   The food was amazing. It was a little tight because the restaurant is small, but not uncomfortable. The service was lacking. The waitress forgot a lot of things. It was no problem at first, but she consistently forgot things the entire time.

   The menu had interesting ingredients with the various dishes. I felt it was a bit ambitious and wasn’t executed successfully. Perhaps simplify the dishes. My chair was broken and received another one but the simply took the broken chair to another table.

   Great Brunch on Mother's Day and great service... Beauty shop has SOOOO many great options to choose from.. Great food, great vibe.. Was a BIT noisy but.. Mother's Day, so.. What can u expect... Pancakes were delish.. Steak and eggs and Fish Club was also great..

   Are you kidding? I LOVE this place. Brunch is the best probs in all of Memphis. Their reg menu is ok but brunch is their jam. Vodka infused mimosas and EVERYTHING on the menu is legit. Ambiance is fun. Servers are great. Make a res tho. It’s popular. Make it now.

    We couldn’t remember the last time we dined here. Halfway though our meal, we regretted not visiting sooner and more. The food was delicious and much you cannot get elsewhere in Memphis. Service was fantastic. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend.

    My husband and I have been coming to The Beauty Shop for 5-6 years now and I have to say my recent visit the day before Mother's Day 2023 was lackluster. The visit prior to this was February 2023 for our first anniversary and the experience was whimsical, I boasted about how the food is superior, so much so that I invited my dear mom and my daughter, who is expecting her 1st child to celebrate Mother's Day early. The ambiance was usual, it was just opening, so not too crowded, and the staff was accommodating and sweet as per usual. The food quality, taste, and temperature were less than appetizing. I was a little embarrassed because I was so proud to have my guest experience what I've had more often than not. Respectfully

    We loved our dining experience at the beauty shop. The food was delicious, the ambience was great and the hairdryer chairs made it fun. We were visiting from the UK and it was a birthday treat for me. We were so glad we chose the beauty shop, it was our favourite eatery in the USA on our trip.

    The Beauty Shop is consistently very good; last night they were clearly having challenges in the kitchen. There was plenty of wait staff but they were held up by the kitchen. The food was still very good, but somethings not hot when they should have been. It was also pretty slow but not ridiculous. Karen Carrier, the owner, was there so she was helping and could see herself what the challenges were.

    First visit to The Beauty Shop. First weekend in Memphis to sightsee. We started at the bar since we were early for our lunch reservation. Great way to start out. The bartender was one of the managers and he was very helpful. When we were seated the service continued to be very good. Our food was excellent. The flavors were rich and the combinations of flavors really were a pleasant surprise. My wife had a salad and the chicken she added to the salad was very tasty. I had fried chicken on a biscuit with sweet chili sauce. We had a great lunch and enjoyed the visit. The only slight disappointment was the gelato we had after the meal. These flavors were fairy bland.

    We waited shortly for our reserved table and luckily once seated we were in booth which sheltered us from some of the noise. It was a very busy night and our server was sweet and the kitchen seemed to really be hustling. Barramundi was good, slightly over salted. The special fish ordered was also salty. 2 of our party enjoyed a scallop, shrimp, and dumpling dish which was reported as very good. The succotash/corn and smashed potato sides were enjoyed by all! We enjoyed our bar beverages and the chocolate meringue pie was outstanding.

    We had a great date night out Thursday at the Beauty Shop. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and specials and made helpful suggestions. We started with the Tuna Agua Chile, which was well seasoned and not too spicy. DH had the steak frites, the filet was well seasoned and properly cooked, but the Dijon mustard sauce was very heavy on the horseradish. I had the fish special, seared Kampachi , which was perfect. Dessert was an excellent gelato and a serviceable pecan pie. Overall a wonderful meal in a classic Memphis restaurant. Glad we came early, as Cooper-Young was really busy as we were leaving at 7:30.

    We do love the beauty shop! However I must say it’s pricey, definitely a special occasion place. Maybe slightly over priced but that’s what you get with Cooper Young area. A little loud for my taste, it was hard to talk without yelling a bit. Awkward. They automatically added 20% gratuity on our check for 2 people… not sure we got 20% service but whatever. Love the menu, they are really doing great with the variety and quality of food served here. Will return.

    Melanie was very attentive and a wonderful waitress! Monkey bread was good, with the dill butter. Ordered the Bok Choy with rib eye and it had just enough spice, was delicious. The wild mushrooms were a little different than when we got them last year, more sauce, but still good. Last time we ate the pork and peach and it was OUTSTANDING! Would def get that again.

    Amazing. Really cool ambience - nothing like hair dryers for seating. The fish was some of the best I’ve ever had ( and we are nowhere near an ocean). I highly recommend this restaurant

    The food was very good except the main fish course I ordered was slightly salty. Service was average -not sure if pre adding a 20% tip to the bill motivates great service. My biggest issue was being sandwiched between two tables two feet either side - in a half empty restaurant?
