We have been to several high end tapas places from Italy to Barcelona to Lisbon and beyond. Here are the things you need to know.
It is very expensive. There are tapas that are meant as a single bite for $12 each.
You might want to eat something before you get here. The portions are quite small.
There is a component of molecular gastronomy - some will love that, some will not.
The restaurant is cold - bring a sweater or possibly a puffer jacket.
There are people crossing thru the restaurant from the pool and other restaurants in the hotel. If you area seated in that traffic pattern, you might like the people watching, you may not.
The waitstaff is a bit pretentious. That is understandable given the prices.
The dessert was excellent.
Glad to have the opportunity to experience such novel cuisine and a chef who did so much for Puerto Rico. I wish there was one in Boston
Bazaar by Jose Andres has been my fav restaurant in all of Miami. But this experienced left me somewhat disappointed as my family and I were seated in the front bar area and away from the much nicer main dining area. We felt we were kept out of sight bc we had a 4 year old with us.
Amazing as usual! We make it a point to have dinner here every time we come to Miami, which is 3-4 times a year.... personal favourite ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We had a fantastic meal! The menu is extensive, it is almost impossible to choose. The tapas style let us try so many different items. Overall they have wonderful servers and the food runners are well-versed in what the dishes are, explaining them, and explaining how to eat them. They do tray service and it seems like the dining room setup is a little too crowded for the trays sometimes. I would highly recommend that anyone in the area goes here for dinner!
Favorite restaurant in South beach. However we unfortunately had the most disinterested waiter. Asked him specifically if there were any additions to menu. Told us No! 5 mins later at table next to us a very affable polite waiter spent 7 mins going over in great detail all the wonderful choices on the menu and the fact that there was a special truffle menu that night. Our waiter barely acknowledged us. Had to seek him out for additional cocktails. He took the initial order then disappeared the rest of the night. Other staff brought out the dishes. He never asked if we enjoyed a dish or made a suggestion for an entree or side dish. Made evening less memorable. Wish we had the gushing waiter!
Service was great. The food was spectacular a modern take on classic Spanish food.
Great restaurant ! Wonderful variety of small plates. Great presentation.
The restaurant is a great space. The only problem was hotel guests from the outside bar/pool would cut across the serving area in bathing suits and no shirts! Ridiculous and unacceptable
My waiter, Nelson , was fantastic
Second time dining here, liked it the first. Sat night they had a party at the pool and it was a constant amount of traffic of people in shorts and bathing suits many with no shoes on walking right thru the restaurant. Loud is an understatement. They try and make the dishes sound cool but really the price for what you get is not in line. I travel a lot and will look at other options as I am in South Beach quite a bit. Stayed at a hotel next door and Sunday they had another pool party that took over the place and really killed the pool vibe at the hotel I could not image staying at the hotel as a guest.
We loved our visit to this stylish but cozy restaurant. Service was impeccable, from our main server to each server who presented and described a dish. Tasty cocktails, and a nice selection of wine by the glass. We each chose 3 selections - we especially loved the frozen blue cheese sandwich, fish en papillote, and spinach. The endive, pork sliders and seared scallops also were good. The only reason for 4 stars on the food is that two of the selections included "dust" as a feature - it was tasteless and did not add to the dishes. We enjoyed a delicious flan dessert. The menu features traditional tapas selections as well as more ambitious or creative plates. It is a wonderful blend. Our meal was well paced and we did not feel rushed. The room is gorgeous and very comfortable.
Bazaar is extraordinary. The food, the scene, the service make it a Miami’Don’t miss this restaurant!”
We do tasting menus everywhere. And I mean everywhere. This was in our top three. Get the PB &J food gras and their take on the Cubano. Everything was amazing!
The food used to be better.
Unbelievable service and food. Celebrated my dads birthday and the experience far exceeded our hopes. Cannot day enough good things about the amazing staff, delicious dishes, and over the top dessert.
This is a serious restaurant with serious and imaginative food. We were greeted without a smile at the entrance by 2 young ladies who quietly chatted under their breath before seating us. The dining room is expansive with the octopus-like chandelier taking up a large portion of the ceiling in the middle of the room. The wait staff work as a team so we only dealt with our original server on a limited basis. This felt a bit cold and he never built a report with us. The drinks are creative and need to be read in detail before making a selection. The wine list look significant and other beverage items were in good variety. The menu is a bit Asian-influenced on one side and bit more Spanish on the other. There is also a local South Florida vibe presence with passion fruit/ tropical ingredients as well as local seafood. The plates are small as described and in some instances very tiny- the Kuma moto oyster with caviar- 1 small bite for $12 a piece. Delish nonetheless. Navigating the menu is a challenge to a non-foodie. My wife and I are in the biz but still had to read, decipher and decide. Overall, some very good surprises such as the passion fruit stuffed ceviche with hibiscus foam. A little out there but very well done and tasty! You can't be in a hurry either. There is a deliberate pace and the food takes time to prepare. We spent 3 hours and a bit over $100 a piece for the experience. Nice that there is nothing like this in south Beach and we enjoyed our meal. Just be aware of what you are getting into. Recommended for foodies A-.
Flavor combinations were amazing here, definitely Michelin Star quality. Two menus, old school and new Cuban fusion, both should be tried! The Churrasco was the highlight mixing a coffee rub with passion fruit sauce and topped with espresso cream. Amazing dish. Try the N2 caipirinha!!
It was awesome, as always. They had vegetarian options, which was great, and they were even able to modify one item, the coconut rice, to make it veg for me. My husband LOVED the platter of Spanish meats. Octopus was amazing. Cocktails were top notch. A great experience.
Not my type of restaurant. Poor portions, high prices considering what was served (even by South Beach standards) and no one in our group had any dish that made them say WOW. My daughter’a Birthday, but they did nothing special except wish her a Happy Birthday. I will not return.
