The Bazaar by José Andrés Ratings and Reviews
We decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary at Bazaar and they did NOT disappoint!
EVERYTHING was Ahhhhmazing and I'm not exaggerating!
I've never been to Bazaar and made reservations on Open Table and you're able to add a note. I let them know it was our 10 yr annv and requested a booth table. My bf was surprised we got a booth until u told him I requested it and he was like this is dope. They even had a sweet note for us.
The manager came out and served us a special champagne. I can't remember what it was but omg did it go down smooth. All I know is it was Cava something.
Our server Precious picked out a great selection of cheeses and meats. All were paired perfectly.
We ordered the tomahawk steak, potato croquettes, cotton candy foie gras. All delicious. I was super sad that the last order of squash blossoms sold out and I couldn't try it but I'll be back!
To top it off we then moved to the dessert room. They had another booth table ready for us. We were gifted with a cute plate of different chocolates.
Simply put best way to celebrate 10! Thank you Bazaar for making it that much bet
Mixed But Positive: my recent visit to Bazaar was interesting. This upbeat, creative Spanish tapas restaurant has much to recommend it. The service was engaging and very good, and there were some wonderful surprises. The "caprese" salad was spectacular -- and that is saying something given how much this simple dish has been done and overdone over the years. Another surprise was the bruschetta, which was wonderful. But sadly, some of the dishes were lacking. The typical shrimp dish served throughout Spain in simple olive oil with tons of garlic got transmuted here to something like shrimp in an ordinary red sauce, without the garlic which makes the dish so recognizable. Other dishes were good but not great and the (mostly Spanish) wine list is ridiculously overpriced. All that said, the experience was a fun one, the stand outs really stood out, and I would go back.
I could not recommend this place more strongly. I have traveled the globe and eaten everything you can imagine - but honestly the Bazaar provided me with one of my most memorable dining experiences ever. If you understand the term "culinary ecstasy" the Bazaar is a must - their Chefs are literally brilliant.
Lastly, the staff there is unbelievable, if I had job openings, I'd hire every single one of them.
Enjoy this treasure......
The food is amazing, creative, delicious and each plate is prepared beautifully .
The dishes are all very fresh tasting and clean... so if you want to eat healthy, and you like farm fresh food, this is it in the most creative delectable way!
I am a vegetarian and there was plenty to choose from . Every single dish ordered was sensational .
The only con I might have is that the portions are small. Yes, I know it's Tapa's but I wouldn't go here if your starving cause it's costly. Also, the atmosphere is wonderful and the decor is beautiful and fun, but it is quite noisy.
This is as close can get to experience what El Bulli was once. It’s so great to see the use of foams, liquid nitrogen, and other Ferran Adria inspired culinary techniques in play. The ambiance is casual yet chic, and the service was outstanding. Great sommelier too. Run, don’t walk here.
Our table was not ready when they told us ready, so they apologized and gave us two glasses of champagne. The drinks were great. The food was amazing. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was great. In the end, they gave us a glass of dessert wine as a service. I fell in love with everything about this restaurant. The bill was not too expensive. I will definitely come back to this restaurant!!!!
Amazing restaurant. 5 star service with more food options than you can imagine. We had the 18 course tasting menu and everything we had was absolutely amazing! They made 2 drinks for us at our table. One was made with fire and tequila the other with liquid nitrogen. The entire experience was over the top and we thought the value was incredible for what we got
Worst experience we have had at this place. They refused to do the tasting menu for lack of ingredients (on a Friday evening early seating’!!!). The waitress was quite confused and mistook most of the orders (though she was quite polite and willing to help).
What a fabulous gem this is. A fun place to take anyone. This is a very different dining experience then you find in most high end restaurants. Service is stellar and precise. The room always has a high energy presence and you leave well taken care of. When I visit LA I always make a reservation here.
We went to the Bazzar in Miami once and we loved it, so we had high expectations for the same restaurant in Beverly Hills, but it turned out to be such a disappointment.
We ordered tasting menu of 15 courses, the dishes were not served in order, they either put four or five dishes on our table at one time, or we had to wait over ten minutes for one dish, and they even serve a wrong dish, which was ordered by others. It was such a chaos and unprofessional.
The waiter was not attentive at all, my friend ordered sparkling water but they brought regular water, and none of them came to refill unless we ask them to.
Finally, the food! I don't know how they manage to make every dishe in the tasting menu tastes the same! Then I get it, they add to much salt, and the only flavor I remembered is salty. I have to admit the best part was dessert, and the dessert chef was really nice.
When the waitress lead us to the dessert room, she asked how was the dinner, after I told her, she said she felt very sorry and would let someone know. However, no one showed up and said anything.
Feeling disappointed, I still gave 15% percent tip, but in my heart I gave a zero.
Incredible experience and unbelievable food. Yes, you could break the bank here if you wanted to really go crazy, but if you work within reason you can assemble an unbelievable multi-course meal complete with table side exotic cocktails and a separate desert area at something close to an staggering value for what you're getting.
The service is impeccable, considerate, attentive (but not hovering or disruptive), and the atmosphere is incredible.
