If you are wanting to treat an out-of-town guest (or yourself) to a memorable and relaxing meal, the Beach House is a great choice. The prices are quite high but the food is always top-notch and the staff are respectful and attentive. You can't beat the ambience of this beautiful place, with large windows overlooking Dundarave Beach and Burrard Inlet.

There’s no rhythm, no urgency, no pride. Drinks? Hope you’re not thirsty. No one’s circling back to check. You’re an afterthought—an interruption to whatever else they think they’re doing. And yet, they’ve got the location—that prime, smug, view-wrapped corner that tricks you into thinking you’re in for something. But unless you’re here for a masterclass in indifference, you’re better off eating at another down the road. At least there they acknowledge your presence. Don’t even get me started on the washrooms, they are derivatives of a dive bar except without paper towels. Men’s and Women’s alike. Come here to be underwhelmed. Come here to be ignored. Just don’t come here if you’re expecting to be fed, watered, or even remembered. We don’t know why we keep coming back for the punishment, hopefulness they will get better I presume.

The ambiance is so beautiful! View of Kids out swimming in the ocean, playing in the park, weather perfect. When the reservations were made i asked for the patio but walk ins had all the outside tables. That was disappointing.

We booked here for my 60th birthday and indicated birthday on the reservation. When we arrived, the hostesses all seemed very confused and seemed challenged to seat people. We were asked to step back and wait. After about 5 minutes, a manager offered to take us to a table that had a beautiful ocean view. The sun was hot against the window but there was a window blind that we could adjust to make the table comfortable. The service was good with two managers coming by for drink orders and refilling water and the server was attentive and had suggestions on menu items and asked for feedback on her suggestions that we ordered. The food was great, and while the menu seemed a little overpriced, it was likely average prices for west Vancouver and beachfront. The only disappointment, is not once did anyone acknowledge my birthday, which seems to be an issue in my experience with OpenTable reservations. With a $200 bill for 3, it would have been nice to at least say happy birthday. We likely would have stayed for more drinks.

Well. What a Shock when we learned that " happy hour' was not available on the outside, Boston, Martha Vineyard style DECK. Come On. Really? ?? Who made that DUMB decision ? a former government bureaucrat??? We are lifelong devoted customers of the Beach House. Through all it's changes over the last 50+ years. Used to arrive by boat for dinner in the 60's and early 70's and always enjoyed the setting and sometimes the food :) Incredibly improved now. As our the Entire Staff Since Beach House has been taken over in the past 7 years it is the most Outstanding Venue, with the Best Staff and darn good food anywhere in Canada. That's Right Canada And we are qualified to know So after having been at the Beach House 3 or 4 times since June we were shocked that some" management idiot' decided to eliminate Happy Hour on the wonderful Boston outside Deck. HuH!!!!! Come ON!! You've shrunk the Happy Hour Menu to virtually nothing So I'm sure most people come for the wine, fiites, calamari but additionally order items from the regular menu Please Do Not insult your many loyal customers and re instate Happy Hour on the Outside Deck We will still come, but will have a different attitude towards management By the Way. Servers, were exceptional. Blake and his helper were 5 out of 5 And the food was exceptional. Noticed so many tables ordered Fish and Chips which was incredibly unusual. I will too next time This Chincy change is below the best outdoor restaurant in BC and most likely Canada Do the math

All in all it was okay. By the reservation I mentioned that we were celebrating the birthday of my friend. Nobody was talking notice of it. The service was very friendly. The food was good. It was very noisy inside, the music was very loud. The next time I would ask for another table.

Great view, venue, food everything! There were few mishaps and we waited almost 20 min + for the check but tip % was 18 to start. Please be attentive more in that case….
