The Bent Noodle Italian Restaurant and Catering Company Ratings and Reviews
I made the reservation on Open Table. The time options the restaurant had was perfect for us. We chose 630PM. I checked in @ 520PM. We weren't seated until 7PM. Reservations doesn't matter. They take first come first basis apparently anyway. I have never waited more than five minutes when reserving with open table.
The food has still not met the level of the previous ownership. Nice that they have pizza now, but the tomato sauce doesn't have much spice although the toppings and cheese are good. The wait staff still seems to be rushing us out even thought they're not that busy. But the problems are not enough to not recommend this restaurant.
The place is really dated and in need of some improvements. It is dark and dingy. Second time eating there, had a $18 for $30 deal. When went first time would not let us use it because Vet. Day and can't use on gov't holiday's. But at that time waiter told us about half priced pizza on Monday's. When we got there place was empty and got a seat and given menus. Nothing about pizza special anywhere so asked the waitress and she said there was a special and brought us a pizza special menu. If we didn't know and ask would have never found out. Why wouldn't they give you the special menu when you first arrive, had to ask for it. Also has Fettuccine Alfredo with the pizza. The Fet Alfredo was totally tasteless. It is crazy to charge $16 for this. Don't they taste their own stuff? Absolutely no flavor at all. We got the pizza with sausage, mushrooms and pepperoni. The condiments were so few and far between you could not taste them. We did ask for extra cheese, I think they charge more but that is okay. I have to say the pizza was one of the best I have had out here in the 30 years since I moved from NY to CO. It was crispy on the bottom where most places give you crappy soft doughy pizza. I will go again on a Monday night for the pizza special but that is it. First time we went and I had lasagna, was not very good. So went once on a Sat. night and this time on a Monday and both times the place was empty. How does this place stay open? Drove by it last night and parking lot was empty again. I know it has been there for ages but from recent experiences not sure how they stay open unless do a lot of catering and have big lunch trade.
Took 7-yr-old to celebrate his birthday. The staff put in his order quickly as it was past his dinnertime; the cheese pizza from the kid's menu was HUGE and kept him occupied. Daughter ate Aglio E Olio which I can only presume was tasty since she polished it off before I had a chance to ask for a bite. My Salmon Ripiene was excellent, with generous portions. We selected panna cotta as a birthday surprise, which arrived with a flourish and a candle and was quickly decimated between the 3 of us. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the excellent service!
We drive 55 miles one way from the Springs, and it's our hot spot for dinner when we come back from the airport!!! Be ready to eat! Some great tasting Itailan food!! Great service and Mother's day brunch was Awesome!! Didn't know they've been in business for 20 years!! Great job!!
