This restaurant is great. I didn't realize it was tapas, but it was fine we left full and satisfied.
Restricted to lounge area because male friend wore shorts. A little pretentious I think for Miami in the Summer.
Our server was very stoic. We asked questions about the food options he didn’t have any recommendations. He was very sarcastic when he spoke to us. It was like he was being forced to be there. We have been to bazaar several times, we live in Miami Beach. And this was the first time we were very displeased with our service.
My boyfriend and I have been looking forward to dine at The Bazaar for a while. We finally get to have a little getaway in Miami beach, so we made reservation and were very excited.
We were seated promptly. We had the option to get the Miami Spice menu and we did because its a great deal and the menu sounded very good (They have gluten free options) After a long time waiting to be asked what we wanted to order, we started getting dishes we didn’t even order. We mentioned it to the waiter and he admitted he messed up the orders from another table and that we were getting “free” dishes. Dishes were coming out of order from the menu and they said it was because the kitchen was very busy. The Coffee Rub Steak with Passion fruit butter was terrible. The flavors didn’t make sense together and the rub on the churrasco was very heavy on the cayenne pepper and the coffee grounds felt very gritty like sand. The meat was tough and chewy even though it was cook medium.
Food was not good at all, the best thing I had was my wine. We were so disappointed and heartbroken to have a bad meal at a place we were looking forward to for so long because we admire the Chef. We will not be returning and will not recommend spending your money here.
My husband and I were visiting Miami last week, him for business and me for pleasure. We scored a reservation at the The Bazaar on our final night in town. I have significant food allergies and most dinners out are compromise on top of compromise followed by sorbet for dessert. It can be pretty disappointing. But not here. I let our server know of my allergies and not only did I not feel cheated, I had one of the best meals of my life. The staff went out of their way to make my meal as special as my husband’s. Highlights of the meal were the caviar cone (mine was served on an oyster, even better!), onion soup with foie espuma and the liquid nitrogen caipirinha which served as my dessert. Each plate was exciting, fresh and inventive. And that sangria...? Oof, better pace yourself. It comes on quick!
Food was amazing, super creative and very tasteful. Jovany was our server tonight, he was totally awesome!!!
Bazzar is a lovely restaurant with excellent tapas. Our pre fix meal did not come out in proper sequence and not together. My husband waited and waited for his endive with blue cheese. We asked about it twice, it was delivered last and with goat cheese.
Absolutely amazing food. Service amazing. Presentation amazing. Love love love love it !!!
We had really high expectations of this place. We had the Miami Spice menu, and it was ok. Some amazing dishes, like the Brussels sprouts and the Not Your Everyday Caprese, but the Cuban Coffee Rubbed Churrasco... meh.
Both desserts where amazing and the cocktail (caipirinha) was too good to be true!
In general it was a nice experience, service was 100%! Just we had high expectations... enjoyed it, but not planning to go back.
Amazing from start to finish. Service was outstanding and the menu was delicious.
Highly disappointing. Far from enjoyable. Poor value for money.
I went to celebrate my birthday. Outstanding experience
Outstanding! Great quality food, first rate service!
Both the server and waiter were very professional and inviting. The food was great. We enjoyed the Huevos a La Habana, they were simply different.
We did not like the characters roaming in bathing suits, fishnets, or wearing tanks like they were in the community park having a barbecue.
Superb dining experience all-around. The ambience and Decour is absolutely gorgeous. Food prep and presentation for some of the dishes was actually exciting as the server prepped some of it at the table while describing the ingredients and the cooking process. We had Alex attending our table who completely wowed us with his professionalism and delightful personality. He pleasantly surprised us with add-ons that were complementary throughout the night and in his discretion. It is obvious that the people working there are enjoying what they do and are encouraged to take ownership in their work. We did not feel rushed for a second and we enjoyed our meal to the fullest. Everything we ordered from their cocktails, tapas to desserts were of high level gourmet experience. We were intrigued watching a server next to our table making something with liquid nitrogen, so we asked what was it and again to our surprise when he was done, he brought over a taste of the frozen capirinia drink/ sorbet he prepared on the spot which was amazing!!!
