The Bee's Knees
Traditionally, tapas dishes have been associated with
Spanish cuisine. However at THE BEE"S KNEES, we take a global approach that encompasses various cultures and flavors from around the world. From Thai to Spanish, Cajun to Mediterranean and Japanese to French, we have selected a menu to please the palate.
Our many vegan, vegetarian, poultry and seafood dishes are accented by our extensive selection of
beer, wine, spirits, sake, coffee, and tea.
The name, The Bee's Knees, itself has it's own curious meaning. Taken from 1920's jazz influenced slang,
it refers to the "hip" or the "cool" thing such as "The Cat's Meow".
We encourage sharing!
Took some out of town colleagues for a casual dinner. We shared plates and enjoyed the specials. Great food, quick delivery, filled water glasses. Just enough attention. Will be returning again soon! The chicken nachos are the bomb-digitized!!
Best restaurant in Augusta. Friendly staff, wonderful food and relaxed atmosphere
Unique food that's locally sourced. Great wine list. Best Chocolate Torte I've every had!
Everything was very good except the wait time to get food and drinks. Maybe 10 mins to get our bottle of wine and close to 45 to even get our appetizer. The meal followed very shortly after but the initial wait was very long. Our server was sweet and very attentive and it obviously was a kitchen issue.
Excellent service and food!
Took a client out, service started strong went downhill. Something about big parties backing up the kitchen. Never got all the food we ordered. 2 hours later just asked for check and paid even for the food we didn’t get since we just wanted out. Super cute spot with great tapas, but probably won’t come back and for sure not a spot to take clients to
Loved the flavors of every dish we tried! Service was great!
Thanks for being here!
We’ll be back soon
Food potions have considerably gotten much smaller!! Long time customer here and it’s sad to see... Plan on ordering twice as much as you used to!😩
We had a group of 10 and had wonderful service. The food came out with perfect timing and our table was set with water at each place before we even sat down.
Food is always fab-love they source local farms.
Very nice-we’ll go back. We’re trying to be responsible and not drink and drive-asked for non-alcoholic beer-didn’t have any-said what they use to carry was too expensive. They have many choices now-no excuse not to have that option. Would have been perfect with a way above average Pad Thai dish we had.
Great food and drinks with friends. Had a table of 7 and server em was outstanding. Food came out quickly and was delicious! Certainly will be back!
Yum! The tempeh tacos were fantastic, and you must got for the coconut panang.
This was not my first time visiting the Bees Knees. The food is always good. This time the service was not up to their usual standards. They didn’t seem extra busy but we had to flag down assistance a few times. Still a good place to eat.
This place has a great atmosphere, and the food is good but won't break the budget. It's a great date place, and the tapas style of dining makes for a longer meal and more conversation.I wouldn't call it impressive though. I have been there twice now, and I would say it's definitely just middle of the road as far as the quality of the food. You can find higher quality elsewhere downtown (Frog Hollow, Fuse), but you'll pay more for it.
This is a great place. Very diverse menu. We ordered charcuterie, cheese plate, nachos, pork tacos, pad tai, and panan curry, oh and the steak frites. All sorts of foods! And all were very good. Recommend this restaurant.
Awesome service and great food! Will definitely be back again.
Food was tasty but the restaurant is super loud so it made it very difficult to chat during dinner
Great atmosphere! Great service! The Carpaccio Tuna was excellent, as well as the Avocado Chop!
We have enjoyed The Bee's Knees for the last several years, but even more lately because of the tapas menu. We can order a drink and a few different tapas and it's enough dinner for us without eating too much, and we get to try a few different things! The sweet potato hummus is so good, but our favorite is the egg rolls.
It was great !
It was phenomenal! I enjoyed spending my birthday here and so did all of my guests! I loved the atmosphere, the sweet potato hummus was an amazing appetizer! 10/10 highly recommend
Great to find healthy and creative cooking in the South. Waitress was pleasant but forgetful.
Great tapas. One of my go to spots in Augusta !!!!
Everything was great- except we made orders during the happy hour, but for ever reason the waitress entered our order in a delayed manner and they refused to give us happy hour prices - the waitress acknowledged it was her fault but management refused
The service wasn't terrible but also not great. The food "is meant to be shared" but comes with two eggrolls for the tapas plate. Our "shareable" stir fry also had 6 pieces of chicken maybe a whole chicken breast of meat for two people to share. The atmosphere was loud, the tables were tiny, and we felt rushed the entire time. Pretty awful experience all in all.
Excellent food and service! Our only issue was the member of our party who ordered the entree special (Arctic Char) and it was the last thing brought to the table- much later than everything else we ordered. We understood that the small plates would be brought out as they were ready, but it would have been nice for the timing of the entree to be better. That said, once it was delivered, it was delicious! Fabulous sweet potato hummus, Kimchi rice balls, and fish tacos!
Been here many times over the years and the food was just not good.
Favorite place to eat in Augusta!
This restaurant was quite a refreshing experience! The “tapas” were delectable and the entrees we ordered were tasty as well. We had a carafe of the Sangria and recommend it. Our waiter was friendly and made some recommendations on how to order and he was right! We walked away very satisfied and we’ll definitely return!
David was an excellent waiter.
Food was very good, service was fabulous. Great drink specials.
My wife and I totally loved the place. Good food, great ambiance and wonderful service.
Our waitress was obnoxious, but I’ve never had that experience there before. Usually it’s awesome.
I was hosting an evening business meeting with three out-of-town guests, one of which was from Toronto, Canada. The experience was welcoming and impressive, from the host to the server (who explained what we could expect in great detail) to the overall service to the food.
Service was excellent, food seems to have gone down a little since we last visited. Tasty, but not the "Wow" I'm accustomed to at Bees Knees
We went to the Bee's Knees on July 12th. It was a Friday night at 5:30. We had a fantastic server who took care of us from start to finish. She chatted and made recommendations. She suggested the chocolate torte for dessert and it was fantastic. All the food we had was excellent. We will definitely keep coming back!
