds were very appealing although the weather was cold and damp.
Might return to the Bistro some day.
Very good food and nice wine pairings. A fancy place good for a special occasion. Its not cheap but is reasonable with large portions. Our waitress was very good, attentive but not overly so. Only issue was our seating. We had an early reservation on a Saturday so it was not yet crowded. The upper level has fantastic scenery outside from anywhere and had virtually nobody yet seated. We were seated downstairs where there were no windows. Still very nice but...........Clearly they wanted to fill the downstairs first since it was a bit crowded and filled quickly. I should have requested a change but it was still quite nice.
Gervasi has been our favorite place for a while. Once again always an enjoyable dining experience. You can never go wrong with th short ribs. We did try the Sunday dinner lasagna and found it lacking a touch in sauce but still good. We went out for my daughter's 18 birthday (her pick) and they made her feel special and the gelato cakes from Pav's that they serve there are simply delicious.
This was my first visit to Gervasi and I was joined by my spouse and 2 other couples. We arrived for a 6:45 dinner reservation and was promptly seated. We were seated in the basement next to the fireplace which was very cozy and inviting.
The service was outstanding and menu left all of us pondering over several tempting options. Portions were adequate and delicious; I had the shrimp and scallop with homemade pasta which was outstanding.
We would like to visit when we could arrange to stay overnight in one of the villas and have the opportunity to walk the beautiful grounds after dinner.
The food was great, the Bistro and the Vineyard very nice. Its what they say "it takes money to make money". My adult children bless their hearts, made the arrangements for their mother and I to have a 34th anniversary weekend, we stayed in the INN 1/2 mile away. The bistro was great. Thank you for a very good night.
