The Bent Noodle Italian Restaurant and Catering Company Ratings and Reviews
Bent Noodle continues to be a favorite of ours. I had the pasta mediterra with salmon and it was delicious. My wife had the prime rib special and it was very good - tender without being fatty. Also, BN has great minestrone soup with sausage. I also noticed that they have expanded their wine list. We will return again soon.
It was once again a great experience after we got seated. Getting there was a bit iffy. We took friends who had never been there and we had issues being seated. Our guests were wondering what type of place we had brought them. The first person after we worked out where we sat was asked a question about the wine and the answer was it was red. He had no other information to give. He evidently was replaced and from then on it was 5 star in all ways. All of us will return soon.
The service was fine & so was the ambiance but the portions were very oversized and very oily. The small Caesar salad was actually about the size of a regular salad and two people could split an entree and still have plenty to take home. The courses were brought out very quickly & because they were so large we couldn't finish them before the next one came out, so our entrees were pretty cold by the time we got to them. It was a bit pricey for thbut quality of food that we got. Though nothing was specifically bad about the service or the food, I probably wouldn't eat here again.
We returned to the area after a few years outside of Denver and returned to a past 'favorite' restaurant, The Bent Noodle. It is still a favorite restaurant! The food is of the same quality and flavors we remembered, to include the new items they have added. The New 'Gabagool' italian sandwich was fantastic; provolone, italian genoa salami pile high and slightly melted was a taste treat for one of the friends. The sausage and peppers appetizer with the Luigi tossed salad was a perfect light, but very satisfying lunch. The italian sausage was spicy, lean and very flavorable, and the accompanying homemade tomato sauce was fantastic. The meatball sandwich was served with the same tomato sauce and the meatballs were large and lean. Our group of friends will return again and bring more friends. The wait staff was excellent, our server Chad S was great at answering the many questions fired at him, and made suggestions for substitutions as requested. There were a couple of large parties today, and when Chad S was busy with them, the other 2 servers (man and woman), made sure to check on our drinks, etc.
We had a very pleasant experience, and the food was great. Always love it when there is balsamic along with the oil for the bread, plus I had a tasty house salad and an entree which was exactly as promised. My wife's shrimp dish was spot on too. Didn't have room for dessert - maybe next time. And BTW, our server was great! We'll be back!
There were 3 of us for dinner. The food once again was great. Service could have been a
little better. We ate outside which may have been the reason since there were never more
than 2 tables being used at any given time.
We'll return as we have been there before and love the food.
Not the restaurant it used to be. I order the lasagne occasionally as it is a treat for me. It was not a treat tonight. The menu says it has Italian sausage in it (the way I always remembered it). Since when does chopped up meatballs qualify as Italian sausage? I also order a small Caesar salad. Unfortunately the small salad was bigger than the plate it was served on and very difficult to eat.
70's music in an Italian restaurant?
I first went to this restaurant in the 1990's and also dined at the sister restaurant (no longer associated) in Centennial and the one thing that the new owners are missing is consistency.
I hope they can make it work because I will really miss it when it is gone.
We made an Open Table reservation for six people for lunch after checking out their website. When we arrived, the only service was a nearly $30 per person buffet ... roughly double my budget!! The buffet wasn't mentioned on their website, and nobody called to inform me about it in advance, so I was extremely disappointed.
We met an inexperienced and unobservant hostess who was somewhat rude. Although our server was friendly, she was slow and inattentive. The food was marginal, maybe of the caliber of an Italian fast food chain or a frozen entree from the supermarket. It most definitely was inauthentic Italian, as opposed to the good quality we'd had there in the past. Perhaps new ownership? The calamari was good but sauce tasted jarred, chicken marsala had a bland brown gravy, and the special, chicken gorgonzola has more Parmesan than gorgonzola. The atmosphere has also deteriorated with Spanish music blaring (not Italian in an Italian restaurant?) and plastic action figures hanging from light fixtures. The plastic flowers and dusty nick-knacks were also unappealing. The bread was OK, but oil and vinegar cruets were sticky and grimy. We used to love this restaurant, although it's been quite a while since we've been. I don't think we'll be back.
We have been going to the Bent Noodle for years although we have not been there recently. We decided to return for a birthday celebration and there has been some obvious changes in management and staff. Fortunately the food had not decreased much in quality.
The service was not up to previous standards and the ambience, specifically related to the background music was terrible. Instead of nice Italian type music consisting of Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc. they were playing rhythmic millennial type tracks that was not easy on the ears.
This is very unfortunate as we had celebrated some very important milestones in our family's life at this restaurant but have no intention of returning. We will be looking for a new Italian restaurant.
Of course we had reservations but unfortunately we were seated in the bar. However the restaurant was much busier than usual...a good sign... Joe who usually busses our table waited on us. He was awesome! We have been coming here for around twenty years and he gave us the best service we've had in years! This place will never disappoint you....did I mention the food is outstanding???!!!
We waited a very long time for bread. I had requested butter when we were told the bread was in the oven; it didn't come with the bread and I had to ask three more times. The bread was cold when the butter finally came. Someone took it back to the warmer, but it barely helped; they should have replaced it. Overall the service was bad, which caused me to not enjoy my meal.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. This time our expectations were disappointed. The chicken was dry and the fettichini alfredo had no alfredo sauce on it. Not sure if this is going to be a regular happening or if this was the exception. We may try it one more time and see how it goes; but not for a while.
Aside from a little flub in bringing a few parts (which was made right with apologies & a free dessert), the entire experience was wonderful. Very flavorful vodka sauce-rich Tuscan pot roast-amazing pasta w/asparagus & chicken piccata were all cooked to perfection & delicious! Honestly, we forget about this place but should definitely put it back in our repertoire because it is delish, quiet & super friendly!