The restaurant manager Edi, spent some time with us to discuss Miami Beach and recommended a few fun places to go to. As busy as this place is he remembered I was previously there and made a point to let him know next time we come back for another outstanding experience. It is highly recommended and we look forward to go back!
Amazing tapas, perfect service, may be on the pricey side but worth the experience and uniqueness.
No swimsuits, shorts, tank tops or open toed shoes for men per the OpenTable information. Nothing on the restaurant's website about a dress code. I wore knee length Bermuda shorts with a blazer and leather loafers. There are no restrictions on women's clothing or any mention of restrictions on hats. I changed out of my shorts into long pants and took off my Panama hat, not a ball cap, so we could eat in the dining room. Then saw many women with dresses and skirts up to their butts and in leotards with cleavage down to their belly button, some of it good to look at, more often not good to look at. It's time for gender parity in restaurant clothing. Nevermind the hotel guests traipsing through the restaurant in swimsuits and Speedos.
Nevertheless, beautiful and tasty food.
Festival.of textures and flavors. Amazing place, incredible food and perfect service. Aboslutely a 5 stars experience.
You're in for a treat sampling the creative and unique tapas, or small plates, that are thoughtfully served out of chef Jose Andres' kitchen. The unconventional techniques and presentations make for a culinary adventure across the globe that you will never forget. The team of servers were friendly and helpful in navigating the experience. Fantastic.
This was an AMAZING experience. The food, ambience and service were more than OUTSTANDING
Dream of a restaurant that will provide the experience you imagine? Dream no more.
You get the feeling that everything is designed for your expectations at this restaurant ... which is of course the way it should be. I have no doubt that if you wanted a romantic dinner for two with invisible wait staff, you would get one. If you wanted a relaxed and fun get together atmosphere, that is what you would get. A highly formal silver service dinner? That too.
The food was creative, fun often surprising always delighting. Our favourite dishes were the Brussels sprouts, the coffee rubbed churrasco and both deconstructed desserts ... the s’mores and key lime pie.
A guaranteed memorable experience. Go.
This was one of the best meals we have ever had anywhere in the world. We have eaten as Michelin star restaurants in Europe and the US, and none of them holds a candle to the entire experience that we had at the Bazaar. The food was beautiful and amazingly prepared. It was fantastic in flavor and presentation. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They treated us like royalty from start to finish. We enjoyed it so much that we went two nights in a row! We will definitely be back to The Bazaar! And Soon! This is a “don’t miss” if you are in South Beach. Shouts outs to Alex and Tommy who gave us spectacular service!
The food and the dinning experience was excellent I can’t wait to return. This was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.
It was an experience in the most positive sense of the word. From the start to the end, our expectations were exceeded.
Excellent as always. Went this time for the Miami Spice. Avoid the churrasco, but everything else is excellent.
LOVED. The food was absolutely amazing - I can't stress this enough. The space is beautiful, the service is excellent and the food is delicious - and completely surprises your palette. I went for dinner twice there on my weekend trip to Miami because it was just that GOOD.
Excellent Food- Well prepared and beautifully presented. Comfortable seating in lovely atmosphere.(once we moved away from the door/ active walkway to pool and next to service station). Could have been a great experience but instead it was ruined by arrogant, bordering on insulting, service. We ordered from Miami Spice Menu (very nice choices and plenty to eat) and added from the main menu though their signature black squid ink paella not available. Told that this is “tapas service” that the dishes come out as the kitchen prepares them….we explained we we celebrating a birthday and did not want to be rushed. We asked not to have more than two dishes hit the table at any one time. The two ‘snacks’ come out fine after cocktails. Then immediately four more on top of each other including one wrong dish…..and the hot chicken before the cold salad. No room on table for all. We were told this ‘normal’. Called waiter to remove one and from then on we were treated incredibly badly. Seemingly on purpose we then had 30 minute waits between each dish which came out cold (churrasco), soggy (toast for veg dish). Food quality and presentation so good they couldn’t ruin it, only the experience. When we told the Mgr he said he wished he had known, but he walked by our table multiple times avoiding eye contact the entire evening. $39 Miami Spice still over $200 for two with two cocktails, two glasses of wine and automatic 18% tip. Great food, horrible experience. Ruined my birthday. Not how they do tapas in Spain, Jose Andres would be disappointed.
