The Beach Club Restaurant
Atmosphere was great. The restaurant was close to our resort and our waiter Ruben was great!
Couldn’t eat here. The band ( which was not at all good) was so loud we walked out. Now, I love good music at a beach bar, but this was ridiculous. If you want to eat at a hotel beach bar during a bad rock concert, this is your place.
Day us immediately at our reservation time. A little slow to offer drinks. Wine choices pretty limited. Water came out well after the wine. Waiter very friendly. Ordered kalua pork flatebread, Excellent! And onion rings, not very good. This is a poolside restaurant so lots of people around up until sunset. I definitely eat here again.
We actually never even made it for dinner so my food rating is not accurate, but i was forced to put something. Our experience is based on the fact that we couldn’t find the location. Upon calling, they couldn’t even tell us how to get there. We then asked at the hotel desk and were told just to follow the sidewalk, which we had done and couldn’t find it previously. When we finally found it (no signs at all until you are walking in the door) there wasn’t even a hostess at the station. And seeing that it was a very casual (kids in bathing suits kind of place) we left before the hostess came back. Definitely not what we were looking for.
Food was good for breakfast Service was terrible and it wasn’t very busy We who generally tip 20% did not leave any tip Very disappointed
When we arrived the hostess/manager didn’t seem to know of our reservation. Just showed us to the table and dropped the menus. Poor customer service. The waiter was nice and improved the experience. Food was ok but a bit of a dated style restaurant.
Service was outstanding. Good value for the money. Excellent fresh fish on the fish of the day! Would return.
This restaurant was a disappointment. The service was inattentive, the food was mediocre and the ambiance was just ok. For the prices they charge I expected more. The food was relatively flavorless. We had 2 prime ribs, a NY strip and ribs that were ok at best. My fish tacos were ok but didn’t have a lot of flavor. My son did enjoy the teriyaki chicken skewers-he had 2 portions for dinner. Drinks were extremely slow to come out and our waitress didn’t seem very concerned about making sure we enjoyed our experience. I would not recommend this place. There are better ones for similar prices and you will feel you got a much better value.
Staff and food was good. Family next to us was party of 6. Additional family members (3 large adults) joined the party and stood around their table and ate from tables plates during entire dinner.
Extremely annoying. Restaurant manager did nothing.
Made our dinner uncomfortable at best.
Not a fancy place, as it is in a budget hotel. However, food is well prepared and has a variety and kids friendly. The waitress was super friendly. Good place to bring family for a down to earth dinner after a day of beach and activity.
The combination of quality food, excellent service, a peaceful setting, and reasonable prices make this one of the best values on Maui! Recommend that you make a visit.
The two main issues we had were: the waiter forgot the bread and then, making matters worse, he forgot the appetizers! Once the entrees arrived he figured it out and offered to bring out the appetizers....uhhh, no!
Overall just average dining experience in an area where much better can be found. Won’t be back.
It was a nice place for dinner but we found everything to be average at best.
Fish tacos were great. Fresh fish and plentiful serving. Music was great.
Convenient location if you are in North Kaanapali, pretty good food, the jumbo shrimp are excellent. Our server was kind of rude, but the first time we were here was a bit better. Definitely best as a convenience restaurant, not a destination stopping point.
Great fresh food, wonderful fish preparations. Convenient location on the Aston Kaanapali Shores property, which can be accessed from the beach walk. Ate dinner there twice on our trip, and enjoyed the live music and calm outdoor setting both times.
My husband and I had dinner here this past week Outstanding service and food plus it was just a short walk from our condo I would highly recommend it
6 of us celebrated a birthday for one of the group. Our experience, food and especially our server was excellent.
Our server, learned all of our names, making our evening more special
Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Overall it was a very good experience: food, service. Our only compliant was the noise. Kids running around, a few tables were overly loud, and other people loudly cheering a game on the big screen. If you're looking for a quiet dinner as we were this wasn't the place. Otherwise very good.
Wasn’t impressed with the menu options. Vibe wasn’t what we were expecting either, it was more diner-y than a poolside restaurant ambience. I got sick an hour after eating the burger and was fine afterwards but it couldn’t have been anything else I ate.
Overall it’s a good restaurant but in a place like Lahaina it is not a five star restaurant. The menu was average and the noise level extremely high. A lot of big family groups. If your a family of 10 probably a good place to go. If you truly want a Hawaiian feel or food there are 20+ other restaurants to pick from. Reminds me more of a chain restaurant experience.
