The Bee's Knees
Traditionally, tapas dishes have been associated with
Spanish cuisine. However at THE BEE"S KNEES, we take a global approach that encompasses various cultures and flavors from around the world. From Thai to Spanish, Cajun to Mediterranean and Japanese to French, we have selected a menu to please the palate.
Our many vegan, vegetarian, poultry and seafood dishes are accented by our extensive selection of
beer, wine, spirits, sake, coffee, and tea.
The name, The Bee's Knees, itself has it's own curious meaning. Taken from 1920's jazz influenced slang,
it refers to the "hip" or the "cool" thing such as "The Cat's Meow".
We encourage sharing!
I was hosting an evening business meeting with three out-of-town guests, one of which was from Toronto, Canada. The experience was welcoming and impressive, from the host to the server (who explained what we could expect in great detail) to the overall service to the food.
Service was excellent, food seems to have gone down a little since we last visited. Tasty, but not the "Wow" I'm accustomed to at Bees Knees
We went to the Bee's Knees on July 12th. It was a Friday night at 5:30. We had a fantastic server who took care of us from start to finish. She chatted and made recommendations. She suggested the chocolate torte for dessert and it was fantastic. All the food we had was excellent. We will definitely keep coming back!
Delicious as always. Don't miss martini night! Seafood nachos are a new fave.
All the appetizers were great although one of us ordered them for supper and the other ordered an entree. I specifically asked our waiter to not bring all the appetizers first; to bring all the food at once. Well all the appetizers came first, my friend had 4 appetizers sitting in front of him for over 10 minutes before my entree of Red Snapper, sticky rice and vegetables came to the table “ice cold”.
Small plates were easy to share, service was really quick. They were out of a couple of beers that I would have preferred.
Great food, and atmosphere !
Great atmosphere, excellent food and service, and classic Southern charm. A must for anyone visiting Augusta.
We were surprised by the cider beer being $10, but that’s it!
Over all everything was great considering it was a very busy time just before an event at JB Arena.
The only glitch was that food started coming before drinks that were ordered.
Service was very slow and one item was never delivered. Food was great!
Food was hardly warm. Waited a long time for drinks. Got one incorrect tapas. Overall, the experience was not worth the money. Will not return.
I made reservations for the Bee's Knees for an early celebration of my Daughter's Birthday. We had six people in our party. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly. The service was outstanding.
I thank the staff at Bee's Knees for making this a successful celebration.
Wonderful as always!!
The food was excellent but the portions could have been bigger for the price point.
We in town for our anniversary getaway and this place was perfect. Very cool atmosphere. We split 3 tapas and dessert. Plenty of food. Our server was friendly and kept us happy. Price was good for this quality.
Favorite tapas restaurant! Love the smoked gouda nachos, an all time favorite!
Miss the Riesling wine!
Excellent food, wait staff was a rookie or no one has bothered to train her. Courteous sincere but my wife & me had to do a great deal of coaching.
This is my absolute favorite place to go. Excellent service, food, prices , and the bartenders are absolutely amazing. Drinks come fast and the food is cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.
Bee’s Knees is one of my favorite restaurants. I always love everything about it! It was an awesome choice for Mother’s Day dinner.
One of my favorite restaurants of all times! Always great food and great service.
Decent food. Super slow. Great ambience. I was on a date with my wife and not in a hurry. We enjoyed the time together but canceled our last order because it still hadn’t arrived after about 20min.
We always enjoy our evenings dining at Bees Knees. The variety on the menu is nice and the drink list is extensive.
I met up with some coworkers here this is the first time that it had the food took so long even though half of the restaurant was empty. My waiter was mostly attentive even though he seemed to be on his own to manage so many tables so the initial wait I could take. One member of my party didn’t receive her food until everyone else finished eating which was the Korean pork tacos. The cole slaw should have been on the side but it was made as is, slaw on it. It was returned due the error and no one made a fuss about it. Overall, I love this place and will be returning but maybe not with a party of 5 or more
I think the bigger the group the better!! You can literally order every item on the menu and since they’re all small plates you get to taste so many different dishes. It’s a great experience specially if you are with great company!!! Every single dish we had was delicious. We tried the pad Thai, garlicky shrimp, goat cheese bruschetta, avocado chop chop, chicken and waffles, artichoke and crab dip, egg roll, and stir fry! This was enough to feed four adults and EVERYTHING was delicious and seasoned to perfection!!
Mandy was our server and she was excellent . It was our first time being there and she was patient in explaining things to us and her suggestions on the food were great
Good choice for a casual dining experience. Excellent food and beverages.
Staff friendly. Acoustics in dining alcove made it difficult to hear. Pad Thai was good, but Asian Tacos nothing to write home about. Craft Drink, Chill Pill was tart, but refreshing. I recommend it.
Food was great, server was a bit TOO attentive (i.e. didn't really leave us alone - I think she was new and a bit keen) and the cocktails weren't great - very strong, didn't have the right mixer in my G&T. Nice atmosphere though!
Visiting for Masters weekend. Service was prompt and food was excellent. Was surprised considering it being likely more busy than typical.
Very limited selection on the menu. Three of the four drinks that we order came with three incorrect bourbon. Not impressed with very basic decor as we were forced to sit on wooden folding chairs.
Food was good. Service was friendly but had to wait 1 hour for food after ordering
Food was creative and delicious. The menu is sure to please anyone as the options are plentiful. Very good ingredients and preparation.
Fantastic as always.
Has a young, vibrant vibe but it is pricey. The dishes we had were very well prepared and very good, but expect to spend a lot to be satisfied.
It was great!
We came to The Bee’s Knees during our visit for The Masters and this place was outstanding! It’s a very relaxed vibe, smaller tables, a little noisy but the food was amazing! Between 3 of us we ordered 9 different small plates and every one of them was so good. High ratings for the nachos, rice balls, and fries! Would definitely go back next time I am in Augusta.
Our reservation was during Masters Golf week. A very busy / crowded time in Augusta. This was true for the Bee's Knees as well. Even with every seat taken in the restaurant, our service was quite good: timely, friendly, effective. As visitors from out of town, our servers suggestions were descriptive and helpful. Each of us had a pre-dinner cocktail. Each was unique and each person thought theirs was very tasty. The menu is VERY eclectic (a diverse range of foods and preparations). Initially, I was skeptical of their ability to span this diversity and still deliver quality. However, as the dishes (family style) were presented and tasted, it was clear the chef knew what he/she was doing. It all tasted great. From Tuna Tartare, to the best Egg Rolls I have ever tasted - they were huge, (like a burrito) deep fried, crunchy wraps filled with crunchy fresh veggies. We also had Goat Cheese Bruschetta, Coconut Curry Panang, and Pad Thai. Each was excellent. Nothing was left for the dog... I would highly recommend this relaxed, informal restaurant for anyone visiting Augusta. I am sure those living in Augusta already have it high on their list of favorites.