Oh what a meal!! It was spectacular and worth every single penny. The waiter was extraordinarily knowledgeable and guided us through ordering. There were 4 of us and he explained how to order (2-4) dishes per person as they serve tapas style. He handled the order in which the dishes were delivered. It was absolute perfection. I never photograph food but felt the need to do so in this case. Highly recommend and cannot wait to return.
Fantastic! I can’t say enough about Bazaar! The drinks were amazing and the staff was informative and helpful. I totally recommend the dragon fruit ceviche. It’s ridiculous!
We had such a memorable experience! The service was top notch and the food was a creative experience for our taste buds.
My husband and I had an amazing time at The Bazaar! From the ambiance to the service to the quality and presentation of dishes, everything was on point. Our Server, Nelson, was fantastic; so personable and informative. You can tell the Staff works as a Team and they really enjoy and respect the restaurant culture. We started our evening with a refreshing Passion Fruit Up cocktail, followed by the twenty-course tasting menu and wine flight. We highly recommend all of it! My husband is an Executive Pastry Chef and had lots of technical questions regarding the menu and found Nelson to be very knowledgeable and willing to share. If he wasn’t sure, he found out and followed back up with us. We were very impressed with his attention to detail. We also particularly enjoyed the Smoked Oysters and Nelson provided an additional plate on the house! The entire menu was delicious and well thought out. Some of the most memorable and/or interesting courses were: Caviar Cone, Jamón Ibérico, Liquid Green Olive, Not Your Everyday Caprese (Liquid Mozzarella), Dragon Fruit Ceviche and Smoked Oysters. Also, we can’t forget about Leo who made Caipirinha sorbet in front of us with liquid nitrogen, very cool action station.
We had the Miami spice menu which was a good deal
I must say..food is not very flavorful..portions were small but it is a tapa style restaurant..if you don’t want to walk a mile you must valet which was 30$.. bill was 238$ for two people two drinks each and two Miami spice meals with one of the meals being upgraded..overall it was good but a lil disappointed considering it’s José Andrés .. I gave four stars because staff was very attentive and dishes were beautiful along with decor.
We arrived early for our 9:15 dinner reservation and our table was ready. Our eye was driven to the massive chandelier in the middle of the room. The restaurant was crowded and the ambience was lively. You could notice the music, but it didn’t interfere with your conversation. We took advantage of the Miami Vice tasting menu which was similar to a “restaurant week” menu. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and suggested excellent dishes from the menu. Although everything we ordered (4 choices each) was delicious and attractively presented, our favorites were the churrasco, the fish cooked in a bag, the patatas bravas, and the deconstructed key lime pie. We added the octopus plate to our order and were glad we did. It was delicious. The only thing missing from our experience was a candle on our desert for the birthday we were celebrating. We saw another table getting one, but we didn’t even after I confirmed the celebration at check in.
Celebrating my daughters birthday and family visiting. Service was sub-par, food took forever in coming out yet no problem sticking us with an 18% service charge.
Amazing experience! From the first plate to the last it was full of magic. A truly awesome culinary experience. The Miami Spice menu, especially with the wine pairings is a great way to experience everything the restaurant has to offer. Would come back in a heartbeat!
Had an amazing meal at The Bazaar. The food was fantastic and fun. Nostalgia is always a great thing to experience in the way we had. Jovani was our server, and we could not of felt more taken care of. He made our experience that much better overall.
Javier was amazing.
Overall the food is very good, and so was the service. A bit too much food for a tasting menu, did not finish the last 4-5 dishes.
I felt like this was a bit underwhelming. I love tapas and didn’t feel like this was really impressive. It may have been our selections but I expected more. Sorry. Great staff. Decent space overall. Typical south beach.