This was a great place to eat! Great food and good prices!
Sadly this was one of the poorest dining experiences we had in Maui. Food was cold. Prime rib was tough as nails. Overall would not recommend at all. Sorry Team. You need to up your game for a better review or a potential revisit ever.
Great service, waiter friendly and always showed up with everything we were thinking we needed.
Great breakfast. Tried a truly Hawaiian omelet with fresh pineapple. Delicious!
We enjoyed the food and the service was very attentive. This appears to be located in some sort of condominium / hotel complex, surrounded by beautiful gardens and nice views. It’s not fancy, but the American cuisine food choices on the menu offered something for everyone. We liked it so much we made another reservation for later this week!
The seafood was fabulous. I went there twice. The food was good but the service wasn't both times. Too bad.
This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. They have a 20% Early Bird discount on entrees. I had seafood, Partner had a steak; we both enjoyed our meals. Our server, David, was very good, and gave us very good advice on various menu items. Overall pretty good.
I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner. Our waiter was inattentive, did not bring bread til dinner. Our food was just ok, nothing to come back for that's for sure. Service was lousy at best.
*However, we have been to this restaurant for breakfast and have had excellent service and good food. The breakfast food was good, the breakfast server was superb and the prices were right. We will definitely return for a breakfast but will not return for dinner.
They were short staff. The decor wasn't the best.....they need to freshen up the room and hire more staff....for example there was was no hostess
This is a great place in a great location. We had a wonderful time eating here and would definitely recommend it.
This is a great place to have a meal and a drink and enjoy the scenic view.
I was given a gift certificate for this establishment so I thought I'd try it. Food quality was ok. Ambience was typical open air hotel dining area. Furnishings from early 90's. Server was competent. Entrees nearly $30.00. Staff in the restaurant seemed to operate as "free agents"; they didn't help or even acknowledge one another. There wasn't any compelling reason to return. Sorry.
We should have realized when we were able to book a table within a few hours on a Friday night that something was up. The restaurant is very out dated with no view. Half of our table looked into the kitchen. The service was ok, but the food was below average despite the above average prices. The prime rib was very over cooked and chewey, meanwhile the chicken was still pink in the middle. The fish and chips were Very heavily breaded. The best thing about the meal was the bread. It was warm, free, and delicious. Had we only had the bread, we'd give the food five stars. We are not picky eaters, so our complete dissatisfaction came as a surprise. Save yourself some time and money, and choose somewhere else.
The food was really good- we had the prime rib- but the service was not detailed and seemed like the waiters were running around trying to keep up. If they can get the service to match the food it will be a great place to recommend.
We have been coming here for years ever since we discovered this little gem while staying at a condo at Kaanapali Shores. We have been going there ever since at least one time while we are staying at our newly-purchased timeshare at Marriott. The breakfast is what keeps us coming back. The Eggs Benedict is absolutely wonderful! Eggs are always perfectly cooked, the hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy and the food is always presented hot and yummy. They used to serve a benedict with smoked salmon which was incredible but it is no longer on the menu and our efforts to order it have fallen on deaf ears. We always have to beg to get a glass of wine or a bloody mary since the bar doesn't open until the lunch hour but our favorite waiter, Myeron, always accommodates us. It is a little difficult to find as it is located toward the back of the complex next to the pool by the ocean but the prices are great and it is a comfortable little spot for a really good breakfast. Be sure to ask for Myeron as he is funny and a real treat to have him serve you.
Nice place to watch a sunset, however the restaurant is right next to a busy pool, and there are only a few tables with a view. Cesar was great, however the rest of our service was minimal and not attentive. The food was not good....my family compared it to "decent diner food." Overall, disappointing. The worst meal we had on Maui.
Breakfast & Lunch are great, dinner is OK for the price point
I found the restaurant a very good find for the area, which has some very expensive eateries. My main complaint is that it is very hard to find. You have to know who to ask as to the location. My main suggestion is that they literally give instructions in how to find the place. Open Table needs to add some better mapping software. We got there too late for the early evening specials which are good. Enjoyed the food.
This place is okay but really not intended for the outside-hotel-guest diner. It has the look of a lobby lounge, with no beach in sight--just the sad hotel pool. Food is definitely cheaper than elsewhere and moderately tasty but definitely on the lower end. Bread warm, butter ice cold.
