We had a great time and all enjoyed our food. My only complaint was
the coffee was really not good. Guess I'm a coffee snob but was totally
disappointed in that. Otherwise GREAT!

The hostess & waitress were excellent. We were introduced to the new items available on your menu.
This week we came for Lunch & the Menu had a variety of choices at reasonable prices.
Your prawn appetizer is my favorite item on your menu.
Also, your Happy Hour is excellent! I particularly like coming to this restaurant on important family celebrations. ie birthday anniversary etc..

We went for lunch on Halloween because it is my wife's birthday and she dresses as a witch.
We shared 3 appetizers at our table at the window plus a carafe of white wine.
For a birthday treat they gave us a chocolate ice cream slice to share between us.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us even though they were very busy.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my spouse. I made the original reservation online specifically noting the occasion and followed up with a phone call to request a specific table. I requested a window table with ocean view suitable to see the sun set scheduled for 5:54 p.m. and was assured of a table meeting my request. We arrived at 5:30 p.m. and were seated at a table on the east side of the building across from the window tables. It was apparent that all the tables favouring a western sunset view were occupied. There was no view of the sunset from our location and this was very disappointing! I have owned and operated a restaurant and would never have treated a client this way without informing them if the seating request could not be met. My bill was $150.00 and had I known my request would not be honoured I would have made my reservation elsewhere even if the bill could have been higher. It was not about the money, it was all about the occasion and its need to be perfect. Clients beware!

Beautiful view from our window table. Sushi and steak meal was quite good. Salmon meal was not overcooked. Great location with a predictable price premium. Enjoyed our very cute and professional server, who wore an endearing little blotch of wasabi on her cheek.

Unfortunately, our luncheon was disappointing.
Have spent a good deal at this restaurant over the years.
It was my friend's (of 38 years), 73rd birthday celebratory lunch. We arrived 1/2 hr early, so we said we would wait in the bar until table was ready. We sat for a good 20 minutes there before anyone noticed us, (it was busy in the bar) and some 15 minutes after that when I went back to the front desk to see if our table was ready, we were told we were not on the list. We were finally lead to a seat with a beautiful view. My Caesar salad was too heavy on the anchovy , with a very small, quarter chicken breast (if that) for an additional $8.00. When I mentioned to our server, that I found the $8.00 to be exhorbitant given, its' size, I was told she would mention it to the manager. Found myself wishing I'd ordered the beet/pear/chicken salad instead.
Given we were both on diets, our lunch was modest,(no alcohol this day)and friend had the chowder, which was excellent, but I would have appreciated if my disappointment had been met with more sincerity by our server.

Great view of English Bay and boats going by. Very good food at reasonable prices. Good value for your dollar. The Beach House is one of our favourites in West Vancouver.

The starters (oysters and sashimi) were very fresh and delicious. The steak was excellently prepared and the service was fabulous. Some lower marks on deserts and coffees.

The food, experience, service were all top notch. As it was happy hour, there were many happy people, who in the way of happy people eating and drinking, were making lots of noise. In my advancing years, my hearing is declining, no doubt from the loud rock music I listened to all my life, so that was the only detractor from our dining experience.

The food was high quality and the service was very good. We appreciated that our table was ready and we were shown right to it upon arrival. The view is spectacular and the location is beautiful. We were lucky with parking, but we think it could be a challenge at times.

We were hoping for a seat by the porch outside, but overall, Decklin did a great job in serving us. Food was great, as well as the appetizer. Also, Classic Sundae ice cream was great! and the wine too, Sangria, my fiance' loved it very much.

Thanks!

Beautiful location but had to wait 20 mins for our table as the staff had not arrived to open the patio. Also had to wait 20 mind for the bill. Food was very good and our server was lovely but they need to improve their customer service e so they don't ruin the occasion with copious waiting.

Food and service were acceptable. Window table was very nice. A nearby table of 4 men talking very loud and constantly looking at cell phones and making calls was distracting and annoying. I felt that the wine being priced at 3 Times the store price was excessive. We live within walking distance and felt at the end of the evening we would rather eat at other nearby restaurants.

Although the appetizers were good, the main meal was deplorable. The seafood spaghetti were bland, tasteless and dry. For that very reason I would be hesitant to order any other main meal again.

Should I encounter this experience again, I will return the meal without me being charged. I'm saying this since I love the place and ambiance and will return mainly for that.

Sincerely,

Heidi Schiele

I love the Beach House. Gorgeous location, beautiful building. Nice, elegant setting. The food was hit and miss for a little while, but today was wonderful.

The martinis were excellent and the Korean Bimbap bowl was delicious. A perfect blend of flavours. The service was excellent and I will come back as often as I can. This place is a real gem.

A very nice get together with friends. Perfect afternoon for sitting on the deck! Brunch was tasty however, hardly any crab with our crab Benedict so that was a disappointment. Our server was very pleasant and professional. Will come again.

Went particularly for the Bibimbap rice dish which was excellent when I had it previously. The rice is supposed to stick to the very hot pot and get a bit crunchy. It was not crunchy and the pot was not hot enough to make it that way. They took it back and brought it to me less then a min later which tells me they only nuked it and there was no change except the food was hotter in stead of the pot itself. Missed the mark. Won't be ordering that again. Disappointing given that is why I went there specifically for that. I ordered a salad instead which was very bland. Again, disappointing for this restaurant. I will certainly go again but not for this dish.

Food was good but two of our party waited way to long for their starters. Server was slow with the drinks and at one point informed us they run out of burger buns. In the end they got some. Overall it's a really nice place but the service and manners of a certain bar tender need working on.

I was in Vancouver on Business trip and I just googled for restaurants with View, and the Beach house came up. Glad it did.. the place is breathtaking and food was excellent. also the service. just the staff member that greated me at the door wasn't 10 out of 10. I had a reservation at 815 and I was there at 8.. just the way she said to me you are early and can you wait till its 815.. wasn't the greates, but everything after that was GREAT.

Very disappointed. On arrival had to wait several minutes for the Hostesses to finish their conversation. The waiter spilled wine all over the table while pouring a sample to taste. Of the two vegetarian options as main courses the Korean dish I ordered was unavailable as they had run out of rice!!! I did point out to them that IGA was only one block from the restaurant!
Very noisy with intrusive background music.
Will definitely not eat there again or recommend it. There are many better places to eat in West Van.

We frequent this restaurant very often but this visit was a big disappointment. Our server seemed like he was not present in person at all... the food was decent but not by a long stretch. Vegetables with a meal are scant to say the least and the order was not right. Had to ask for drinks and water several times and flag down servers or staff. On our last visit the order was wrong. Not sure what is going on with the service and kitchen but with the number of regular patrons they should seriously review the quality of both and soon.

General feeling was "worn"! Menu was tattered and man handled, service was bad - server could not remember a specific allergy request. Had no idea of the niceties of serving wine. Food was acceptable but uninspired. This place badly needs an upgrade and service training!

I had never been to The Beach House before and had heard it was a nice "upscale" place to take my wife out to celebrate her birthday.

The deck wasn't available so we sat inside by a window. The air conditioning was on full tilt and it was uncomfortably cool. Service was "average", the food (fish entrees) was good but quite expensive for the experience. Honestly it felt like we were at Earl's Beach House....disappointing!
